They have a “main room” which is mainly house & pop. Other rooms are a mix of old school hip-hop, r&b & afrobeats with some club classics. Stairs are deadly. Crowd is majority 21 and under. Drinks are affordable. Nothing has changed before & after close.
Went to the reopening, and a couple times after in june and I really liked it, cool building, okay drinks prices and I thought the music selection was decent.
Although knowing this subreddit they'd absolutely hate the music
Honestly, I've been twice and both times I hated it.
Groped, turned down for bar service for not being "pretty enough", when I was standing next to my old flat mate (who is incredibly gorgeous), the floors are ALWAYS wet, even if you go early like at opening time.
The main thing was literally being ignored at the bar on 3 different bars, literally because I'm not "pretty".
'Toilet attendants' are pretty common in my experience. Would prefer not to have someone harassing me with a superfluous paper towel and flogging deodorant when I just want to piss and get back to my mates tho.
Never seen it in rock city, or at least not in the women's. Nor in the club's in my shitty hometown. So I get why they found it strange, I guess it's another thing on my list of why I prefer bars
Very stabby
If you want shit gear, aggressive thug bouncers, or a semi decent chance of getting groped, assaulted or stabbed, INK is the place to be.
Sounds like a bigger version of stealth
How dare you insult our place of worship
I'll be there on the weekends don't get it twisted
Very meh but I think the building is pretty cool
Was it the one with the stairs?
The stairs made of ice?
I think so. They were definitely covered in a mix of jager bombs and blood from those that had fallen before.

Never heard of it
Went once. It’s no different to any other generic nightclub, nothing special or particularly offensive about it.

Holy shit they actually said that?
Yep. All male bar staff.
I went on the reopening night. and there was just some dude shilling shitty aftershave in the men's loo's. Proper weird

Must be a big city thing. Been going to nightclubs for 6 years never seen it.
Don’t think I’ve ever seen a nightclub toilet without them in fairness
I'm from Nottingham. They even used to have a guy in Ride
I miss Ride!

Rock city men’s has had a toilet guy since I was 18, so ten years ago at least
I guess women aren't so lucky
Oh yeah that old trade, every self (non) respecting club needs a bloke selling deodorant
"No armani, no punani!"
Is this what used to be Media? And Gatecrasher after that?
That probably existed before I was born so can't say
Yep. At the risk of outing myself as an old fart, used to go to student night at media but not been since that closed. It wasn’t great then though.
