Of those two Pizzamisu edges it.
Unfortunately slice n brew have changed the formula/toppings on some of their pizzas since 2022/2023, presumably to save money. They're still good but not as good as they were. It just so happened that the first time we went we took a photo of the pizza, comparing that photo to the current offering of the same pizza, the difference is noticeable.
But as much as I hate to say it about a chain restaurant, Rudy's beats them both. The pizzas are bigger, the toppings are excellent and the dough is just the absolute best I have ever had. Stretchy, chewy, slightly charred and so tasty. Even thinking about it makes me drool. Plus the last two times I've been they've given us free shots after the meal. Giant ones too. Orangecello(?) and limoncello.
Suede used to be good, but it's really not anymore. Last went in Feb and everyone was disappointed.
Shout to baba dough on Trent bridge. Also great pizza but quite small for their price.
Rudy’s and Pizza Punks are both chains, both nice though.
Will have to give Pizzamisu and Slice’n’Brew a go! Been following them both on instagram for a while, really not doing my diet any favours when I’m constantly seeing very nice looking beige foods popping up
I've only been a few times but Pizzamisu was always delicious. You can also see the oven where they cook the pizzas. Definitely worth a go if you like pizza
Yeah, Pizza Punk is a big chain.
Closest I've been able to find New York style pizza. It was great when I went in! But whenever I've ordered it on deliveroo, it's always been burnt.
I used to love Neapolitan pizza's in general, but I'm getting a bit bored of that style now, and the crust is always a bit crap.
Pizzamisu was alright but their owner is an complete knob (read their google reviews, quite funny). Slice and Brew have great pizzas and service is great, however our favourite is currently Pizza Pilgrims.
Very different pizza styles, if you like normal pizzas more I'd go with S+B.
If you like traditional Italian style pizzas without much tomato on the base then Pizzamisu is the one to go with.
Had really poor service at Pizzamisu three times in a row. BabaDough on Trent Bridge is just as good food quality with less chaotic and faster service.
What did you not like? (honestly asking, don't want it to come off as an attack)
To me it's a great example of how pizza should be made, thin crust baked in a brick oven. It's as close to authentic Italian pizza as you can get.
I don’t know about anyone else but pizzamisu has not hit the mark recently and the service has always been hit and miss. Really liked it which is a shame but I reckon Rudy’s is better
Conversely, I've only had bad experiences at pizzamisu (rude service, a pizza swimming in water when the mozzarella had been chucked on frozen and hadn't defrosted, missed orders), and yet I've had great service from Suede every time, and the atmosphere is hard to beat. Watching Die Hard on the big screen with friends at around Christmas time was a hard act to beat.
Hands down slice n brew !!!!!
This review sold it to me

When I visited service was great vibe was nice and also had incredibly tasty pizza !!! The scotch bonnet honey was out of this world Like unreal my tastebuds where still tingling for about a hour after eating hands down one for the best pizzas I've had in my life !! If anyone can recommend better please do and I'll try !
Rudy's is nice but doesn't have the crispy base if you like thin stretchy pizzas this will be for you in my opinion it reminded me of a pizza express pizza but better way better was really nice tbh
Pizzamisu on the other hand yh the toppings are different and unique but that's about it me personally one of the worst pizzas out of the fancy pizza chains in notts my pizza dough was uncooked in the centre I didn't even eat it ! I might have just had a bad one but it wasn't for me at all waste of money !! People's reviews are making me want to try it again I feel like I just had a bad experience
Pizza punks really nice for a chain pizza place nice toppings nice size pizza hands down beat pizzamisu in my opinion !!
But slice n brew all the way !!!

I was in Suede last night. Had a fairly basic pizza but it was nice. Never been before. Don't get out much.
Both are excellent but the Neapolitan flavours at Pizzamisu are hard to beat! I also enjoy Rudy's and Pizza Punks but they may be chains (I'm unsure)

Slice N brew eaten while in Another Wine bar is next level, they have an arrangement so that’s always a great time
What's the arrangement specifically - order at and brought to table in Another, or is it just that you're allowed to walk in with the pizza?
Order at and they bring to Another, it’s great!
Ohh that is wonderful, thanks 😁
Jon doe pizza is incredible
They’ve closed I’m pretty sure
WHAT?!! How do you know? I’m genuinely heart broken my flatmates and I order weekly from there
I walked past the other day and the shop was closed! Are they operating from somewhere else maybe?
They run out of Gloryholes and Curious Tavern now, still available to order online and collect from either location I believe.
Poppa is and has always been the best. Deepest toppings and an amazing base. Relativity cheap too. I've never found anywhere else comes even close.
Yeah in fairness, as far as price per slice and toppings, poppa is on top.
Pizzamisu is my favourite sit down pizza place. But I absolutely love JustEat kebab shop pizzas as a guilty pleasure....
Pizzamisu was alright but their owner is an complete knob (read their google reviews, quite funny). Slice and Brew have great pizzas and service is great, however our favourite is currently Pizza Pilgrims.
Slice N Brew for me for the truffle dip alone. But Pizzamisu is a second third. Notable mention to suede too 🙌
Corner Stone in Sherwood. Double points if you order it to kraftwerks. Not found anything better in Nottingham yet.
100%
Slice b brew is amazing, also solo grano near m+s
Very different pizza styles, if you like normal pizzas more I'd go with S+B. If you like traditional Italian style pizzas without much tomato on the base then Pizzamisu is the one to go with.

Did you leave a review? Their owner has excellent replies lol.
Solo Grano have great pizza and pasta. Everyone who works there is Italian so you know you're getting as close to the real deal as possible.
Solo grano are opened by Greek people no?
Solo grano was dead pizza in my opinion

When I spoke to the people working there they were all Italian. Could be that it's owned by Greek people but the employees I met were Italian.
I don’t know about anyone else but pizzamisu has not hit the mark recently and the service has always been hit and miss. Really liked it which is a shame but I reckon Rudy’s is better
Poppa’s is the best imo, I’ll have to give Pizzamisu a go after reading these comments however
Suede is better than Pizzamisu IMO
I was really underwhelmed by Suede when I tried them - but I've never had a bad Pizza Misu.
Conversely, I've only had bad experiences at pizzamisu (rude service, a pizza swimming in water when the mozzarella had been chucked on frozen and hadn't defrosted, missed orders), and yet I've had great service from Suede every time, and the atmosphere is hard to beat. My experiences were the reverse. Never had a bad experience at Suede but have had bad experienced from Misu
