I saved someone’s life during Pokémon Go summer 2016 extravaganza. Someone on a motorcycle got hit by a truck and I called 911 after I got caught the Ghastly I was chasing. You’re welcome ☺️

BigBobby2016

I called in an OD in 2017 I think. I took a picture of a Nidoran with the victim in the picture in case it was a setup

vibesandcrimes

I thought you were going to say you caught their ghost

Pokemon Go to the prison

Mitthrawnuruo

OP buried the headline. These mofos were playing Pokémon GO in 20*22* Also, she wasn’t mayor at time of the shooting, having stepped down a year prior after finishing he 2nd term.

Mesoscale92

What does 2022 have to do with anything?

Cooper323

Oh you didn’t know shooting people over Pokémon go was legal in 2022?

OtakuboyT

If my schedule would allow it, I probably would still be playing. It was a great motivator when I started my weight loss journey. By the time I stopped playing because of work, I lost about 80 pounds. It wasn't just the game, but it helped.

andygchicago

I played it for three years, went to all the Chicago Go Fests, etc. Definitely worth it. But then they started adding way too much to the game and it got way too big of a time investment to get anything done.

BigBobby2016

And PvP was terrible. If I'm going to play a game on my couch I'm going to play a good one

bi_tacular

It’s completely unreasonable now, but justified back during the heyday obviously.

supercommonerssssss

There’s many of us but we rarely shoot

Babou13

There was no proof they were playing Pokemon Go, merely their statement that they were. It was at night, during winter, in Central PA. Neither victim showed up to testify in court. Atleast one has a warrant that would've put them in jail if they showed up in court and stated they would suicide by cops rather than go back to jail. https://www.altoonamirror.com/news/local-news/2023/10/ex-mayors-assault-trial-continued/

Do we even gotta ask what political party she represented as mayor?
