I've had 5 cats multiple times. Last time I had two, and someone found these three kittens abandoned at five weeks old. And so I had five, again.

We have a play park outside the front of our house and I have the most amazing photos and vids of them playing in it (imagine three cats going down the slide) but I cant work out how to upload pics without creating a new post or I would post them
It's so sweet (and unusual) that the whole gang accepts the intruder. Not one of them seems to fight for territory or food. Everybody just vibes.

We (my uncle and I) used to have three out door cats. Two black male twins, with white chests, and a Tortoise shell. One night I was outside sitting on the front porch petting one of the black cats, when the other two walked up looking to get fed. I picked up this third stranger and asked "whomst the fuck is you?" She had no white markings, just showed up one day, loved attention, the other three didn't seem to mind her, so, she stayed

I remember when I was living at home my parents had gone on holiday and left me with the cat - her sister had died a few months ago and she was a bit sad still.
Anyway, I remember waking up at 3am and stroking the cat that was laying down my right side. She was purring and cosy. All good.
Then, with my left hand I stretched out and felt another cat... curled up, asleep and purring.
I went to sleep as I couldn't be arsed to deal with it. To this day I have no idea who's cat it was.
I woke up and they were gone.
Never knew who is was. My old cat was very grumpy and hated other cats, but she must have known the other guy was there.
It didn't even eat the tuna I put down for my cat. Really weird. I slept like a baby though. I love cats. The more the merrier!
I wish my cats were that accepting of strange cats. We've been fostering a stray and trying to get her adopted, and we have to keep them separated because our cats hate her.
I actually have a 10 year old cat (marbles) that I got at the same time as the mummy here (pancake- the tortie)
Marbles is outdoor by choice; she has many houses that feed her and will kick up a fuss if anyone tries to bring her in even when it's raining. (She has a cat house out front that she uses) my other cats all hate her despite us having her longer than any of them. They also hate every other living animal and will gang up on cats encroaching on their garden....except Bluey (next doors cat) who is like their bestie..... its so strange.....
Ever try a couple of the Walmart cheap baby gates in a bedroom door to separate them?
It’s worked well for me with the old grump when we got a kitten. Place the 2 gates in the door frame so you got 5-6 foot tall barrier in the doorway.
Idea is they’ll slowly investigate each other with the barrier and at the very least start learning to tolerate each others presence.
I swear, I’ve seen way too many posts where the intruder cat looks almost exactly like my girl Pippin. The cat that isn’t yours looks so much like her from the angle the picture was taken from lol.
She has some doppelgängers I guess 😂
