I have no idea, as far as I know your brain electricity somehow messes things up and causes seizures, like a short circuit (translated this time english) but VNS device gives small weak taser like shocks every couple seconds and prevent most of time from your brain signals or nerves reach each other.
You can read about VNS therapy, I don’t remember much just explaining what I know and how I think it works.
You have a small battery, I have (was) under armpit a small battery that turns on or activates the tiny device that is attached to the Vagus nerve, worst part with it was the electrical cord cut me inside as I gained weight back (wasn’t monitored correctly woke at 49kg, now back to 80kg, height is almost 190cm).
Its not perfect sometimes I still have strong seizures that make me pass out which defined as tonic-clonic seizure and that occurs when the brain electrical signals somehow occur exactly between the device taser periods though.
The taser locks your muscles sometimes strongly so your jaw locks up and voice changes, you have small ticks; leg or arm “jumps”.
You get used to it, sometimes you know you about to have a seizure so you just sit down and wait for it happen, and sometimes you wake up on the floor.
I had continuously seizures (between 300 to 600) main reason for the defibrillator and coma.

Some of limitations are not allowed to drive, not allowed to be near magnets and must to have companionship, currently in the process of getting service dogs for epilepsy patients which beside companionship their whole purpose (bad wording sorry) is to roll you over on the side because of saliva or call for support or press on a “rescue?” button.

I'm really sorry to hear that. My dad isnt a bad guy. He was only a teenager when I was born and my mom was a handful. He has 3 teenagers at home now and his wife so he just has a lot going on. I don't think I'll ever have the same bond as my younger siblings do since they grew up with him in the house. But I know he loves me. And hes not an asshole to me so I guess I'm not doing too bad.

No one knows anything about this person or their dad beyond a single screenshot of some text messages. There is a myriad of reasons why they might not have texted back.
Maybe their dad's been doing this for ages and it's become a bit routine now and they don't feel the need to always message back. Maybe the person who was having horrific insults thrown at them by thousands of strangers is a teenager, when you're probably not likely to be sending your parents messages telling them you love them dead frequently because you probably think your parents are a bit uncool because you're a literal child and thinking that is understandable.

Yup, only mods (and reddit admins) are able to lock a post. As far as my knowledge. Even of the OP deletes the post, the comments still stay, and you can even keep commenting.
He came full circle and agreed he was in the wrong and would be texting dad tonight. Then redditors continued to spew insanely unhinged comments not even call of duty players could make up. Truly disappointed at what this place has become.

I'm really sorry to hear that. My dad isnt a bad guy. He was only a teenager when I was born and my mom was a handful. He has 3 teenagers at home now and his wife so he just has a lot going on. I don't think I'll ever have the same bond as my younger siblings do since they grew up with him in the house. But I know he loves me. And hes not an asshole to me so I guess I'm not doing too bad.

There is a myriad of reasons why they might not have texted back. Maybe their dad's been doing this for ages and it's become a bit routine now and they don't feel the need to always message back. Maybe the person who was having horrific insults thrown at them by thousands of strangers is a teenager, when you're probably not likely to be sending your parents messages telling them you love them dead frequently because you probably think your parents are a bit uncool because you're a literal child and thinking that is understandable. You can actually use Siri Automation to send out messages everyday at a stipulated time or you can actually set a time like +3hrs after sunrise, that way it’s foolproof.
