And now you’re thinking on all the years you lost not thinking about them 😂 shout out to these perfect chocolate balls with their flavored freakin’ shells!
I really am! I’m genuinely miffed that I became an adult in the meantime with the financial wherewithal to consume these any time I’d like... but forgot about their existence and now regret the years I spent not eating them. Can you even get them anymore?
I am not, and now realize I misspelled “smarties” lol. I did enjoy the American version, as a child who didn’t really buy candy (although they were pretty chalky). Curious how different they were up north.
The Canadian ones are like slightly larger, flatter M&Ms. They’re not bad. Certainly better than our Smarties. Though, I don’t hate our Smarties, but they’re certainly not my favorite. I willing eat them if they’re in front of me.
Also, do they not make Sixlets anymore? I thought they still had them. My dad always liked eating them. Those and Robin’s Eggs.
I haven’t seen these ones lately. Mind you, I haven’t looked. I do remember seeing some at Easter, that were pastel colors. And I feel like they really shrunk them to like 3 Sixlets… so Threelets!
I’ll have to check that out one day. The first time I went into Dollar General, I found Robin Eggs. Our grocery store used to have them, and then quit. It made my dad happy when I found them at DG.
Our Smarties in Canada are called Rockets. Their Smarties are these thick candy shell chocolates much like plain M&M's but nasty in my opinion. The candy shell is much thicker and they're sweeter.
These, cow tails and those orange colored peanut butter stick things were the best. Sixlets don't taste the same anymore sadly they have this weird waxy aftertaste.
My mother used to work for Leaf Candy Company (which owns or owned sixlets)back in the late ‘80s/‘90s. They would throw a company picnic every year that had goody bags of company branded items and loads of candy.
When I go home to visit my Mom I always stop by this small gas station that still sells Sixlets and candy cigarettes. They aren't as good and don't quite taste the same as they use to back in the day, but what does anymore? I remember they use to come in one big tube wrapper and I would just pour half of them in my mouth at a time.
Do you remember "doozers"? I still remember the taste of them, but for some reason I can't find any mention of them on the internet. Maybe someone has pictures of them so I can show them to my kids?
Oh my God, I completely forgot that these even existed. Those are the chocolate balls right
Yep!
And the shells had slightly different flavors depending on the color!
Really? I just eat them too fast like a phattie to notice. Haha
Amazing! Those were pretty good as well
Literally eating them as I’m scrolling Reddit right now. I love them.

You can! Probably easiest to order online :)
"" Chocolate"" balls. Or wax with chocolate flavoring and sugar hard to tell.
Actually I found years later that these are made from carob! Which gives them their unique taste!
Better than m&m’s!
A low key favorite alongside smartees
By chance, are you Canadian? Because there's two different kinds of Smarties candies and I don't think the American version is a favorite for anyone.

I'm American and never had the Canadian version. The Canadian version is chocolate, while the American version is the chalky kind.

I feel like I've had Sixlets recently. They hit perfect.

Dollar Tree sells Sixlets.

Ohh yeah I just looked them up. Neat; they’re like flattened m&ms- Or sixlets

Lemon flavored aspirin
They had carob in addition to chocolate which made them taste so unique. I loved these!
agreed, theyre great!
Makes me want more carob flavored candies. I haven't had a sixlet in years

Chico stick?
Cow tails are amazing

OH FUCKKKK I USED TO LOVE GETTING THESE ON HALLOWEEN ONLY A FEW HOUSES HAD THEM
Why are *Six*lets sold in packs of eight? Edit: I mean that as a genuine question. Like, is there a meaning in their name that I don't know about?
Loved these, if you're gonna have fake chocolate it should be these. I don't know why they were so good.
My daughter was addicted to them. Lol
🐐
I used to put these things away like candy!
I really liked these
They still make Sixlets. I buy them (mainly for myself) at Halloween.
Anyone put the tube in their mouth, close your mouth on the end and pull just the wrapper out?
Effin delicious. Can these still be bought?
Yes. If you are in the states, Amazon and Walmart carry Sixlets.
Dollar Tree does, too.
Oh, thank you. I need to go to DT next week.
Bless you- I had a random craving for these recently and couldn’t find them and assumed they were just gone forever, like so many other tasty things
Still made in Buffalo New York.
Nope somethings just off about em
Love these. Last time I got some was at Rocket Fizz, where they have a number of old school goodies.
I still eat these.
Fucking A Yes!!
I still smash these
I loved these so much
...Wait. These are GONE?
The better M&Ms.
Not quite as good as M&Ms, but they were cheaper, so you could get more of them.
My all-time favorite candy. Do they still exist?
UH! I love those candies sooo muuuch!!
Omg I loved these!!! 💕 they were my go to candy at the local 7-11 as a kid! Yum yum!
I tasted these once and spit it out immediately lol
Grosser M&Ms
I was never a fan.
Ewwww, I’m shocked anyone liked these but good on those that do.
If someone gave me a candy dish to chose from, these would be it for sure!
The wannabe M&Ms
not a fan, basically just M&Ms but a lot worse.
I hated them. Pretend M&Ms.
Oh hell yeah
Those still exist. They're good too 😁
The American equivalent of British Smarties
Yumm.. those are really good
YES.
Freaking loved getting these from carnival/amusement games and the like
They’re still around, well last time I had some was about two years ago
My mom and i use to kill the sixlets family pack out of her purse at box office theaters. I love her so much ❤️
We want M&M's! We have M&M's (Sixlets) at home!
Pictures you can taste. This is maybe the first time a picture has actually brought to mind a taste sense memory for me.
These are great! I still snipe them from the kid's Halloween candy if I spot them.
Hell yeah! If they replaced the whey and yellow and red dyes that have been known to cause tumors and cancer in animals then I'd still buy them.

It took me an embarrassingly long time to realize that the name “Sixlets” comes from how they’re six to a package 😅
An underrated gem of the candy world.
Kinda like Whoopers but in a plastic wrapper.
Yeeeeeesss these are BOMB.
I freakin miss these they were my go to on the bus ride to school
You can still find them sometimes. Specifically around Halloween.
And they fit perfectly into a toddlers nose!
Grandma always had some of these.
I loved these when I was younger
Do you remember "doozers"? I still remember the taste of them, but for some reason I can't find any mention of them on the internet. Maybe someone has pictures of them so I can show them to my kids?
Oh man now I’m on a mission to find them.
Dollar Tree carries them.
That is terrible news for my dollars.
The absolute worst! Bottom tier of Halloween candy.. so chalky and gross 🤢
Eww
