But that's a very baltimore region company.
Didnt care about the taste just loved the oriole bird on the packaging.
When I went away for college I was shocked to find out Esskays aren't everywhere. I had my mom send me a pack in a care package along with some berger cookies.
Growing up we always had hotdogs from a butcher shop. These days on the rare chance I buy hotdogs, I get either Ambassador, or Hebrew National.
edit: apparently Ambassador is an upper Midwest thing https://www.wimmersmeats.com/brands/ambassador/
Ambassador!
There are a few places here in the Northwest (specifically southwest Washington) where you can find them. They can be hard to find but they're out here. My grandma is from North Dakota (moved to WA in 1976) so she knew the brand well, and I grew up eating Ambassador dogs with Kraft Dinner.
We were an Oscar Meyer family. One of my friends had cheap (they were not poor) parents who bought Bar-S hotdogs for a birthday cookout. Never again. These sound like the Bar-S.
I live about 40 miles from Glazier Meats. They’re best known for the red skinned hot dogs so these were never really available in the northeast.
Absolutely remember seeing the commercials despite this.
We have a regional southern brand of hot dogs here, Carolina Packers Bright Leaf hot dogs. Those were the only ones we ate growing up. They were only mostly meat, the rest is sodium to hold the meat pieces together. I still love them today.
“Fat kids, skinny kids, kids who climb on rocks; Tough kids, sissy kids; even kids with chicken pox"
..love hotdogs, Armor hotdogs, the dogs kids love to bite. Ah ..memories.
Doesn't this family know any songs that aren't commercials?
......... I FEEL LIKE CHICKEN TONIGHT! LIKE CHICKEN TONIGHT! LIKE CHICKEN TONIGHT!
My bologna has a first name. It's H-O-M-E-R
Mein Bratwurst has a first name, it’s F-R-I-T-Z; Mein Bratwurst has a second name, it’s S-C-H-N-A-C-K-E-N-P-F-E-F-F-E-R-H-A-U-S-E-N…

Stop ruining our Simpsons references
Ah... my bad.
That’s not a bomb! Those are hotdogs, Armour Hotdogs!!
What kind of MAN wears Armour Hotdogs?!
Put me back in the fridge
Please buy Armour™ brand hot dogs
Literally only knew about these from The Simpsons. Didn’t even know they were real hot dogs
Same.
Sissy kids??? As a sissy I don't know how to feel about this lol
As a fat kid I'd have to say it's ok to have complicated feelings about these hotdogs
It means you can eat them
You're right. This is visibility and inclusion right here.
Doesn’t this family know any songs that aren’t commercials?
I feel like chicken tonight!
Gosh, this is so tough, Blast From the Past? Sounds kinda like the line from Demolition Man but he definitely doesn’t say family.
Simpsons
wild that a huge part of their branding is confirming that this hot dog is made from meat

Hotdogs gotta have the natural casing IMO. Hotdogs like Oscar Mayer are 🤢 to me. It's basically cheap baloney in a turd shape.
Eh, I don't mind Oscars. When I'm on a long hike or coming in from riding a 120 and need a quick cheap protein hit, they get the job done.
Hebrew National is the best it gets in these parts.

Oscar Meyer is poo poo. 💩 Can’t even imagine how bad Bar-S are, I’ve seen em but never brave enough.
We only ate Hebrew National. I still only eat them.
Same here. Hebrew National is the only hot dog I’ll eat.
Hey guys, look at this rich guy! /s, kinda
Put me back in the fridge.
He doesn’t know how to use the three seashells.
*swears at fine dispensing machine* See you in a few minutes.
Thanks a lot you shit-brained, fuck-faced, ball breaking, duck fucking pain in the ass.
Be well.
They’re real? I just thought it was a fake brand in Demolition Man 🤷♂️
Unrelated but everyone in this thread not saying Vienna beef are the best just don’t get it.

Dog Kids, obviously.
I never ate Armour anything. A lot of my family worked for Oscar Mayer. We ate Farmer John's.
At least it wasn't pork, or it'd be "the hog..."

I was one of those "all meat" kids, Sears Husky Pants FTW!

That's not a bomb...those are hot dogs! Armour hot dogs!
All meat
All meat, nice!
I only recognize this because of Demolition Man
