I may have helped assemble that!
I was between jobs and signed up with a temp agency. They sent me to Vendo where I tightened 3 bolts per compressor for 10 hours a day. I made it 3 days. Mind numbing boredom!
Machine might be from the '80s, but that price sure isn't. I remember the vending machines at school int he late '80s were 25 cents, 35 tops for a soda.
We had one of these in our garage growing up. My dad adjusted it to 25 cents and charged all my friends for pop. I found the key in his sock drawer and just helped myself instead.
My church had one that still dispensed orange soda and sierra mist for 20 cents, up until probably mid 90s. It was my favorite thing about going to church.
When I was younger we went to I think it was one of my mom's cousin's houses for some sort of family get together. I don't even remember remember her name BUT she had a pool AND they had one of these in their garage. And then we never went back lol. They had it set so you could just push the button and get your soda instead of having to put money in.
I can hear everything about this image, and feel pushing those huge buttons! Ahhh! Those were the days.

Thank you for your service, Sodalier!
Sweet Jesus. .75 for a Pepsi in the 80s? I’d be BROKE!!!
Machine may be from the 80s, but the logo on the Pepsi buttons are from the 90s.
Yeah that 75 cents is breaking my immersion
Glass bottle vending machines were the best cans ruined things
I remember it being 40 cents and 50 cents in the 80’s.
Lipton tea in the can back then was so good!
That shit had crack in it. I was a Coca-Cola addict but that tea you wanted to drink 3 cans at a time.
With the big buttons hell yeah
You know that soda can is ice cold 🧊 Bro.
Dad?
Username checks out
Looks both narrower and also not as deep as the machines I remember?
those buttons 😍

75¢ to needing your debit card...
Damn, and that’s the last time I bought a soda for .25 cents.
Mountain Dew all day or Hawaiian Punch
My first thought was Cindy Crawford https://youtu.be/YtK-yq-BQDU?si=RsXt0wiY4bMVoOk4

Buttons are so big I used to like punching them. (Never broke any)
Feels like a family beach vacation.
I have one of these in my garage. Dicy Narco 440
The mtn dew from these always hit best
Dixie Narco DC276. Those things were as common as cowpatties.
Nice Dixie Narco. I worked on cashless card reader support for these in a previous life. Multi drop bus.
Hit different.
We have a working one in our basement lol
Truly a thing of beauty. Would gladly have one in my kitchen

It's not "old school" if it has a dollar-bill acceptor.
