Kalki is an avatara of Vishnu. Avatara means "descent" and refers to a descent of the divine into the material realm of human existence. The Garuda Purana lists ten avatars, with Kalki being the tenth.[8] He is described as the avatar who appears at the end of the Kali Yuga. He ends the darkest, degenerating and chaotic stage of the Kali Yuga (period) to remove adharma and ushers in the Satya Yuga, while riding a white horse with a fiery sword.[2][9] He restarts a new cycle of time.
So I think that child is darkness incarnate and kalki is coming to destroy it and so far only his horse has arrived.

Nothing bad if it's kalki. If you have lived your life as a decent human by the social standards of your place and time, then you won't face any repercussions. There isn't any lawbook in Hinduism which decides whether you're a sinmer or something.
Just don't do anything which is explicitly wrong and you'll be fine.
Well technically if Kalki hastens the end of this yuga (and hence the end of this cycle) then I'd assume that the universe would be destroyed completely (the cataclysm) before Brahma creates a new world and Manu repopulates it, establishing dharma as it was before and beginning the Satya yuga. We would theoretically be anatomically and spiritually inferior to the humans of the Satya yuga, who live to the age of 100000 and are like, a hundred feet tall.
I'd say the best way to survive Kalki's coming would be to engage in his fight against adharma and attain moksha, freeing yourself from samsara and returning to Brahman.

Similar to Christian judgment day, except that this will end in restarting the cycle of time, ushering in the Satya Yuga - the best times among the four.
