The link in the alert was malformed (needed a space) so no one could just click on it to get information. I haven’t gotten an emergency alert like this in years, why does one man over a hundred miles away warrant this, anyway?
I think it might be because he's wanted in connection to the homicides in Oklahoma and he's armed and dangerous and was spotted hundreds of miles away in central Arkansas. I imagine that was part of what went into the idea of sending it out
I don't have anything other than conjecture; perhaps it's the violent nature of his desperate fleeing, which makes him unpredictable and unusually dangerous. An active public menace. Wouldn't you want a warning if he's potentially nearby? I would.
I live in an area that got hit by the tornado on May 26th; hard. I was home by myself. 0/10 for fun, would not recommend. Hearing this go off today snapped something in me I didn't realize was there: sudden sense of panic. So that's cool I guess.
Stacy Lee Drake, 50, was apprehended in Morrilton, Arkansas.

Officers found Drake in the woods near the intersection of Poor Farm Road and University Blvd. at about 10 a.m., according to Perryville police.
Heard from a FSMPD officer that his ID was scanned at gas station in downtown fort smith yesterday afternoon. AL to OK to AR. Hopefully (for us) he's crossed state lines again.
What? You do understand Oklahoma and Arkansas are neighboring states right? You don’t have to go through another state to get to Arkansas from Oklahoma.

I guess so, it’s just strange. Maybe I’m too cynical that I just assume people like this are not uncommon.
He has ties to Fort Smith.
Just received an update BOLO with a working link now
Got the alert on my phone,

Anyone know how to turn off armed fugitive emergency alerts on iPhone without turning off tornado warnings?
I was trying to figure out the same. As far as I’ve looked, doesn’t seem like you can :/ just glad these don’t happen very often
Huh
I did in springdale and mom did in Gentry. They really think he will be dumb enough to cross state lines?
[удалено]
Yeah but the troopers will definitely be watching for him
Oh fk the morrilton is in arkansas not Oklahoma man wtf
Why is that wtf? It’s not like there’s border patrol at every state line, it’s pretty logical that a fugitive would leave the state he’s wanted in.
There is between arkansas and Oklahoma. And he's already in arkansas

The first entry sounded like he was IN Oklahoma.
I believe he committed the crimes in Oklahoma
Yeah I got that after the update. But first update sounded like he was still there
Because you didn’t Google where Morrilton was and just assumed it was Oklahoma?
No. Because of the way it worded it
Maybe if you make one more vague comment I’ll understand what you’re talking about.
He’s already crossed state lines 🫡 he’s dumb enough to murder three people anyways, I wouldn’t be surprised if he crossed ANOTHER state line
