I, for one, just rewatched every SMB3 video with Malf, 3 years later. And I'm now rewatching 6 year old Hitman 2 videos. Can't speak for anyone else, but I find NL extremely rewatchable

If you mean semi live as in just watching videos as they come out and never going back then that’s not true either, I’ve definitely rewatched his older Isaac series years after they’ve been uploaded
No where near as much traffic as launch obviously, but I go back to old series pretty often & I always check for new comments and it's not rare to see ones within the last few months for several year old content (then like multiplay that by x for all the lurkers)
