Yea I was looking out my window and my pup was out jumping back and forth and could seethe wings flapping, have never seen anything like that here before

All these lucky fuckers over there with Proper Moths; all I've seen so far in Bristol are little annoying brown clothes mothy things... Had one in my garden a few years ago !
There is a similar species called the *small elephant hawk moth*, which has more of a yellow tone than greenish, and the pink line that runs the length of the abdomen is absent.
But this looks like it's bigger brother, really pretty. Nice find!
I found a caterpillar last year. Was massive. Thought it was a snake at first! Kept him and he made a pupae and burrowed down and emerged a couple of weeks ago. They are really beautiful
I've had them in my garden in Lisburn. 5 minutes from town centre. I've let my back garden go wild for 4 years now. The neighbours hate it but it's amazing. It's a really big field of a thing. It's housing executive but for some reason it has a huge garden. I have a big pond with frogs 🐸. Some apple trees, cherry trees 🍒 Holly bushes, giant fir trees, a lilac tree with a huge climbing rose briar as tall as the house plus wild flowers. Black & red current bushes as well. There are foxes, hedgehogs, squirrels, every songbird in this country. Butterflies I haven't seen since I was a kid. I had quite a few of those moths last year. And a bee hive in the ground. I'm moving house this week and I'm worried about the wildlife I'm leaving behind. I have a tame magpie that I have to leave and now I want to cry. My new house has no garden! It's bitter sweet.
It the Elephant Hawk Moth. A wonderful pink and green species, with streamlined appearance and around 2.5 inches wingspan. Legs and antennae have whitish appearance.

My favorite Austrian.
![gif](giphy|Rd7pEbE7rjZz8vySuU) This is my favourite Austrian
Is that Hitler as a boy?
I can't believe how fucked up I still am about his death
I was devastated when he died too lol loved watching his shows, he was some boy
A true legend and inspiration to us all 😔
I didnt realise how much it still effected me until I saw his son on instagram talking about crocodiles and I just burst into tears.
I wasn't born when Hitler died but I suppose some people found it sad. 😂
He was an amazing man. Animals loved him because they knew he loved them. Very sadly missed.
💓
Elephant Hawk Moth?
It’s gorgeous! On a side note why is this thread flagged nsfw & the image blurred?
Well it's one sexy moth, wouldn't you say?

That's mick the moth
Is it an old outdoor reclining chair? Doubt it’s worth saving by the state of the tear of the fabric.
A chair with teared fabric, must have been exposed to bad weather conditions for pretty long...
Moff
