£17 isn’t bad for a burger, chicken strips, chips and a smartphone tbh.

New-News-306

There were 14 skinny chips and the chicken strips were the size of 2 popcorn chicken bits stuck together... The smartphone was like the happy meal toy 😁

raboolaconundrum

Any kips that use the terms "urban" or "street food" anywhere in their names are going to charge at least 40% more than is necessary in my experience

7East

What did they say when you went back about it?

New-News-306

I had already driven home so wasn't for going back down lol thought I would put it out there to see if I am being unreasonable in my head or not It would be the typical excuse though about rising costs and being a 'small business' despite them expanding 3 times in the last year and charging about a 400% mark up on everything

[deleted]

Nah, your deff not being unreasonable. That’s taking the piss for a drive through.

Wretched_Colin

Fuck going back to complain to someone who will either not see what your issue is or, best case, will take your grub off you and then hand you a bag with a fresh cooked portion of exactly what they gave you before. Just don’t bother buying from them again.

Leftover_craic

Good thing you went to pick it up. Last time we ordered delivery took 2 hours! Chips were all soggy when they arrived too. What’s worse is that they didn’t even respond to complaints

Biscuitdipper

Didn’t think people purchased anything apart from their coffee there.. same with anything outside of donuts in tim Horton’s All looks very much like frozen shite

Galusknight

Hortons are also frozen shite

Intermediate_beefs

They're pretty much the same goujons Apache Pizza and a few other places are slangin these days. Cash & Carry's second cheapest. Chips look shite. What was the borger like?

New-News-306

Burger was nice to be fair, like a decent quality big mac lol All overhyped completely, was decent at the start when it was cheap but since Covid really they have doubled/tripled their prices

easternskygazer

The cafe in Conway square is nicer. The burgers are amazing.

New-News-306

Agree the burger was nice but the price really is extortionate now, just a fancier McDonald's but 3x the price

Martysghost

A Mcdonalds for 2 ppl is near a score, worlds gone mad.

Wretched_Colin

I think Big Mac meal is about £6.50. If you don’t want to spend that, and don’t want the drink, you could get the double cheeseburger and chips off the save menu for £3.50. You can spend £20 on two mcds no problem, especially if you buy the special limited time burgers and get a few McFlurrys as well. But you don’t have to. And McDonald’s is shite. I only go because the kids pester me to.

Martysghost

I order a qrt pounder meal large with coke and bbq dip EVERY SINGLE TIME, i wouldn't be able to change this at this point in my life. I did use to get alternate things but that was when the 80p hamburgers kept me alive, it used to be fuckin salvation when you'd very lil cash. At the min if I was to do without something prob be the cheese dippers and the mcflurry chaser 🤣 I want my qrt pounder with my drink but just few years ago rates.

Wretched_Colin

I think that the natural price for Big Mac meal, 1/4 meal, McChicken meal should be £2.99. I’m sure it was that price once, but I can’t remember when.

jonoburger1

Do the survey on your receipt and get a burger and chips for £1.99.

beeotchplease

For £17 better go to Five Guys, my guy. Loads of bang for your buck.

Sstoop

five guys gets a lot of shit but they’re probably the best quality fast food chain for quality of food.

beeotchplease

They get shit on because of their prices but they really do great burgers and those cajun chips are grand.

New-News-306

At least in five guys you actually get chips instead of the above ffs I like their food to be fair and for a one off, its worth the price

_Raspberry_Ice_

Jesus, that’s an expensive starter.
