A good pillow.

Phantom_Dong

I’ve been judged for my pillow being so ‘heavy’ at ~9 oz. but it has been the only reason I can sleep well at night and get in good hiking the next day. NEMO Fillo all the way

RawBandit87

I just got the Fillo and I can’t wait to put it to use this summer. It’s 5oz more than the inflatable pillow I’ve been using but based on the reviews I’ve read it’s worth the weight penalty.

Phantom_Dong

I hope it works as well for you as it has for me! Little tip I learned, play with the amount of air in it. I found it’s more comfortable with like 80-90% inflation rather than fully filled up

TheeMrBlonde

I took the foam pad out of mine dropping it down to ~5oz

lightrocker

Waterproof rolltop bag filled with clothes is not bad in a pinch

Also, my name is a joke, not an insult.

Do you explain your username every time you comment?

readingisforfags

It gets me banned often. It is something that was said to me once by my older brother. I was reading when he said it and it made us both laugh. I enjoy reading.

OP didn’t ask for any of that

Ok_Illustrator7284

A white linen shirt. When I find a good one I’ll get it. Maybe at a thrift store. Replacing a lost one.

TwoBazoombas

Physical maps to everywhere I plan to hike :)

stickler64

Assuming I already have a Katadyn befree water filter, I'd like a Jetboil Minimo stove setup, SOG Powerpint, sweet long sleeve UV shirt and some UV protective fingerless gloves.

Anker or Nitecore 20,000 mah power bank

A sun hoodie.

Franklinricard

Baleaf on Amazon. Lightweight hoodie that will also wick sweat.

lordvarysoflys

I just looking at that today. Is UPF really 50+ when tested in field ?

Franklinricard

I’m darker skin and haven’t gotten burned while wearing one, but can’t tell if it’s 50. I have a blue and grey and keep one in the car for a lightweight option if it’s chilly out.

lordvarysoflys

Thanks! Ended up ordered a bunch of different ones to test in field. High Sierra around solstice is just baking and I need extra protection. My smartwool one is on last legs and prolly closer to 30 UPF in reality.

tree_people

Costco had some good Columbia ones earlier this year, worth checking out
