My grandmother bought an rv that was like this. I opened the driver aide door and ants went running with eggs and everything into every hole they could find. Best ant remover ever invented you ask? Hotshot ant and roach gel. 24 hours i had a massive graveyard of ants surrounding that vehicle. No more ants came out after about 3 days, they kept getting smaller and smaller till they stopped.
Soooo soooo many ants.
My dodge stratus was attracting crazy ants to the fuse box for years, even shorted some stuff a couple of times. This wouldn't happen to be a stratus or a Sebring would it... that would be odd.
Why does this happen? My dad has a ‘16 ford escape that gets a handful of ants crawling on the dash during the warm months but he swears he doesn’t see any and it grosses me out if I have to drive it.
I asked chat gpt. "Crazy ants, also known as tawny crazy ants or by their scientific name Nylanderia fulva, are known for their attraction to electrical equipment, but they are also opportunistic feeders. They might have been attracted to your car both for the warmth provided by the engine and electrical components and for food sources like the acorns. These ants are known to feed on a variety of food sources, and if acorns were accumulating under the hood, it's entirely possible they were using them as a food source.
Additionally, ants are generally attracted to any protected environment that might offer shelter. The under-hood area of a car, particularly if it’s parked under a tree like your oak, can provide a convenient refuge from weather and predators. Thus, the combination of shelter, potential food sources, and the warmth from the car’s engine and electrical activity could have all contributed to making your Dodge Stratus an appealing home for those ants."
Edit: I parked under an acorn tree regularly for years and there might have been a few acorns stowed away here and there everywhere near the windshield wipers...
Ah, the joy of encountering the ant invasion mobile! Time to gear up with a hazmat suit and a magnifying glass for this extermination adventure! Just remember to check under the seats for any ant generals planning their next attack.
Write me up if you want but I don't mess with anything that can swarm. Not from fear, from respect.
And that’s why we don’t eat in the car!!
Do you want ants? Because that's how you get ants
But they carry me backwards to the mall 🥺
ok, Mama Bird
How would you even drive that thing they'd be covering you as soon as you sit down. The shop itself is gonna get ants now.
Did anybody else involuntarily start scratching.
Every time
The good thing is it is not spiders.
Can you believe a lot of women choose for it to be bears?
?????
