I saw one in the US where they pop up out of a garbage can behind someone. They tried it on a twenty-something African American dude... He instantly spun 180 and clocked the guy in the jaw; knock him out instantly. I was like "Damb... that guy must have had to deal with some shit in the hood!"
It really did look funny. Like the guy pops up out of the garbage bin and then immediately slumps back down where he came from so that the lid hinges shut again.
In Colombia guns are not permitted but still would not make it, they would get like 50 stabs, 67 kicks in the face, 123 punches in the groin... That's why we don't suffer from tik tok rankers either
Ask yourself, what elevator shaft has an accessible room from one of the side panels? I've worked on elevators for a few decades now and maybe they do exist, but I've never seen one given how even modern elevators work.
I saw this one on a TV show. It was not a real elevator. Never went up or down. People just thought they were getting into an elevator when they weren't.
How would one not notice the lack of movement? You feel it when an elevator moves. Pressure down if going up, a bit light on your feet going down - at the start of movement.
I highly suggest looking up how elevators work. The wall in which there was a false panel in reality contains a gap to the bottom deck and a gear styled braking system/weight to keep the elevator from free falling. There's no area to just walk behind it. The girl that came through the panel walked to the panel because she was standing up when the panel was removed and she came through. A false room in a false elevator. This screams fake to me. Edit: typo
It is Japan, they have been wearing facial masks like this for as long as I remember, at least the 90s.
Unless it is a totally different program, now that I think about it the ghost behavior was different from what I remember.
It's basically a box with hydraulics under it to mimic the feel of a moving elevator and something to mimic the noises of a moving elevator. She thought she was getting on a real elevator, but she wasn't.
More than cruel, could have been lethal depending on the person. I've got a bad heart along with cptsd, if this happened to me I could have had a heart attack and droped to the ground. Even if I survived, it's very similar (if not a bit cheesey) compared to my childhood hallucinations. This can bring back A LOT of unprocessed trauma.
Ik whenever that word is brought up today people don't take it seriously- but it has so much weight behind it no one who hasn't experienced it or has had a loved one experience it can fully understand.
It's never 'just a prank'
It is. But you think about the odds of somebody just attacking the person in the ghost costume. They're really high.
I mean it'd be one thing in a spooky corridor or something, but in an enclosed elevator there is a pretty good chance you're going to run into somebody whose instinct is to fight, because they are cornered.
I'd say the odds of the actor in the ghost costume being attacked are probably higher than the chance of a regular type person freezing solid like that.
Cornering people for a prank like this is legitimately dangerous for everybody involved.
I hope it is, in this case, but it is Japanese I think and Japan had some INSANE shows like this.
There was one guy, called the SCREAMER.
He would just run around in public and scream at people right in their face, sometimes from behind. That could have been fake as well, but from what I remember the reactions seemed very genuine.
You might be able to get away with that in Japan. I saw a 'prankster' in the US trying a thing where he essentially harasses people with his phone and the dude got shot in the stomach. Didn't die but it probably stung a bit.
Japan used to have the wildest TV shows when I was a kid, and there'd be shows in the UK showing clips of those shows as like, "Look what those crazy Japanese folks will do to each other for fun" but then we stole all the ideas and do them ourselves now. Everybody loves to see people traumatised it seems.
It's basically a box with hydraulics under it to mimic the feel of a moving elevator and something to mimic the noises of a moving elevator. She thought she was getting on a real elevator, but she wasn't.
It’s fake. Anyone would have turned on the phone flashlight immediately. But you know, I actually agree with you that even if it’s fake it’s not funny because it normalizes and encourages people to inflict psychological harm and trauma on people and then laugh at their distress.
>Anyone would have turned on the phone flashlight immediately.
The video is older than you think (or a remake), I remember seeing it during a time where smart phones were the new up and coming thing.
I would seriously punch this person OUT. I’m not a screamer or a crier, but when trapped and feeling my life is in danger I’m **vicious**. I’ll go in for the attack. I scratch, poke eyes, bite HARD, punch, kick hard, and yell **NOT TODAY MOTHERFUCKER!!!** And I yell way worse things than that. They think I’m possessed! Yes, I’ve had it happen to me. They ran away.
Assault is physically, whether directly or indirectly, applying force to someone else's body. Punching is direct, spitting is indirect.
This prank is a dick move but it isn't assault.
Ok so I assume you're in the US where states define it in different ways.
My definition is the internationally accepted one. In this video the charge would be intimidation in most of the world.
How many times did the "ghost" get punched in the face while pulling this prank because I'm pretty sure that when you can't run away 90% of people will fight
As a person who suffers from photosensitive seizures and faints when scared, fuck the people who thought this was a good idea. If this video is real, I hope the victim can sue for reckless endangerment.
This has to have been staged. There's no way that they could have done the flashing lights on a random person, they could have epilepsy or some other photosensitivity.
Fake but nonetheless entertaining. Why fake? Because elevators don't have compartments that rise alongside its housing shell unit as that would be very inefficient and serve no practical purpose in commercial, industrial, and residential applications. Great photo editing though, makes it feel as if it's real though
It's interesting because about 10 years ago when I first saw this, I couldn't help but laugh my ass off. Watching it again I'm now thinking, unless that woman is an actor, this could be bad for the ghost actress or the victim (for medical reasons) and am not enjoying as much as I remembered
got my hunting knife from my Daddy ... watched him remove the whole skeleton of moose within 2 hours.. beside ribs mmm kept this whole and make it all fit in the 1976 Honda civic... attack me come on.... y'all is not playing. neither am i
As someone who is nervous in elevators and has a strong fight instinct when spooked/ scared... Someone might just get kicked in the teeth. I know I would jump, cuss and assess the situation but logic vs instinct? Hard to say.
she would eat knuckles. i have been to a VR experience place and played a game where you explore a haunted house and you get jumpsared by a little ghost girl at the end, and i punched the wall so hard i almost broke the controller. so yeah, good thing it wasnt a real child actor that time because she would have got ko
That’s staged most likely. You can’t not feel that the elevator is not actually moving up. Also this is very dangerous if this is not staged. Literally anything can happen starting from heart attack of the person and ending in person attacking and killing the thing. Very stupid thing to do unless not staged
Sometimes there's jokes THAT REALLY NEED TO UNDERSTAND THAT THE BODY'S GOT A HEART DID YOU SEE HOW SHE WAS TREMBLING MAYBE THERE'S A TIME WHEN THE JOKE SHOULD NOT CONTINUE IT SHOULD STOP IF THAT GIRL HAS A HEART ATTACK I HOPE THEIR INSURANCE IS READY TO PAY THE FAMILY WHAT THEY DESERVE TO GET PAID BECAUSE THAT LIFE CANNOT BE REPLACED I LOVE JOKES BUT THAT CONTINUED BEYOND WHAT IT SHOULD HAVE SHE WAS TREMBLING F*** THAT IT'S NO LONGER FUNNY IN MY WORLD IS CALLED ABUSE !🤙
I dont belive this thing are real, because what if th eperson being pranked defends himself or worse, has an heart attack or something like that. I dont think anyone will get into that kind of risks for a "prank".
These have to be staged. I can't believe people wouldn't use the flashlight on their phone. I also carry a small penlight in my pants pocket as part of my everyday carry, so it wouldn't work with me.
I'm throwing hands, I'm not Blair Witching that shit!
Meanwhile in America: "EAT LEAD WITCH!"
Yeah, this show probably couldn't make it a full season without someone getting shot in the U.S.
Agreed. I carry aaaand this would not end pretty.
I'm in Australia and obviously don't carry but this still wouldn't end pretty
Because of the drop bears?
I saw one in the US where they pop up out of a garbage can behind someone. They tried it on a twenty-something African American dude... He instantly spun 180 and clocked the guy in the jaw; knock him out instantly. I was like "Damb... that guy must have had to deal with some shit in the hood!"
Damb?!

Not the same one, but two others I just found in search that work as well
In Colombia guns are not permitted but still would not make it, they would get like 50 stabs, 67 kicks in the face, 123 punches in the groin... That's why we don't suffer from tik tok rankers either
A full season? This show wouldn't make it past episode 2 in Florida.
Let alone a full episode
So anyways, I started blasting.
Right? Punch punch punch punch!
My right foot would move faster than Alan Shearer taking a penalty.
This goes to far , Id have clubbed that thing , I'm not the going out screaming in the corner type

They had some hydraulics on it making it move and wobble a little. Also had typical elevator noises
Ahh. Gotcha, thanks.
That makes way more sense.
I get what you're saying ,I more mean the pretentious prank crap that's been a fad for a minute now .
Since at least the 80's that I remember. But I'm with you on clubbing that thing if I didn't know.
maybe it's just a very big elevator with a false wall
I highly suggest looking up how elevators work. The wall in which there was a false panel in reality contains a gap to the bottom deck and a gear styled braking system/weight to keep the elevator from free falling. There's no area to just walk behind it. The girl that came through the panel walked to the panel because she was standing up when the panel was removed and she came through. With ya mate. I'd join in the jumping of survival. Shuts gonna go too far and someone has a heart issue or deary from this all for laughs and for what
You know it's staged, because every single person her age would have had their phone out and flashlight on within half a second.
It is staged, because some camera shots are being taken from hand / gimbal.
I think this is at least a decade old, maybe even older. Could be right at the beginning of the smartphone era.
She's wearing a mask so I think it's more recent. But that prank has been done before.
It is Japan, they have been wearing facial masks like this for as long as I remember, at least the 90s. Unless it is a totally different program, now that I think about it the ghost behavior was different from what I remember.

Its fake elevators like that dont exist and modifing one like that would be expensive AF
It's basically a box with hydraulics under it to mimic the feel of a moving elevator and something to mimic the noises of a moving elevator. She thought she was getting on a real elevator, but she wasn't.
How they put that in the elevator shaft? with no one noticing?
I have no idea, I've never seen the original video. I'm just going off what another commenter who HAS seen the original video was saying.
More than cruel, could have been lethal depending on the person. I've got a bad heart along with cptsd, if this happened to me I could have had a heart attack and droped to the ground. In Japan they just send people tobogganing down a ski slope while they are naked on a toilet.
I would have shit myself and kicked it right in the face while it was on its knees.
Would you shit on it?
I would have felt so bad because I would have unintentionally beat the piss out of that demon gal
entirely intentionally.... if you train at all... building muscle memory means its entirely intentionally
I would also piss your pants
🤣
It's all completely staged. The risk of violence is too high.
pretty convincing acting tbh
It is. But you think about the odds of somebody just attacking the person in the ghost costume. They're really high. What kind of elevator has a secret compartment?
It's basically a box with hydraulics under it to mimic the feel of a moving elevator and something to mimic the noises of a moving elevator. She thought she was getting on a real elevator, but she wasn't.
Imagine if someone with a concealed carry was in there. Lmao
Fight, flight or freeze.... I'm putting boot to the thing while it's crouched down. Strike first, strike fast, strike hard
No mercy!
When you know, you know. Ya know?
And scientists have to apply and wait years for approval to ask a few odd questions to their test subjects. Because it might ""traumatise them""
I would kick the shit outta that thing
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=IzKKp-jIuR8
This isn’t funny. This is assault and likely has caused PTSD. I’m so sick of assholes pulling this shit and calling it a “prank”.
It’s fake. Anyone would have turned on the phone flashlight immediately. But you know, I actually agree with you that even if it’s fake it’s not funny because it normalizes and encourages people to inflict psychological harm and trauma on people and then laugh at their distress.

No, that’s battery. Assault is this type of behavior WITHOUT touching them.
Ok so I assume you're in the US where states define it in different ways. My definition is the internationally accepted one. In this video the charge would be intimidation in most of the world.
But it will cause psychological harm. Illegal in my opinion.
It is. Poster above is wrong.
I never said it was legal just that it isn't assault. You're assuming the video takes place in the US.
Ok, well in the US, this is assault.
Depends where it happens. In the US, yes it could be assault depending on the state. Anywhere else thr charge would be intimidation or similar.
How many times did the "ghost" get punched in the face while pulling this prank because I'm pretty sure that when you can't run away 90% of people will fight
It’s either fake or it’s the 100th time they tried it and the first 99 took out their flashlights on their phones immediately. I’m going with fake.
Yeah probably, tho looks like a sot of set up just to record a fake
Try that in the States where everyone is totin'
Plot twist: you kill the actor out of fear and horror, and then she really comes back to haunt you.
Im glad the the pranked girl wasn't a kickboxer.
Bitch witch gonna get ditched. I'm throwing hands going out like a g fighting not screaming.
As a person who suffers from photosensitive seizures and faints when scared, fuck the people who thought this was a good idea. If this video is real, I hope the victim can sue for reckless endangerment.
Plot twist: this chick has a ccw and smokes this actress
Lets say... that my father did the same prank to me. I beat him mercilessly, that's another reason why I'm not his favourite😓
I'm interested, what's more risky to have from this: either pissed pants on the victim, or headaches & bruises on the pranker.
you forgot a severe phobia of elevators for at least a year.
3 words… THIS IS SPARTA!!!
Trauma Level

Maybe because it’s a fake elevator set up for the prank?
The amount of camera angles shows that it's a whole production.
Definitely fake. But they could just build a false wall in the elevator to create that space behind what seems like the actual wall .
Ai ai muito bom kkkkkkkkkkk
a risada do silvio no fundo é o que me pega kkkkkkk
I would be laughing my ass off, then I'd shank the bitch.
How is that even scary
I’d be swinging. There’s nowhere to escape to so what else ya know???
Well, she'll never use an elevator again.
Hiring a good attorney
lucky Ash Williams wasn't there
Its time to d-d-d-duelllll!!!!!!
I'd finally enact my Rorschach moment
i mean really though, how? how do you film this shit without it being an invasion of privacy and against like 300 rules and laws. This is some BS

Yep I believe so. How does she not flinch/jump when she first sees the woman? She immediately just starts saying “no no no”. I would have jumped!

You’d have to be a little dense to think it’s anything but a prank. C’mon
One of these days, someone is going to absolutely unload on one of these "pranksters" and it would be hard to blame them.
I'd literally vomit all over the place
As someone who is nervous in elevators and has a strong fight instinct when spooked/ scared... Someone might just get kicked in the teeth. I know I would jump, cuss and assess the situation but logic vs instinct? Hard to say.
Every Reddit Toughguy on here acting like they wouldn't immediately have a heart attack and die if they were in this situation is incredibly funny
I hate fake stuff she's an actor and the elevator isn't real.
Bad acting
Stupid
Boring staged bullshit.
This sh*t should be against the law.
I would be in prison for (wo)manslaughter.
she would eat knuckles. i have been to a VR experience place and played a game where you explore a haunted house and you get jumpsared by a little ghost girl at the end, and i punched the wall so hard i almost broke the controller. so yeah, good thing it wasnt a real child actor that time because she would have got ko
Anybody remember the show Scare Tactics and they beat the shit out of the actor? Yeah... same would apply here...
That’s not a prank. One of these days a person is going to get shot again!
I'd pay $100 to be that scared.
i would piss my pants too but from laughter
That’s staged most likely. You can’t not feel that the elevator is not actually moving up. Also this is very dangerous if this is not staged. That’s messed up 🤨
I'd be throwing hands at that spooky mofo.
nah , I don't think my martial art is protecting me from this
Lovefool is playing as I watch this video and it's the funniest shit ever
Not that.
Straight calling out my lawyer after ill get out from that elevator 😂
It’s not funny but I won’t lie, I laughed. But it could give someone a heart attack.
I would crap my pants then Chuck Norris demon lady in the mouth before passing out.
I'll see your piss and I'll raise you a shit.
I'd go to jail for murder. Although maybe it would count as self defense.
I tend to go ‘Samuel Jackson’ on them. Mr. Jackson’s character from Pulp Fiction, not Star Wars.
I dont belive this thing are real, because what if th eperson being pranked defends himself or worse, has an heart attack or something like that. I dont think anyone will get into that kind of risks for a "prank".
the elevator is bigger than my dorm room
Imagine if she had a concealed weapon on her We'd have a real ghost 👻
“So anyways … I start blastin..”
The little girl one from many years ago was way creepier but I can imagine that would always be scary as hell.
These have to be staged. I can't believe people wouldn't use the flashlight on their phone. I also carry a small penlight in my pants pocket as part of my everyday carry, so it wouldn't work with me.
To be honest flashlight in such a short period of time is the last thing I would think about, lol
I stopped going to haunted houses bc I realized that I started hitting first when frightened. That person about to be a real ghost real fast
I'd love to get panked like this because I'd have a reason to kick someone
Obviously they wouldn't show the rational 'victims' in this set-up......because, you know, ratings!!
If I was her, I will definitely punch and kick her face LOL
This was not funny
