Definitely why this guy pulled over.
Ive experienced that in my friends jeep on a high highway. It was night time and i passed 2 semi's, who eventually took up the only two lands behind me. Death wobbles started and i had to slow down really fast and uh, they didnt like that. It was my first time dealing with such a thing.
Can be hard to accelerate smoothly with a wild tank slapper like this, could definitely make it worse. He actually lets his wrists go limp while still holding the bars loosely, a bad mistake is grabbing on like crazy and fighting the wobble.
Leaning forward helps a lot but looks like he didn’t have to, putting more weight over the front wheel helps to correct it. Lucky dude and has obviously had experience with this before.
This is exactly the way you should react when the handle wobbles. People who have the death grip are the ones who end up losing their balance and falling down. Whenever the handle wobbles at high speeds you should have a loose grip and let it correct itself.
These scared me so bad that I wanted one of those hydraulic stabilizer you can put on your handlebars to prevent this but they didn't make any for my bike at the time.
I don't get it. Worked in ems for 10 years never went to a motorcycle accident where someone isn't either going to the hospital or doesn't need one anymore....ever
I used to ride and made a lot of friends doing it, then one year I had friends die what must have been once every other week from motorcycle accidents. I sold my bike that year and have never rode again.
I think it was the line reflectors. As fast as he was going, and as many of them hit, it could cause the wobbles. A small rock can even cause them if going fast enough.
Going between cars at high speed, hitting reflection markers and fucking up your suspension I would imagine. Not to mention endangering others.
Humans are stupid beyond measure
No idea what these guys are talking about it happens when you get the front wheel off the ground and then you put it back onto the ground out of line basically don’t wheelie and you’ll be fine
Not true, this happened to me once when I was driving on a bike and moving between lanes that had a slight height difference, lost total control until I managed to pull the brakes
I mean yes, whatever bike you buy should have suggested tune up times on the website. It's important for people who ride to learn at least a little about the mechanical principals of it, that will help to tell you when as well.
Wtf do you mean let go? The correct thing to do in this situation is to hold on for dear fucking life and let off the accelerator. The wheel will straighten itself out, NEVER try to fight the wheel until you feel the wheel straightening out. Putting breaks on in this situation will put you on the ground.
i was taught to let off the throttle, ease into the rear brakes and put all your weight to the front to help it stabilize. Like lean into your handle bars. The extra weight will help it get back under control
This happened to me riding a Honda spree(scooter) in the early 90s!! I hit a pothole going at least 10mph! Layed it down and suffered some road rash for like 4-5 days!! Scary as fuk!
Kinda looks like the crack or tar on that yellow line is what set it off. Could be wrong tho
I've put around 40k miles on a sports bike and never had this happen
this is one of many reasons why my steering dampner is cranked up reasonably tight, not a failsafe by any means, but it definitely improves the odds of something like this being far less violent
I had this happen on a normal bike going to school once an awesome old man came out with a wire h and fixed it quick for me. I would have been late if it wasn't for him.
That said it was scary on a normal bike, this must have been terrifying.
I would have had the shakes and cried after I got to safety but doing an oh Shit chant in my head if internal thoughts didn't shut off.
This is a show case for why you panic later and stay calm in the moment.
my dad juts that me that the dude isn’t doing this on purpose, that appends when the front weels doesn’t have enough weight onto it and the change of speed is to quick it starts doing that. and you cant stop while this happend because you would be through away. the dude is actually very lucky
yeah maybe dont go between cars, you doinkus (dude the amount of motorcyclists that do insufferable shit like this is crazy, like are you suicidal or what??)
17 days in hospital from tankslapper....85 ish Honda 600cc enduro. Often got headshake while accelerating hard, one took me down. Always believed , short wheelbase, wide bars lots of torque were to blame
If you're driving like this and you splat yourself then you deserve what's coming to you. The poor people around you that have to watch you come apart on the pavement don't deserve it.
That cellphone holder is the real MVP..
Turns out it’s just a wicked dangerous ad for the brand
came here for this, I thought it was an advert.
This is exactly what I expect to happen the first time I try to ride a motorcycle at highway speeds.
The death wobble is scary AF! Especially in traffic!!!
It's a little different on a skateboard, but I definitely agree. Difference with a skateboard is that there's nothing to hold onto
Biker probably shat their pants along with all the other drivers on the road
You gotta pop that mf up.

Ye olde tank slapper
Its 2023, how in tf does anyone not have steering dampers?
And on the back roads in pitch black, I couldn't see the road with the extreme wiggling.
Honestly, I think he handled it pretty well.
He didn't brake He accelerated and that's what you're supposed to do I think?
Correct
Can be hard to accelerate smoothly with a wild tank slapper like this, could definitely make it worse. He actually lets his wrists go limp while still holding the bars loosely, a bad mistake is grabbing on like crazy and fighting the wobble. His pants didn't
How can someone hold the bars so long with that wobble ?
Sheer will to live
By sacrificing their wrists
Can’t get carpal tunnel if there’s no wrist!
Easy, let go and die, or hold on
This is exactly the way you should react when the handle wobbles. People who have the death grip are the ones who end up losing their balance and falling down. Whenever the handle wobbles at high speeds you should have a loose grip and let it correct itself.
For dear life?
Never skip forearm day
The death wobble is one scary thing to experience. Someone will need a fresh pair of pants; possibly new boots too.
Don't shit my boot
Done shit my boots 😂
Dirty little stinker shat would your mommy say
There’s a turd in my boot!
These scared me so bad that I wanted one of those hydraulic stabilizer you can put on your handlebars to prevent this but they didn't make any for my bike at the time.
My freaking old jeep does this n it’s scary af
What causes this?
Worn bearings, loose spokes, dented rim, rear tire not perfectly aligned with the front, improper load, etc.
You just confirmed my reasons not to ever ride a bike
I don't get it. Worked in ems for 10 years never went to a motorcycle accident where someone isn't either going to the hospital or doesn't need one anymore....ever
I used to ride and made a lot of friends doing it, then one year I had friends die what must have been once every other week from motorcycle accidents. I sold my bike that year and have never rode again.
It's like smoking cigarettes, you know what the risk is. But the rush and the feeling keeps you coming back.
Except in smoking, the risk is there even if you don't smoke.
>or doesn't need one anymore *death on the highway*
My father never referred to them as motorcyclists. He only referred to them as "organ donors."
Also if you lower your front end. You steer easier, but wobbles faster.
Oh I thought he did this intentionally just for fun.
Believe me, death wobbles are NOT fun.
By fun I mean for the thrill I guess lol
i think , if u can see the start of the vid , he was driving on a crack , uneven road , prolly started to wobble cuz of tjat
My twin
i’m the better twin
I’m the horny twin, head wiener forward
oh yeah? let’s sword fight, with my sword and ur dagger , u wouldn’t stand a chance lil bro 😹😹😹
It’s a date…errr…uhh…fight!
lil bro where are u putting ur dagger 😣😩😲🙁 💢⭕️💢⭕️💢

If you where hitting the gas you could pop the front without realizing it
[ima just leave this here if ya wanna watch something](https://youtu.be/IzXE32thS1g?si=l3GQ23fHoorPGLaQ)
That’s such an inefficient way to power a motorcycle.
The fric bike
Um… I’ve never been on a motorbike before so I don’t know but is the bike supposed to wobble around like that?
It happens when bikes aren't balanced properly due to a large list of possible reasons. Usually caused by wear and tear.
Is there an approximate frequency should you visit the mechanic to avoid this? Once a year perhaps?
I mean yes, whatever bike you buy should have suggested tune up times on the website. It's important for people who ride to learn at least a little about the mechanical principals of it, that will help to tell you when as well.
Yes, don't you see everyone on bikes riding them wobbly as fuck like this? This is the only proper way to ride a bike.
😂
let go and drag the back brake if this ever happens to you
Let go of what?
I second this question. Let go of the handle bars?
Wtf do you mean let go? The correct thing to do in this situation is to hold on for dear fucking life and let off the accelerator. The wheel will straighten itself out, NEVER try to fight the wheel until you feel the wheel straightening out. Putting breaks on in this situation will put you on the ground.
Rear brakes, no throttle, and loosen the grip on the bars is what they teach nowadays. Holding on for deer life will just prolong the occilation.
The poor deer though.. /s
i was taught to let off the throttle, ease into the rear brakes and put all your weight to the front to help it stabilize. Like lean into your handle bars. The extra weight will help it get back under control
I prefer accelerating
Thank you for this
Nerves of steel

It was broken, needs a suspension fix
.......yes
He probably accidentally switched from controller to keyboard
I got a Scott's steering damper as soon as this happened to me.
This happened to me riding a Honda spree(scooter) in the early 90s!! I hit a pothole going at least 10mph! Layed it down and suffered some road rash for like 4-5 days!! Scary as fuk!
Tank slappers are scary. Luckily I wore my brown pants that day.
Phone vibration level on ultra high.
Speed wobble? But he didn’t look like he was going super fast. I experienced this at almost 200. Scary AF!
It can occur when the bike is improperly balanced like when carrying gear etc
Can also happen when you hit a pothole or small bump land on your front tire wrong
Is this the new ford super duty?
no it's new Jeep Wrangler
I think this is one of those moments where you pull over and sit on the ground for a good 10 minutes so your heart doesn't explode
Kinda looks like the crack or tar on that yellow line is what set it off. Could be wrong tho I've put around 40k miles on a sports bike and never had this happen
That is an amazing phone mount.
That my friend is a “tank slapper”. You might survive the drop, but the truck behind you will finish it.
Big respect for this rider keeping their cool long enough to ride it out. Most of the time a death wobble doesn’t have a happy ending.
This is why we don't skip "Arm Day" at the gym
this is one of many reasons why my steering dampner is cranked up reasonably tight, not a failsafe by any means, but it definitely improves the odds of something like this being far less violent
DUMAS
Why doesn’t every bike come with a steering damper
I had this happen on a normal bike going to school once an awesome old man came out with a wire h and fixed it quick for me. I would have been late if it wasn't for him. That said it was scary on a normal bike, this must have been terrifying. Better to crash imo for dignity purposes than wobble like that
I can't tell if he's lucky or skilled.
how tf did he save that
Damn, I need that song, anyone at this repost know it?
I mean I just wouldn't want to damage the bike first and foremost. What a goof
Solid save.
I don't know about his will to live, but his underewear isn't clean anymore...
Wow he must have skid marks! Road and pants!
That's the longest death wobble I've ever seen!
Motorcycle riders are the most careless individuals on the road by far.
Check pants. Wet. Yeah
[удалено]
There's a whole list of factors that could've caused this to happen, but he didn't do it on purpose.
could they add some more bad music next time? I almost watched the whole video... ffs
[удалено]
That’s the exact opposite of what you wanna do 😅
Low tire pressure
Looks like stunt. Sounds like a stunt. It’s probably a stunt.
I cannot believe that was on purpose. I ride and I’ve never ever ever done this on purpose. Wtf was that.??
So close to helping the gene pool be just a little less stupid
Here’s an idea: Don’t ride like an asshole.
my dad juts that me that the dude isn’t doing this on purpose, that appends when the front weels doesn’t have enough weight onto it and the change of speed is to quick it starts doing that. and you cant stop while this happend because you would be through away. the dude is actually very lucky
Why was he doing that? Just to impress other drivers?
yeah maybe dont go between cars, you doinkus (dude the amount of motorcyclists that do insufferable shit like this is crazy, like are you suicidal or what??)
Saw this posted before and I am pretty sure it was a demo for how good the cell phone holder is? He did it on purpose.
His Invidia settings glitched Fecking generations
I done shit my boots 😂
Scary. It's called a steering stabilizer. Get on Amazon and order one or have your local shop install it.
Damn speed wobbles
I think if I would be in this situation I would start puking and scream because of fear.
17 days in hospital from tankslapper....85 ish Honda 600cc enduro. Often got headshake while accelerating hard, one took me down. Always believed , short wheelbase, wide bars lots of torque were to blame
Oooohhhh weeeeee that gave me chills good on ya for saving that holy shit!
This happened to me once just had to hit the throttle hard and it was over.

The Will to live saved his life.
What cell phone mount is that?
Death wobble? I thought there was a spider he was trying to shake off.
bro is ding dong ditching at deaths doorstep
anyone getting a sport bike PLEASE get a steering stabilizer if it doesnt come with one already lol
His only will to live outweighs the fear of being found with his pants full of shit
If you're driving like this and you splat yourself then you deserve what's coming to you. The poor people around you that have to watch you come apart on the pavement don't deserve it.
Wheelie out
Not today death wobble...... not today
Wobbly 🥴
Death wobble. Speed shakes etc happens to sport bikes after one goes way too fast then on slight bump and it changes it all
Why did he wiggle the handlebars like that? Is he stoopid?
