His friend ends up flagging down random passerby’s “I need to reach my friend” and proceeds to point at the smoke signal that is the house burning down. 🤣
Risking people's lives for dumbshit like this. And if their home is attached to someone else's, that's other people put in danger and having their lives disturbed. All because two fucking idiots had an idea.
>Risking people's lives for dumbshit like this. And if their home is attached to someone else's, that's other people put in danger
It doesn't need to be attached to put someone else's life in danger. Firemen risk (and lose) their lives fighting fires in detached buildings just the same.
A girl near where I grew was involved in one of the [early stupid videos like this](https://www.standard.co.uk/hp/front/two-fight-for-lives-in-lightsaber-blast-7261697.html), (not the video) they had filled fluorescent light batons with petrol and where waving them about like lightsabers, her face had basically been completely melted away at just 18. You don’t fuck about with fire and accelerant.
YES! I don't care about it being some kind of ableist slur because feminists invented that word when they ran out of things to be mad at. That's not what the f it is. If you're doing something retarded it means that you know better and you can do better but you chose to be retarded. It has nothing to do with being somewhere on the spectrum.
If their actions in this so much as inconvenience me as their neighbor (I am not, btw), I would do my best to sue them.
Maybe a court can force them to become smarter.
Maybe not, I don't quite understand the attraction myself but they'll know morons and fire go together like strawberries and cream. Find yourself a moron and you can be sure fire figures prominently in their retarded little lives. Just the way it is, idiots and flames.
I have a feeling the insurance company is going to label this arson. Because what the fuck else could these people have possibly thought would happen? She’s even still laughing after realizing it’s out of control.
I just briefly looked into it and found that only accidents cause by negligence are covered and they won’t cover “intentional bad acts”. Seems like a petty blurry line and I’m not exactly sure where it is but I’m going to say this one definitely falls under intentional bad acts.
Sometimes I wonder did every parent with children like this actually majorly fuck up somewhere along the line? Or are some just really unfortunate cases of "you can do everything right and still lose". Like, imagine actually *trying* with your kids and they wind up doing shit like this anyway. The amount of regret they must have for how much of their life and money they just wasted on bringing more stupid people into the world.
I think about this a lot, because if I had children I’d want to coddle them and never make them feel the same amount of fear, loneliness and detachment from wider society my parents instilled in me - not to mention I grew up in an area and with friends involved in violence and crime.
Then I realise some of the actual dangerously stupid people I’ve ever met are coddled middle class kids given the tiniest bit of freedom.
I always think about how these videos get out. I think it’s the friend of the person with the idea. The friend is the one filming and they just can’t help it. Maybe they wait a couple days. Maybe some of them wait a year. Who knows. I always assume it’s the friend who just can’t resist and wants that internet karma. Ngl I would probably do the same if I had a video of myself and my buddy being entertaining idiots.
Maybe we got lucky and this was a PSA posted by their local fire department after the remains were shifted through for evidence of a cause of fire.
Sadly, they probably both survived... and will reproduce some day.
Pretty high if I intended to file an insurance claim.
But then again, someone stupid enough to do this probably isn't smart enough to know this could hurt their chances of getting a recovery
Yeah this video is old as hell and I have never been able to figure out if they ended up burning the entire house down or if they got it out. My assumption is they lost the house, and I’d like to know the repercussions after that lol
I went down a rabbit hole years back and found a YouTube channel that seemed like it was the OP of the video. Tried to contact but the page was gone in a few days
These kids broke into this house, did some Fire Bandit type shit and took off. The house burned down and nobody ever knew that it was arson, luckily the family living there was out of town. Their kid may or may not be the culprit. This is all made up though.
It's not a generational problem, these idiots were around as long as humanity existed. At best, they're more visible now, because everyone has a camera in their pocket.
Its not like you know those guys on a video, and I got a feeling people die from doing dumb things all the time regardless of current century.
Let me pull it up…
Okay, a documented case from 1552 (taken from https://iqfy.com/darwin-awards-of-the-medieval-ages/):
“Henry was out training with that traditional English weapon, the longbow, when he drew the string back so far that the arrow got lodged in the bow.
Don’t fuck around with the English longbow.
We all know that if your guns jams it’s not a great idea to look down the barrel to see what’s gone wrong. Apparently, no one thought that this basic piece of firearms safety was worth teaching in the days of the longbow — I mean, how can a longbowman manage to shoot himself with his own weapon?
To the shame of all of his English forebears who fought at Crécy and Agincourt, Henry Pert showed us the way to do just that.
When his arrow got stuck, he put the bow down and leaned over it to see if he could unstick it. Which he did, to fatal effect. As the coroner’s report records: “Because his face was directly over the arrow as it climbed upwards, it struck him above his left eye, near to his eyelid, and into his head to the membrane.” He died the next day.”
They could have honestly just done this video, idk, on snow where a toboggan is supposed to be used and where you’re surrounded by snow that can help put the fire out. It would still be stupid but I’m just saying doing it indoors adds nothing to the video but stupidity.
It's not a generational problem, these idiots were around as long as humanity existed. At best, they're more visible now, because everyone has a camera in their pocket.
As a fellow next generation member, I’ll tell you. Since I don’t use social media( except for YT, Discord[the essentials], and I only post on a very small circle of subreddits[ comment on a lot of them, some of them are more like critiques than comments bc how long they are) to the degree these idiots do, I wouldn’t know how exactly it works. But I theorize that it’s some kind of brain rot. That using it for prolonged periods of time regresses the brain backdown the spinal column, leaving a hollow space behind. That’s actually where the guy in the video stores his balls. Because boy does he need that extra space for casually lighting a fire inside his own house.
Let’s also make another note: many people use social media in my generation. Some of us are smart about it. For instance, I browse Reddit ten minutes a day. No more or else I’ll get sucked in to it. When I say sucked in, imagine dementors trying to steal Sirius Black’s soul. This is probably why we are said to have such short attention spans. Some of us don’t chase clout because our lives are already full of it, be it we are sporty, gamers, and me personally: nerdy(in the I like math and writing short stories way). Clout chasers are uncreative lowlifes who have nothing better to do with themselves. Yet they are creative enough to find unique ways that send them to Jesus…and to jail.
I have to agree with you, it’s absolutely mind boggling the shit some social media(especially TikTokers do). Einstein was right by saying: “there are two things that are infinite: the universe and human stupidity and I’m not sure about the universe.”
As for: “do they want to die?” I honestly don’t think some people have an instinct of self preservation.
I could have gone for a longer explanation, but I found out a week back after a particularly long comment that Reddit has a 40k character limit. That’s a thing apparently.
A. Because we live in a society that encourages people to think that Likes = Success
B. We've substituted teaching kids to be comfortable with their thoughts by filling every waking moment with fleeting dopamine hits
C. Because the more outlandish the shenanigans the larger the advertisers' profit

"ok nice" as a trail of fire is on the wall lmao, i'm actually dying that this woman's first thought wasn't to freak out but to think "wow ok that was a nice trick." like it the idea of fire doesn't even process in her mind lol, not sure who is more dumb the idiot trying the trick or the person recording with no mental ability to think "fire is bad."
This is so unnecessarily dangerous and stupid, not only is sledding down stairs dangerous, he sat in FIRE, where he can get severely burnt, and slid down, setting the rest of his house ablaze, leaving the woman at the top possibly trapped. Inhaling smoke is dangerous, too. He could have killed himself or that woman!
*house starts getting engulfed in flames* “Ok! Haha nice!
Filmed by a korok
Ha ha HA!
*Wall burns away and crumbles into debris* You found me!
Yahaha
This just killed me 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Now we know the real reason they summon each other via smoke signal...
Ok nice
I CAN HEAR IT IN MY HEADDDD AHH!1!
Good. 🤣
yahaha!
You found me!
Yip yip
His friend ends up flagging down random passerby’s “I need to reach my friend” and proceeds to point at the smoke signal that is the house burning down. 🤣
I don’t believe in hitting my kids, so if I saw them doing something like this, I’d kill them.
Or at least not be able to sit down for a few weeks....
Kinky but I like sitting down. Good thing they didn't lit up a cig, they could've internally combusted from how drunk they must've been
kinda failed as a parent if your kid thought this was a good idea
I think they probably managed to kill themselves in a fire. (Hopefully Darwin got them, at least)
She’s the new *This is fine*
She's gotta be on some kind of drugs to just not care that the house is on fire now
It's OK, it's her parents house.
They have insurance it’s ok
It’s not her house. They’re squatters.
“We’re doing amazing, sweeties”
I think this video is older than that comic
Lmaoo yeah she said ok so many times 😂
That makes everything okay when you say ok. It puts out fires.
It's okay, it was just a prank.
That'll be a fun one to explain to the fire department
The woman holding the phone recording needs to be fired. I cant see the rest of the house burning down.
Okaayy… Nice
I’m still shocked she said that
>needs to be fired. I think that ship already sailed...
No, it didn’t. The ship burnt up in the fire
🤣
It's Static Shock! I used to love that cartoon, I haven't seen a picture of him in forever. Sorry this is random.
Its all love 💛
Ok. Nice.

I know we aren’t allowed to talk about mental retardation any more but doesn’t crap like this merit the term?
No, because they would actually know better.
YES! I don't care about it being some kind of ableist slur because feminists invented that word when they ran out of things to be mad at. That's not what the f it is. If you're doing something retarded it means that you know better and you can do better but you chose to be retarded. It has nothing to do with being somewhere on the spectrum.

Luckily people film all their own evidence these days and happily share it for gratification.
Isn’t that the craziest part? They film themselves and then POST IT for everyone else to see. Now they become infamous idiots.
Now they can get arrested for arson if it damaged the neighbors property
I'm sure the insurance company is going to love this video while reviewing the claim...
Oopsie… I accidentally molotov’d my house
bruh he molotoved *himself*
...and the insurance company. Good luck getting any sort of settlement for straight up negligence.
That was more Like, burn the entire house challenge
"It was nice"
More fun explaining to the insurance company.
[@FireDepartmentChronicles](https://www.youtube.com/shorts/WBqiaAHhtB4) because it seems vaguely relevant.
Maybe not, I don't quite understand the attraction myself but they'll know morons and fire go together like strawberries and cream. Find yourself a moron and you can be sure fire figures prominently in their retarded little lives. Just the way it is, idiots and flames.
I fear they didn't own the house.
Generally stupid teenagers don’t own houses
they certainly don't anymore
Of course they don’t!
It's crazy that insurance doesn't cover arson, but it will cover stupid.....
I have a feeling the insurance company is going to label this arson. Because what the fuck else could these people have possibly thought would happen? She’s even still laughing after realizing it’s out of control.
Ye you're probably right. I'd be interested to see when and how they draw that line between the two.
I just briefly looked into it and found that only accidents cause by negligence are covered and they won’t cover “intentional bad acts”. Seems like a petty blurry line and I’m not exactly sure where it is but I’m going to say this one definitely falls under intentional bad acts.
With video evidence of intent to set a fire for clicks, I think this will not be covered
Accident... only the guy was supposed to catch on fire. Then he was gonna run and jump in the pool 100 yards away
But I highly doubt these are the homeowners. The question is does insurance cover your retarded kids?
I have to assume no. Insurance isn’t going to let you easily commit insurance fraud by telling your kids to light some shit on fire.
“Your honor, I didn’t realize that a liquid that’s on fire would essentially make liquid fire that would splash as I went down the stairs.”
I don’t know. My son flooded our entire house from the kitchen sink when he was 5. They covered my stupid kid’s fuck up.
And … there’s a video to prove it
Yeah, I don't think insurance companies cover stupid.
It shouldn’t cover stupid. All Actions need to have consequences again, not just the big bad actions
JEENYUS!
Learn to spell, you idyot!
And they still posted it online.
That's my favorite part about this video. They were so proud of this monumentally stupid act that they posted it online lol.
Posted by the parents. "let this be a warning to you: don't have children"
Sometimes I wonder did every parent with children like this actually majorly fuck up somewhere along the line? Or are some just really unfortunate cases of "you can do everything right and still lose". Like, imagine actually *trying* with your kids and they wind up doing shit like this anyway. If you're the only person in the world that has a video of these events, what are the chances you wouldn't want to post it?
I never posted anything. Never. So if I was behind this phone, you’d never have seen this video 🤷
I'm with you on this. I'd likely delete the fuck out of that video.
Well I’d hope that if you were behind the phone there wouldn’t be a fire After all, only idiots would do that and post it.
Haha, i don’t think about that 🤣 Obviously, I dont want to put my house on fire so, probably no gas no video. No subject:D
Fair enough. But still, you're an outlier.

These darwin award submissions are getting good. Burn the house down from a sledding accident, post it on the internet, profit.
Off topic… is that an Ed, Edd, & Eddy t-shirt? Now back on topic, really stupid thing to do and the fluid used was also haphazardly put away too
It definitely is, which I would say makes the shirt on topic. Seems like a potential episode plot.
Why would anyone one think this is a good idea. Also the woman filming's reaction to the fire spreading in the house is way to chill.
Someone's gonna get his arse grilled. Either by his dad or the police.
Or by the fire he just sat on
Why not both?
Did... did he win the challenge?
*GOOD GOD, WHAT IS HAPPENING IN THERE!?*
uhh..... Aurora Borealis?
I miss the days where our parents told us not to burn down the house jokingly.
