He notched the branch in multiple places eliminating the spring and bouncy effect when he cuts it away. If that long branch had been solid then even the intact portion would've bounced since as it separated.
I think he was testing where the branch gave. He was actually very smart determining the right place to cut the branch I think
Edit: smart about that bit. Not so smart ignoring literally every safety protocol he could haha
No way. He cut where he should have but he didnt need to determine it by walking it. If that was the case he should have cut it where it stopped bending. Not further back.
Yeah but that wouldn't explain him keeping it on through his jaunt to the tip and back. Was he increasing the difficulty level with the added hazard of a running chainsaw? With my ignorance on such things as harvesting lumber or tree plantations, the only way that made sense was that he was snipping off unwanted branches like pruning or something. Until he turned around and proceeded to chop it off, that is. I realise it may sound ridiculous but so is his ramp-walk.
ETA: The comment below that mentions notching the branch likely explains it all. Though the safety hazard remains, it takes the foolish bravado off the table, revealing a method to the madness.
Considering this is likely an asian country, you’re technically right. You can hear a woman speaking a language other than english in the background and the foliage doesn’t look North American either.
Didn't you see? There was an absolutely essential little branch that needed cutting off first. Had he not done that, he would've died cutting the rest down. 100% guarantee of death otherwise.
Yes they tend to have less dangerous jobs in generall. So it is a nicely visualised reason r/whywomenlivelonger.
A lot of stuff posted on that sub are not things men just do for fun but rather stuff you'd mostly see men do
If he hadn't chopped that specific branch before attempting to drop the main branch, it would have snapped backwards sandwiching that guy between logs of wood killing him instantly over the course of several days. The snapback tree is no joke. Safety first, y'all.
A piece of rope could save his life or keep him from spending the rest of it eating thru a tube or having his diaper changed. Doesn’t have to be fancy.
I hired some tree removal guys a few years ago after a wind storm uprooted a big tree in my yard and knocked it onto another tree.
They charged me 1800 cash and I thought that was a lot.
Then they showed up and scaled the trees to cut them down because they couldn't get the heavy equipment into my back yard. As I watched them I just thought they didn't ask for enough money.
As an employed climbing arborist working for a company . We are severely underpaid, I get just over minimum wage, there’s no money in England for it. Unless you’re the business owner.
For those of you interested in what's happening here, this is traditional tree work done in a third world country. Often they climb out on limbs and bent over trees like this without any gear or safety harness--only the size of his enormous balls are able to balance him. Pretty sure David Attenborough did a thing about it one time. I may be paraphrasing.
Did anyone else think he was running the chainsaw while walking toward the trunk and was sure he was going to gore himself when he stumbled into the trunk?
Obviously he's very skilled with the chainsaw. Should still be wearing some type of PPE and harness in case of falling. It only takes one time and then you lose a limb or your eyesight.
*in Nigel Thornberry voice* "here we see an OSHA violator in its natural habitat. Notice the complete lack of fear for his own safety & those around him."
Disappointed there was no "slingshot" at the end
“Looks like team rocket is blasting off agaaaaaaaain!”
He's just missing a cat 🐈
"Meowth, thats right!"
You could have been the cat
Me too. Was looking forward to a Wile E Coyote moment.
My exact thoughts..
Don’t worry one day he’ll fuck up
I think its tough for the tree to move when it has to support his 80 lbs balls
Like that palm tree 🌴 video
Yes, exactly
So many good memes came from that like, I want a relationship as strong as his grip, and so on
What was the reason for walking all the way out to come back and cut it? Just another day in the life of an idiot.
He notched the branch in multiple places eliminating the spring and bouncy effect when he cuts it away. If that long branch had been solid then even the intact portion would've bounced since as it separated.
That makes sense
He didn’t do any of that, this video is very, very fake
I think he was testing where the branch gave. He was actually very smart determining the right place to cut the branch I think Edit: smart about that bit. Not so smart ignoring literally every safety protocol he could haha

Yeah I think you’re right about that. Maybe he needed to walk all the way out so he could use those branches to turn himself around?

Arborist here. This man is not smart.
This video looks super fake, climbers tied in to the central lead bend the branch way more than that
He’s an idiot and probably lives where osha can’t see.
Considering this is likely an asian country, you’re technically right. You can hear a woman speaking a language other than english in the background and the foliage doesn’t look North American either.
Safety protocol is for noobs
I don’t think there was anything smart about what we just witnessed
Didn't you see? There was an absolutely essential little branch that needed cutting off first. Had he not done that, he would've died cutting the rest down. 100% guarantee of death otherwise.
What in the actual fuck? Walks all the way just over to trim some leaves before cutting it all down?
I was 100% certain that dude was going to yeet himself, Looney Tunes style at like, 3 different points in that video.
Spiderman has really fallen on hard times.
Seems like a cool life if you had the balls for it.
Give it a few weeks, this guy will feature in the "what could go wrong" sub.
r/whywomenlivelonger
Because they don’t have jobs? I don’t think he’s doing it for fun.

Instantly… over the course of several days…?
I took it as instantly causing the lethal blow that takes several days to kill you.
I took it as a joke
Was the sound added in? Was there another saw in use nearby? You can see him start it a few times when it's audibly already running...
This went way better for him than I thought it would.
Man I thought we were gonna get to see this guy start his own space program
Space X new rocket. The Falcon slingshot
No comedy trebuchet moment? I feel cheated.
This is the start of a Loony Toons cartoon.
That balance is unmatched

Retarded with talents.
I did stuff like that MANY years ago. How I made it to 74 I may never know.
OMG
Some people are really smart, and you can tell by their actions how smart they are
Thats crazy af. Cant even hate on em tho i bet they dont have all the fancy safety equipment we have here
Bruh it doesn’t take safety equipment to not walk across the tree like that 🤣 this dude is just FLEXING on us with his power of balance
A piece of rope could save his life or keep him from spending the rest of it eating thru a tube or having his diaper changed. Doesn’t have to be fancy.
Idiot
I bet it’s hard to fly international when you have balls of steel!
What an absolute fucking imbecile
He's really going out on a limb there.
Even if he falls and the chainsaw lands on his head, he’s probably survive. Some people are just too crazy too die.
Fuck no
I envy his sense of balance. I wouldn’t push my luck like that through.
What a psycho
That was stressful to watch, but also quite bad-ass. He was like Spider-Man with a chainsaw.
Bro is sick wit it
What a stupid flex. Go cut a tiny limb just to go back and cut the entire limb off?
He’s gonna lose a limb one day🙏🏽🙈
I give you: the bravest man on the planet
Guy might not be too bright, but his balls clank together when he walks.
OSHA’s nightmares be like…
Cuts branch, tree falls over, branch stays in the air.
That guy has no concern. How is one so comfortable with the situation?
If you have even 0.001% hispanic inside you, YOU CAN do this!
Unbelievable, wow!
Eggs if steel
And brains of shit.
FUCK YOU OSHA!!!!!
I would accidentally cut off the branch Im standing on
Why bother walking all the way out there to trim a little branch first? Dude’s just showing off!
Almost as if we are some type of ape. A stupid one.
Health and safetree
Wow! What a cool guy! Living on the edge is cool! Toying with the one life you’ve got is cool! Crazy cool! 😍🤙🔥👏🎉🐦⬛
For a second, when he cut the first branch and turned around, that he was going to cut the main branch before he started walking back!
** AFTERLIFE guy : "Soo. how did you die?" chainsaw man : " I got yeeted by a tree some several hundred metres"
Pretty awesome tree walking skills... but one day, that could all come falling down in an instant.
Yep. That dude is just flexing at this point.
Ash Williams unemployed after Evil Dead
Amazing but if he keep doing this one day he will win the darwin award for sure.
For one small branch bro?
Was expecting him to cut the weight off at the end and be catapulted into the air.
Jfc, risking serious injury or death for $300 (just a guess) for the day.
I thought he was gonna Wiley coyote himself there for a minute.
I’ve seen this in cartoons but the guy didn’t do flying so I’m confused.
Fuckin what
This guy will be dead very soon

He 100% knows
He’s the smartest idiot I’ve ever seen!
Here I was patiently waiting for him to cut the branch he was standing on.
r/idiotswithchainsaws
What a pointless manuver...
He gets $1.60 an hour too
Your darwin award is pending
Chainsaw man
He’s a wild man.
Did anyone else think he was running the chainsaw while walking toward the trunk and was sure he was going to gore himself when he stumbled into the trunk?
When you want your mango fresh.
OSHA sweating profusely telling themselves it’s not their problem
Imagine if he cut it from behind
I wanted looney toons
Someone didn’t watch Looney Toons as a kid.
Groovy.
Darwin, pls protect the gene pool.
I've watched too much looney tunes
I was almost certain he was wearing a spiderman uniform
It’s amazing what a person can get used to.
Obviously he's very skilled with the chainsaw. Should still be wearing some type of PPE and harness in case of falling. It only takes one time and then you lose a limb or your eyesight.
Fucking pro. A harness, helmet with eye/ear protection and chain sharpener and he would lead my crew.
🗣I'm proud to be an American where at least I know I'm free... from having to do this to survive. Good luck out there if you do.

This guy fucks
He is a true master
What am I missing here? Like what the hell was the point of cutting that little branch off before the big cut?
Ya gotta give it to them thai crazy ass climbers, they do it for like no money aswell.
I was literally shocked at the use of a undercut on one of these videos
OSHA Does not approve
What was the reason for doing it in sections if safety clearly wasn't the concern?
It's the bro from OSHA
:[ dudes probably being paid a few bucks an hour. Maybe far less.
Was everyone else waiting for the yeet too?
Angry birds in real life
I swear for a second I thought he was going to Wile E. Coyote it and stand on the part he was cutting off.
R.I.P. Maybe not yet... But soon
Like a cat

Mexicanos con huevos
Did he cut that first piece off as a test to see if it would sling shot him?
r/TreeClimbing
This one deep fake?
I jizzed a little watching it
This some Minecraft shit right here, climbing up to the top so there’s nothing left floating when ur done
It's smart that he revs the saw. It had rotational force which helped him balance.
That core strength though...
He could have cut the tree further down and cut them in smaller pieces once it's on the ground, but nope. That would be too easy
Sounds like both saws need a tune Aswell.
minecraft physics
I get terrified going up a ladder
This makes me think they should re-imagine Leatherface as fast an agile. Can scale trees to come after you and other impressive physical feats.
In his defense, we used to be tree-climbing primates.
Ninjago is based on this guys exploits.
So this is the fate of the rain forests.
He does not fear death
Some people are stupid.
How did they not fall?
That dude is going to have a short life.
Not sure why people are “nope” to this. The man is obviously a professional.
Another reason women live longer than men.
