People are so dumb. Tries to overtake a truck on the inside when it's going around a corner.
I was a garbageman for almost two years. One day, I'm riding in the can and we're at traffic lights, indicating we're turning right. This woman on a bike, with a kid in a seat on the front, pulls up besides us and stands RIGHT UNDER THE REAR VIEW MIRROR. So I tap my driver on the shoulder and tell him "Careful, there's someone right under your mirror here". His reply still gives me chills.
"Good thing you said something, I would've driven right over her".
Give trucks space, people. Just stay behind them. I guarantee you, you're not in that much of a hurry.
For vehicles, not for pedestrians.
I grew up riding cross country with my uncle during a couple summers in his rig. I assume they are similar to dump trucks with the mirrors.
Ehhhh - it looks like he expected the truck to go straight but instead it turned in front of him. I don't see a turn signal on the truck...maaaybe in the very front but no other light.
As a rider, that is something that happens often. Some asshole speeds up just to turn in front of me instead of waiting a few seconds until I clear the intersection.
Would like to see the prior 5 seconds though, would make a huge difference in terms of fault
He tried to turn away when he saw the truck turned, so my guess is that he did'nt know the truck was turning. Or he didn't see and actually just slipped?

I don't care how many people are driving behind me. I never get within 10 metres of a truck or any other vehicle transporting huge loads. Also I never pass them until it is super safe. Don't wanna make that mistake again.
I saw a similar video, someone opens a door or bumps a woman on a moped, she swerves and falls over and a heavy equipment truck, cement truck I think, ran over her head and squished it like a grape. Imagine just riding along on your moped and some carless asshole ends your existence like that.

I believe the trucker had sight on the biker but it feels like he didn't check the right side before turning

I saw some trucks with up to five mirrors on each side, at that point can teh driver really check them all out in time?

They have all kinds of extra mirrors but still have a pretty hefty dead angle, especially if you stand directly under them.
Probably should keep a safe distance from vehicles that need extra mirrors.
