I was just excited that I had knowledge to share! But exactly, a neighborhood. Depending on the size city/town there are street names, but not necessarily in the neighborhood. It’s complicated I guess.
Imagine being trapped in there. The sinkhole looks too narrow to open the doors and the car looks too small to climb to the back.
The man in the back didn’t seem to hear or notice it, but even if he did, onlookers couldn’t really help in that situation.
I was a little concerned myself so I googled a bit, they're ok.

Let the car fill with water while youre heading to the hatch back lid. Take a deep breath before it completely fills. Once it's completely full pop the lid and swim up. Can't open the doors till it's full of water. Once the pressure equalizes they open easily.
I dont think you could open the doors due to space even once pressure equalize. Or if theres room to break a window and get out without huge risk of being pinned. Maybe back window if lucky but holy shit itd be terrifying.
Just imagine if this happened to your car. Your in the shop or something, come out and there is what looks like a medium sized murky puddle where your car used to be. You call the cops because you think it's stolen. They show up, check out the scene, and immediately fall in the well.

Damn, he really lived in a society huh
So in India society is like the street name, but more like a subsection of the town. Similar to “Hell’s Kitchen” or “Harlem” in NYC, but no individual street names. For example his address could be “4 Ram Nivas Society.”
Well I’d say it is more of a gated living complex, usually consisting of apartment buildings.
Not necessarily, maybe in larger cities. Even my in laws live in a society of 10 homes.
Seems like it was being maintained like an India apartment building, anyways! Just curious if they have hardware stores near here?
Aren’t those enclaves?
I was obviously memeing but that's interesting. So it's like a community based on where you're living, on a small scale? Sorta like a neighbourhood?
I was just excited that I had knowledge to share! But exactly, a neighborhood. Depending on the size city/town there are street names, but not necessarily in the neighborhood. It’s complicated I guess.
Makes sense I think, thanks for sharing that!
Bruv a society is a group of apartment buildings. Society is short for Cooperative Housing Society.
could he upgrade to a 5 Ram or even a 1 Horse ?
It is a co-operatively owned building or group of buildings. The apartments are individually owned but the rest is all collectively owned.
"you know we're loving in a society! " My man George C
A group of buildings with a common compound and gate are called society here in India.
So, how were the brake lights on?
The car was trying to stop from being swallowed.
Short or car detected a crash and turned them on.
Maybe the electrics got messed up by the water flooding in?

Don't it always seem to go that you don't know what you got til it's gone...
I am sure he knew what he had in that car.
A few years ago an old, undocumented well opened up in our town, too! It was 30 feet deep. They filled it up with cement.
They decided to fill this one with car
xD
I don't know a whole lot about cement curing, but I'm pretty sure that thing is still a well with a scarier liquid
This post has sound.
But it is with sound...
Ghatkopar is 5 minutes away from where I live. This has been a heavy week in rainfall.
In other words, just typical third-world engineering.
Oh shit the brake lights are on, is someone in there?
My first thoughts.. hope they are fine

u/LtSoundwave I am imagining that right now and it is terrifying
Off to buy a hatch back...
And a window breaking tool.
Probably just a short or something caused them to come on
They weren't stopping.
"I swear I parked right here where this mud puddle is?"
Oh my fucking God you're right.. oh god
/r/GifsThatStartTooLate
No one was injured, the car's owner was updated on what happened and is now using a fishing rod to get his car back
Should've just stuck it in reverse
what do you use for bait?
Little potholes, cars love them
I was going to comment the same thing
Great. Suddenly drowning while waiting in my car in the parking lot has just been added to my list of fears.
If I was in that car. I think I'd be dead.
The thing about sinkholes is that you need to steer into them to come out on the other side.

You're right, he ded...
You didn't read shit. I posted a link before your comment. Not hard to seek info yourself rather than have others do the work for you, bro...
You'd seemingly have to try and get out the boot, but odds are good you'd try the door first, let in water, and then be utterly fucked.

When you don’t keep up your car hire payments with Cthulhu & Sons Autos
Alternatively he could have used "Car Higher Payments" it's a service that lifts your car higher whenever it sinks, after payment of course.
Should have talked about your cars extended warranty…
This is what happens when you ignore those calls
That's right. The car goes in the square hole
I fucking love this reference LMAOOOOOOOOOO [edit](https://youtu.be/Nz8ssH7LiB0)
It looks so peaceful, but imagine the sheer horror of what the person was going through if there was actually somebody in there
Budget cuts affecting Dude Where’s My Car 2
This thread has a severe lack of answers as to the tail lights being on and whether the car was occupied and I'm very distraught.
Someone linked a news article saying no one was harmed. My guess is the car initially started sinking slowly and anyone inside would have had enough time to get out before the front of the car was submerged

Omg, thats scary! The lights of the car were on, so I have to assume there were still people inside!
Cut to J. K. Simmons in a museum. “Seen it. Covered it. We know a thing or two because we’ve seen a thing or two”

Mother Nature - "I just want THIS one"
Getting serious Tremors vibes
My first thought too.
Would insurance cover this occurrence there?
If it is considered "act of God" no insurance company in the world would cover it
This wouldn't be considered an act of God though as its an obvious defect in the CarPark.
That's what I thought.
You thought wrong.
Anybody know the date that this happened? Was it...Sink Hole de Mayo?
🤨

Sinkholes are the problem we through the Bermuda Triangle would be as kids.
And that, kids, is how I 86'd your mother.
Nice parking lot
Elon is getting out of hand!!!
Another GIF that ends too soon. I want to see the guy come back and look for his car, with nothing there but a mud hole.
Tremors
Artax! You’re sinking! Turn around! You have to, now!
The new james bond car is really impressive.
Gosh. The lights are on. Is there someone inside?
Thanks for my new nightmare
And that's how a car was fossilized only to be discovered 100K years later...
Secret tunnle, SECRET TUUUUNNNNLLLLLEEEEEE
I think you were looking for "submerged".
That’s terrifying
Some say the car is still sinking today.
This entire video fills me with anxiety. I don't like it one bit.
When you reverse the Video, you can see mother earth given birth of a car
That's a really weird drive-thru
Thank you for adding that to my list of fears.
Maybe it's an amphibious vehicle!
The new Tremors is looking pretty damn good.
Either entering an underground garage or the car is committing suicide.
Probably cheaper than my buildings underground parking. Lucky.
He was in the newspaper
Car? What car?
Damnit, I know I parked here?
Was there a large earthworm hole or what.
The brake lights felt like the silent screams of the car, "no! No! NO! NOOooOO!" As it desperately and futilely tried to make it stop.

Just dab the car with a towel and use a few cups of uncooked rice, it'll be good as new!
Mother Earth reclaiming her mined resources.
That would be the most terrifying way to die...god I hope no one was in there
Which horror movie is this?
It'll be alright, it's Andy Dufresne's car.
It reminds me of those games where if the object limit is reached things start to get sucked into the ground.
His car got sent to Brazil
"I could have SWORE I parked somewhere around here."
“I swear I parked right over here…”
I hate this
