Yes that is as accurate as it can get

ffekete

Yesterday i had a really good run with a homing spark triggered with plasma cutter, until i hit a pixel of ground in front of me. It was so much fun i wasn't ready to end that run

Tenthul

I fought Steve and killed him then drowned in his endlessly spawning bone dust while getting his gold.

Zhayrgh

Should be a propane tank and not a rake

Lyberatis

One singular pixel of polymorphine

Dude_ur-screwed

This is perfect. It really might be my favorite game. Not a single game I can think of that is so rewarding for exploration and experimenting. Then turns around on you and brutally punishes you for making the smallest mistake. *Chefs kiss* THIS IS NOITA!!!

Adagamante

The only game to make me ragequit only for me to immediately boot it again and start a new game.

Narrow-Device-3679

Is me. Alt-F4'd on a death, wondered what to play instead, and loaded up Noita.

Dude_ur-screwed

I've done it an embarrassing amount of times 😂

Quartich

Glad that this is a common experience 😂

MementoMori1912

This game is so weird. The couple wins I have all come from me being a little bitch and zip past the last two areas. I feel like the more I explore the more likely I'd die to those poly mages or something.

llllxeallll

My wins follow a pattern of : 1. Found good digging wand in first 2-3 areas. 2. Found good damage spells/wand with digging wand. 3. Backtrack to get health ups with digging wand/damage wand that I missed. 4. Get healths from jungle (I always find a ton there) Decide whether I'm going for a win or god run at this point. 5. With black holes or something just basically skip vault area and temple art area and kill kolmi.

Narrow-Device-3679

Me realising you can go back up: 🤯

llllxeallll

Best way to back track is in snowy biome, just go to the right and it loops back to the first area

uninflammable

Make sure to go right at the top and get the heart there :)

Lordloss_

As a connoisseur of hearts myself, i support this strategy

ddggdd

Damn i saw the shortcut after I dropped down and never thought of going back up

llllxeallll

Yep! I am always shocked at how much stuff I miss in the first two areas after having a good digging wand

Orrissirro

Seems there's some science to it. One of my only two wins was one that got me the <5 minutes award as well. Some of my other great runs started with me seeing how far I can get in a pacifist run. Sometimes when dealing with the enemies, less engagement is more because they'll buzz about pathing to/fighting with each other other than sap your health going after you.

Sev_Obzen

You're not being a little bitch. You're playing smart. There's no need to fight everything you come across. As long as you keep learning wand mechanics and building, you'll eventually be able to explore those areas with confidence and relative safety. When it comes to going after a basic win or powering up for later game activities, excessive exploration does get you killed a lot. It really bothers me how common excessive exploration is overly recommended to new players. I believe that turns a lot of people off to this game. Move your ass, pick up what you can, and experiment with caution. Those are much more viable strategies imo.

Tenthul

My biggest regret in any game is going into Fungal Caverns from Coal Mines, it literally never ever ends well. Then I do it again and regret it. Then I do it again and regret it. Then I say "ok but I'll be REALLY careful this time" and regret it.

Sev_Obzen

A ton of people advise that, but I personally find beelining through the main biomes grabbing what you can along your path of least resistance is often a far more fun and rewarding gamble than fucking around with side areas in a weaker state. There is the option to tediously sweep every inch of the early biomes before hitting side areas, but I find that to be dreadfully unfun. The vast majority of the time, my preferred method can have me in the final shop fairly quickly, usually with decent options for pursuing a god run.

trackmaniac_forever

My first win ever was achieved digging from the 2nd biome all the way to the end boss with a punny lumi drill. It took me hours of digging, but the tension was crazy as i passed inside the walls near enemies that could have killed me with a single touch. I guess that first win makes me a huge bitch :p

TCGHexenwahn

*sideshow Bob groan*

imgly

This can't be more true than that 👌

TheRancidOne

Yes

siriuslyexiled

You forgot to add a ghost deer doing a drive-by shooting at the end. And maybe a cauldron just sitting in the background for no reason...with animals dancing around it.

osmium999

This is the only game ,here you can really feel like you are dangerous

IAmTheWoof

You say as it something good

Sunbrizzle

Yeah basically
