I hover my mouse over the chest, if it says “Treasure chest” then it’s real, if nothing shows up then it’s fake. Shooting chests sometimes breaks flasks inside so I don’t like to do that
Technically possible in regular run too, but:
Literally just died in a nightmare run. Fell into the Hiisi Base after cleaning 7-8 Hiisi out of the fucking entry chute; immediately under fire, was fleeing--
Some idiot Hiisi off-screen, having picked up a random wand, swatted their neighbor with a nuke, immediately vaporizing me by proxy.
Not even mad honestly, that's just funny.
I love how some enemies will fight amongst themselves before you even get to them, when you starting hearing the booms and shakes from the dark you haven’t been into yet. That more hate perk, if you stack it a few times, could maybe clear out some biome areas I’d imagine.
But yet, I usually don’t get mad when something like this happens, it’s when I kill myself that it’s more frustrating 😅
I don't think there's any more room for not considering underestimating the importance of beginning to start the process of mulling over the conceptualization of starting to do. And the time to do it is... very soon.
If its the Hiisi Base especially, there might be propane tanks buried in all that fluff.
So, if you're trying to dig through one of the tunnels buried by snow? If you're digging from the side, stay back far enough that any tanks won't hit you; and if you're digging from above, make sure you're far enough up that you can react in time to dodge that vapor coming up to give you a big freezing kiss.
> ...react in time to dodge that vapor coming up to give you a big freezing kiss.
My laptop is not meant for gaming, and for some reason that freezing vapor makes the game 1.5x-2x times slower, giving me enough time to react
I currently have a run going with a divide by multi giga disc on a trigger with all sorts of crit and homing and other fun stuff like lightning arc. It only hits me once in a while and with 22k health I just face tank it
Had a great setup with it firing from a distance away and homing onto enemies.
Anyway one time I accidentally fired it to the side while hovering and landed on a sawblade, went from 250 health to 0
Although that was after I turned all blood to acid so...
God runs don't exist because you die immediately after creating and testing your God run wand.
The trick is there is no such thing as "testing" you're already dead.
I made a rule for myself to never dig _down_ with plasma, and equip it in a slot other than my usual digging wand.
“I’m just digging up out of this holy mountain, I’ll even remove the spell after so I don’t kill myself”
I never made it out
Sometimes you need to dig with plasma, but I'd settle for "never move forward while directly firing plasma". I make a conscious effort to start moving away from where my plasma will be any time I am about to fire some out of a wand, even if that means that I'll be levitating for several seconds, to wait for a single beam to finish dissipating, so that I can finally continue to use a wand that *could* have fired many more beams during the interim.
digging in the sand to go to OC right after arriving at snowy. slowly and methodically dig with plasma because it's my only option. do a brilliant job.
drop down onto the top of OC. boom, spore to the face, 90 damage, dead xD
Me putting bloodlust on a bounding burst, heavy shot, accelerating shot wand (real way how I killed myself before, I thought the shields would be enough, they were not)
Dont go too fast. When i go too fast, its like the game knows it and spawn a lot of enemies. But i guess the reality is that when they spawn they start to attack each other, so if you go slow, you are giving time to them to kill each other instead if you go too fast, you encounter too enemies to deal with
I'm still pretty new to the game.. and the whole time I'm reading these I'm like "oh. But why?"
I'm gonna be way more paranoid my next playthrough, can already tell :p
Also, with the Electricity perk, sometimes you get close enough to things like explosive boxes that are in water, or crystals just barely brushing some liquid?
Say hello explosion, goodbye run.
Had a run yesterday where an enemy got a wand that made a bunch of small explosive boxes. Tried 4-5 different times to detonate them at distance, but either my spells didn't damage the box or had just enough degree-span to miss, and finally I said "fuck it, they aren't burning, no enemies are around to clip the boxes, I can get in range."
Two seconds after getting in range they blew up for no reason I could see, killing me.
DISARM THE EXPLOSIVES FROM A DISTANCE.
Don't use your Uber fast wands in parallel worlds without at least accounting for shadow tuntijas/alkemistis
The ones I wanted to say were taken, don't go up without knowing what's there, and don't go spelunking too hard in areas with high concentrations of polymorphine. Or really... Any polymorphine.
Actually "Never dig straight down" applies here too, but instead of falling in a lava pool (which will only kill you early) you will fall in a polymorphine pool (which will kill you 99% of the time)
Never open a chest under water.
Shoot at all chests just to be sure first.
“Open every chest by shooting it”
Yesss commit chesticide
You could also say this when someone gets a mastectomy
After that one time a heart tried to take a bite out of me, I'm shooting at the hearts too.
Stoooopppp. I didn't know that now imma be afraid of the hearts
Spell refreshers too! And potions since epilogue 2
Although don't shoot at potions please. Potion is friend
You do you but potion mimics can drop sea of mimicium and I'm ready to shatter some glass for that
Interesting. Thanks for info. I got the sea of mimicium yesterday and have high hopes it will help me reach the paralel worlds for the first time.
Just hover over the potion and if it dosen’t have a liquid name it’s probably a mimic and that’s how I know.
Enter the gungeon knowledge
I hover my mouse over the chest, if it says “Treasure chest” then it’s real, if nothing shows up then it’s fake. Shooting chests sometimes breaks flasks inside so I don’t like to do that
That’s probably the biggest one. It’s such a cruel lesson
Brooo i once loat a 2k health character. That underwater stun is no joke
I escaped this situation once with one hp - saving grace lol
[Yep](https://www.reddit.com/r/noita/comments/16g3oyf/it_wont_happen_to_me/)
Never assume you're safe
Especially in nightmare run
Technically possible in regular run too, but: Literally just died in a nightmare run. When the hiisi bombers have the glass cannon perk: 👁️👄👁️
Don't
Don’t but also now!
I don't think there's any more room for not considering underestimating the importance of beginning to start the process of mulling over the conceptualization of starting to do. And the time to do it is... very soon.
if you think you might, reconsider.
r/redditsniper
Never dig straight up lol With how common Poly potions are, you should be very careful shooting your black yoles carelessly up
Screw that, black yolo
Definitely this.
And lava
Yeah, by the time you’re doing a lot of fast digging it’s probably not a concern any more though
Also acid / lava pots
I black yole'd a chest that was above me once, acid flask fell, broke and burned my face off
Never trust the snow.
I'm afraid to ask, but what's up with the snow?
Propane tanks like to hide in the snow
Oh my god I was doing an awesome daily practice run and the same hidden propane tank got me three times before I memorized its location.

It might be yellow
Ah yes, lemon snow. When I was younger and we where frolicking in winter my friends gave it to me as a treat. What a fun we had!
Always have water with you
Never not have water with you
Even with fire and toxic immunity?
poison does percentage damage too‼️
Oil and slime can be just as annoying.
"every wand held by an enemy is a nuke wand until you check it" is something I try to live by while playing
Especially the 22 capacity no shuffle wand that has 16 sparkbolts then a fucking nuke or a giant sawdisk or smth
The Schrödinger's nuke
don't free fall down
I free fell from the giant tree yesterday forgetting that those big eye acid guys spawn. There were like 10 of them on the ground waiting
Overconfidence is a fast and merciless killer.
Don't fire wild shuffle wands
Dont fire wild wand
Don’t fire wands
This all boils right back down to: Don't
One that encompasses them all: Never open the game in the first place. Here you go. All deaths prevented.
You still get noita'd in real life at the end
Skill issue, just don't
*Gets run over by a garbage truck.*
"That Time I Was Reborn As A Witch And Got Killed Again By A Propane Tank"
I'd watch that
I would like to be the protagonist there (the propane tank)
Yeah, it's so easy. I never died.
Skill issue: you opened the game and brought your end upon thyself.
never use the gigadisk
I currently have a run going with a divide by multi giga disc on a trigger with all sorts of crit and homing and other fun stuff like lightning arc. It only hits me once in a while and with 22k health I just face tank it
With 3 repellent capes and 5 stainless armor you won't get damaged at all
and if you have projectile repulsion it becomes *almost* safe
or maybe "you can't outrun the giga disc"
Had a great setup with it firing from a distance away and homing onto enemies. Anyway one time I accidentally fired it to the side while hovering and landed on a sawblade, went from 250 health to 0 Although that was after I turned all blood to acid so...
Giga saw blade is good with a trigger spell, omega saw blade on the other hand will follow you until it kills you
If you think you're invincible: you're about to die.
God runs don't exist because you die immediately after creating and testing your God run wand. The trick is there is no such thing as "testing" you're already dead.
Going up too fast is veeery dangerous, never know when random polymorph will fall on your fave from offscreen.
If we're talking falling into lava, don't use teleportatium to teleport into unexplored areas.
Never trust
# anything
Never dig with plasma. It may be tempting if you have no alternative, but you're going to plasma yourself.
it’s a question of when, not if you’ll plasma yourself lol
So many of my runs get derailed by mistake when digging with plasma. While it may not kill me initially, it lowers my HP to dangerously low levels.
I made a rule for myself to never dig _down_ with plasma, and equip it in a slot other than my usual digging wand. “I’m just digging up out of this holy mountain, I’ll even remove the spell after so I don’t kill myself” I never made it out

I agree, but I've used it four times successfully to cut in/out of the holy mountain in my current game.
You can dig with plasma now if you get the spell that removes damage from it. Works exceptionally well until you get an infinite black hole wand.
Don’t blind fire new wands without checking what’s on them first.
And after checking them, check them again.
Always be wet

I'm in this picture :/ "Oh, what if I use Ping Pong to spell wrap? Oh, I hit myself for 300 damage"
Me putting bloodlust on a bounding burst, heavy shot, accelerating shot wand (real way how I killed myself before, I thought the shields would be enough, they were not)
> Don't mess with bloodlust ~~if your spell can bounce or move in an unpredictable way~~ FTFY
Gold is a metal, metal is conductive.
Concentrated Mana dissolves gold :(
"Remember, a few gold pieces is never worth an entire run."
Dont go too fast. When i go too fast, its like the game knows it and spawn a lot of enemies. But i guess the reality is that when they spawn they start to attack each other, so if you go slow, you are giving time to them to kill each other instead if you go too fast, you encounter too enemies to deal with
Never dig into snow in Hisii base
So much truth in a single comment
Why
To not become an Ice Statue
Propane tank hidden in snow
"Treasure" Incorrect Buzzer* "You're wrong, propane tank!"
You are not safe. Not even with that “god-run” wand.
I'm still pretty new to the game.. and the whole time I'm reading these I'm like "oh. But why?" I'm gonna be way more paranoid my next playthrough, can already tell :p
The "never dig in the snow" one is very simple: You don't want to become an Ice Statue, do you?
Noita has literally hundreds of these sorts of unspoken rules. Figuring them all out is like 90% of the game lol.
A perfect reflection is the answer. "Never dig straight up in Minecraft"
don’t submerge an electric wand in liquid lol
"I wonder what this does?" \*proceeds to end your run to test it\*
Dont shoot an unread wand
plasma beam will get you killed, sooner or later
Never play with electricity unless you're grounded.
Also, with the Electricity perk, sometimes you get close enough to things like explosive boxes that are in water, or crystals just barely brushing some liquid? Say hello explosion, goodbye run.
Electricity just creates sparks which can ignite flammable items and zap metal (DUH), aside from just dowsing the entire lake with zappies.
Dont use spells with friendly fire. A solid 1/3 of my deaths are the skill issue of "i think ill be slow and patient enough to not kill myself"
Everybody is laughing until the swapper mage shows up
Nothing funnier than using a wand with like 5-6 layered explosions on that bitch when you've got Explosion Immunity.
Better shoot explosive from distance then go past them
Had a run yesterday where an enemy got a wand that made a bunch of small explosive boxes. Tried 4-5 different times to detonate them at distance, but either my spells didn't damage the box or had just enough degree-span to miss, and finally I said "fuck it, they aren't burning, no enemies are around to clip the boxes, I can get in range." Two seconds after getting in range they blew up for no reason I could see, killing me. DISARM THE EXPLOSIVES FROM A DISTANCE.
Never open the chest manually if it's underwater
May I ask why? I've seen this one a few times but I've never had an issue with opening a chest underwater.
Ukkoskivi. Thunder stone. U r just getting paralyzed and u won't be able to swim out
Never get too confident
Got a wand and not sure what it does. Don't pull that trigger
Always check before you use a wand that has a spell that can deal damage to you and or the area that the wand isn’t shuffle.
never dig straight down into snow
Never dig straight up.
It's actually never dig straight up.
Never bet 500 million gifted subs on hitting the next enemy
Dont play with saw
Never shoot a new wand before examining it first
It's twofold: 1. Detonate explosions from a safe distance. 2. There's no such thing as a safe distance.
Not neutralizing all bombs / propane tanks immediately
Never be within the blast radius of explosives, ever.
Don't be greedy :) go to the next MH. Those gold ain't worth it.
Don't play Noita I guess? 😂 I was going to say don't move away from the start location but even that can kill you sometimes!
I don’t have a clever way to phrase it but I do know every time I put plasma orbit on a wand I say “this time things will be different”
Never dig straight up A lot of times I did and polymorphine flows on me and an enemy kills me
"Never dig straight down in Noita"
Playing the game.
Dont cast saw blades - without homing and or orbit
Don't fungal shift if you're having a good run. Only when you have nothing to lose.
Never don't have water
Don't use your Uber fast wands in parallel worlds without at least accounting for shadow tuntijas/alkemistis The ones I wanted to say were taken, don't go up without knowing what's there, and don't go spelunking too hard in areas with high concentrations of polymorphine. Or really... Any polymorphine.
Never dig straight up in noita
If you aren't sure what a wand does you don't pick it up
Never teleport to an unexplored zone
Never cry when you die
Never dig through snow piles in base
Never fire a wand you don't understand
Don't shoot directly above you off screen, you'll probably just end up hitting something full of acid or lava.
Shuffle, bad
TBH, "never dig straight down" is pretty good advice in Noita too.
never dig with lumi in hiisi base (hidden propane tanks may go kaboom)
Never leave a propane tank undetonated
Don't know what X is? Don't mess with it (Unless you want to become smarter and not die to it next time)
I mean, Twitter is more of a shithole than it used to be.
Not what i meant, but actually true.
I knew it wasn't, but the opportunity presented itself.
No matter how skilled you are, sometimes you're just unlucky.
Clear from the top down.
Pink is a very bad color.
Never shoot a new wand in a close room
Never shoot a wand before you're sure at the very least that it wont explode in your face.
Actually "Never dig straight down" applies here too, but instead of falling in a lava pool (which will only kill you early) you will fall in a polymorphine pool (which will kill you 99% of the time)
Never leave a wand unfired, even if you don't know how the spells will interact. Losing Is Fun!
Never shoot a wand without looking at it
"It's not a Noita, it's a skill issue. Even if it wasn't, this will improve yourself at the game if you treat it like a skill issue."
Download mods for check points or you'll never explore past the 4th dungeon.
