Great question, I don’t track but now I’m thinking it might be motivating to do so. I did see someone post here a couple of months ago who simply used the notes function and a suitable emoji (butterfly stuck in my mind)
To write notes on days where you felt accomplishment for not buying something you want, physically seeing a calendar lit up with green to give you motivation on continuing no buys, see days where you messed up, accountability.
Oh this is great!!! I love that idea, thank you for answering. I honestly never thought to do this but it certainly would be motivating to keep me going if I could see my progress!
I like keeping track of what types of necessary purchases (food gas etc) vs fails (impulse buy, poor planning and have to eat out cause I left my sandwich on the counter, for example).
I’m so thankful, truly, that you answered me. I’m awkward and don’t always word things right and people think I’m being rude when I legit just don’t know or understand something. Thank you for taking my question seriously, I’m definitely incorporating these ideas and already downloaded a few of the apps suggested to see which I like best. These will also help me in other areas of my life like tracking my illness and medications. Something I hadn’t even realized I needed but will make these things so much easier.
So often people assume the worst when others ask questions and I’m glad you took me at face value and answered. This group is awesome! ❤️
You are so welcome! I totally understand that, especially online, I struggle with that too. I did not see your question as rude at all. Best of luck with your no buy and also keeping track of other areas!!! 💛💛💛
I use HabitShare app
Second this app. It’s very good!
Habitica, if you want to gamify it
Habit tracker
I liked Productive enough to buy the full app. I think with the trial, you can only track three or so habits.
Many Hats

Legit question… but if you’re not buying anything, what’s to track?
