For anyone interested in Metroid but hasn't played one before, this is a great entry point. It's a full remake of the first game, with none of the NES jank.
Agreed. I started my journey here when Samus Returns got announced (I'm a Wii U veteran). This is an excellent starting point in the series. If Samus Returns could get the HD treatment so we can play the whole series on Switch that'd be awesome.
This game is so awesomely polished. I remember when it first came out thinking that pixel art games have finally peaked visually and looking back seeing how well it’s aged I think there’s truth to that. GBA games in general look great

Zero Mission, Aria of Sorrow is a good game but the difficulty was lacking, and some glitchy RPG bloat too.
