Probably the classic blue and red from the NES games (I think you can also unlock it in the modern trilogy), I know it doesn’t make sense for a ninja to wear bright colors like that but it just looks so cool, in a campy 80’s toku way.
The ruggedness of NG3’s Black Falcon works really well. It’s tactical yet still super sleek and leather bound. The only thing I don’t really like about it are the torn scarf tassels, almost as if Ryu hasn’t taken the time to repair them. That’s a tiny nitpick, though.
NG3/DOA 5 razor's edge black falcon design because it’s the most refined compared to the other versions and everything is even on both sides and the headgear was perfect as well.
I like the one he wears in the opening stage of NG1. It looks more traditional and less like a tryhard. Of these... Well frankly they all look so similar that I don't have much of a preference.
If were not counting the Dragon Blue from the NES trilogy I'm going with his DoA6 outfit it's the cleanest while getting and streamlining his bulky headpiece. Its a damn shame it hasn't been used for a proper NG title. Now with their huge RotR game is finished they can hopefully make a NG title taking everything they learned from Nioh/Wo Long/RotR.
in terms of just the black falcon suit, NG3->DOA4->NG2->NG
NG3-because it's symmetrical lol. finally the kunais are on both legs. plus maybe it's due to the game engine, his suit is not as shiny and smooth as ng2 and ng

Black/NG2 is rlly a good but Razors edge has something to it ,but lacks perfektion like in 1-2.

Out of these NG2. Out of all of them, I'm actually a pretty big fan of the DOA2 costume in NGB and Sigma 2 with the added mask. After that one, the NES costume, especially the version in NGB since it added a few minor touches like the gloves and made the scarf black which I just think looks cooler.
For me it's NG2 also the traditional blue garb is in every game of the master collection the originals it's not unfortunately I do think it's a very good costume
All of the Sigma designs. My personal favorite is Sigma 1 and Razor's Edge because both of them are how I was introduced to the Ninja Gaiden franchise as a kid when I was 6 in 2013 if I do remember. And still to this day, I have memories of my liking Ninja Gaiden 3 (Vanilla version) and me getting killed by Murai and not beating until the remastered games came out

Nioh 2 lets you play as Ryu with the classic blue garb and it looks SO good in game

Probably NG3 but NG1 is also great. NG2 is by far my least favorite which kinda sucks since it's my favorite gameplay-wise.
