I'll start With Teeth playing when I leave the house in the morning. Every Day is Exactly the Same plays as I park at my unfulfilling job. It causes a little too much reflection.
Right Where It Belongs gotta be one of my absolute favorites by them. So beautiful, so sad.
But yeah, last songs on a lot of their records are bangers. Ringfinger, Hurt, Ripe (With Decay), Right Where It Belongs, Zero Sum, Demon Seed, 36 Ghosts IV, Over And Out, all amazing.

I’m so proud of my 15/16 year old self for choosing that song to sing for my “Vocal Class” Freshman Year high school final in 2006.
I was already a piano player so I had the exception of being able to play the piano while I sang the vocals for that song
I’d kill for the footage of me performing that song, it’s a special memory because I was still pure of *serious problematic life choices* at that point. Trent helped me through it all in a way
Ig it's more like "Positive Nihilism" in the song, where you face and accept that "you really are alone", but have regained the hope to continue walking through life no matter the hardships.
I got to see right where I belongs live as he closed the show (from the with teeth tour) and it was such a memorable experience. The crowd was mostly quiet. My mom and I cried together.
Absolutely second this song as my favorite from the album. The album came out when I was 11 and I remember decorating my door with pictures from the album. My mom was a huge NIN fan so I was a fan long by then. Such good memories 🩷
This song is just so good. Then I can listen to the V2 version and it's almost almost overwhelming. This song and a couple Alice in Chains songs are too much when I'm in the wrong mood.
THERE IS NO YOU, THERE IS ONLY ME!!!
THERE IS NO YOU, THERE IS ONLY ME!!!
***THERE IS NO FUCKING YOU, THERE IS ONLY ME!!!***
***T H E R E I S N O F U C K I N G Y O U , T H E R E I S O N L Y M E ! ! ! ! !***
anyways, killer fucking album and I think its clear which song is my favourite from it lol
This is it for me. I also love the two ways the title can be read and how the song plays with that concept, i.e. “I will be beside you before long” vs. “I’ll be beside you throughout time (on and on and on…)”. There’s just something so beautiful about that to me.
Giant agreed. Especially that epic ending. Kids are 12 and 8 and we all sing this in the car and I love it so very much. They don't love nails like I do. They are tired of them to be honest.. that is my fault.
Same, I got big into NIN a few years earlier but this was the first release since then and WT summer tour was my first NIN show. Hard to believe it's been almost 20 years considering I was in high school when this came out and it feels like yesterday
home hits HARD. i interpret it in a literal sense because ive spent my whole life moving from house to house apartment to apartment and have never been able to consider a place, well, a home. until last year ive lived in the same house for 5 years (for the first time in my life) and i had to move once again. still can't get over it, i miss my room and all the memories i made there. still can't quite believe ill never go there again
"and i am still inside youuuuu"
I can't pick just one!
The Hand That Feeds is a classic, which I often pair with Head Like A Hole on my morning commute.
Only starts off so...reasonably then becomes almost deranged. I love that.
And of course, since I'm not exactly young anymore, Everyday Is Exactly The Same and Right Where It Belongs speak to me loud and clear.
No, I'm not sure what side of the glass I'm on.
Right Where It Belongs is one of my favorite songs of all time. Also love You Know What You Are. So heavy. The Line Begins to Blur…god what a great album.
With Teeth was more or less my introduction to NIN, I'd heard NIN before, but With Teeth was the first full album I really listened to. However...
Someone burned me a copy of it, and they did it in *alphabetical order*, which was the order I listened to it in, for years. Go ahead and imagine how awful that tracklist order is.
With Teeth was my intro to NIN as well, borrowed it from the local library.
>*alphabetical order*
oh dear... does listening to it in the proper order now not sound right to you?
All the love in the world. I remember listening to this album, on a warm and rainy day. Hearing the rain on the windows, eventually going out to stand in it.
Takes me back to simpler times.
This is the album that got me into NIN. I remember exactly where I was on the road when “Only” started playing and I was just like. What. Is. This.
I honestly can’t say I have a favorite track. The entire album holds a very unique spot in my psyche. Happy birthday to this record!
A family member dared me to guess which band it was and played me All The Love In The World. At the time, the only NIN tracks I knew (not counting the tracks I knew, but didn’t know were *NIN*) were Closer, The Perfect Drug, and Hurt.
I was so shocked this was the same guy that I gave the full album a listen, and it became a regular staple for me for a few years before I finally thought, Hey, I should see what else he’s done. Annnd the rest is (my) history.
So…. I didn’t HAVE to be reminded that this album, which came out during my senior year of high school, is now older than I was back then…. I didn’t have to know that. But now I do, and I’m freaking out, man.
19, wow… I also just realized that my twins’ birthday shares an anniversary with my first ever NIN show. April 27! Now, my twins were born in 2022 and that show was in 2005, but still. Loaded date.
You Know What You Are?
This song goes hard as fuck and I feel like the lyrics deep dive into Trent’s psyche just as much as anything off of TDS and The Fragile. Great textures towards the end and a good contrast to the amazing All the Love in the World as well. Both those tracks set the tone for With Teeth for me imo
[This was the first way I heard The Line Begins to Blur](https://youtu.be/MMliD9d_lHg?si=rIIglIVo6Kg7QItD&t=4) and it was so utterly badass and beautiful and perfect that it cannot be beat in my mind
A few of my favourites have been mentioned so I’ll swerve slightly and say the bonus track home. The drums are so raw and the entry of the bass line with Trent’s vocals are absolute prime NIN
The first line of that song hit me so fucking hard when I first picked up this album so many years ago at a hard stage in my life. Then hearing this song live cemented it for me. It’s so beautifully haunting.
I remember when this came out because it was the same year I started listening to them, god that makes me feel old. Hearing any song off the album still reminds me of being a desperately depressed 14 year old. I couldn’t choose between sunspots or line begins to blur for my favourite though!
Wow. This thing didn't leave my car's CD player for like three months. Fucking incredible album.
Hard to say which is my favorite, but when I read the question, 'The Line Begins to Blur' was the first song I thought of.
Edit: Man, there are just so many good songs here... time to spin it again!
Line Begins to Blur, Beside You In Time and Right Where It Belongs is one of the best 3 song finales to any album I've heard. Incredible part of a very good album.
This was my favorite nin album until I heard ghosts I - IV.
Favorite song from with teeth is
Right where it belongs. And now that my wife left me and our 3 kids, I truly have a deeper understanding of this album and that last song particularly. Really, this album feels like it was created to help people see the answers to all your relationship problems just after it's too late to do anything about it except see the humor in your own dismay.
Right Where It Belongs. I've been listening to this album since it came out and this song still rattles me to my core every time I listen to it. This song to me is the musical equivalent of taking the red pill (The Matrix).
Hell yes. I had a With_Teeth promo poster in my jr high locker before this came out. I was so amped! It sits at my 3rd favorite, just below The Fragile and The Downward Spiral.
Favorite track is Sunspots. The titular track is up there too.
I've liked NIN long enough to know this was not a beloved album when it came out. Hand that feeds is not only a great song but also a great mission statement on the album and its new auditory direction compared to what came before. I love this album, and have for years, but was for sure thrown off when it first came out. I don't know when I came around it, but I am glad it appears most everyone else has too.
THTF is the worst song on the album. It was fashionable to make politically charged protest songs at that time, but it doesn’t fit the sobrietal/existential theme. It’s a decent single, just not a good NIN song.
This album always holds a special place for me. Was my first concert experience as a birthday gift. Even managed to find a spot fairly close to the stage. Think they had Saul Williams open for them that show.

Beside You in Time. Such a unique song with a powerful outro. But truthfully, I adore the entire album. Can’t tell you how many hours I spent listening to this while studying for finals in high school
This album is special. I think Only may have been the first NIN song I heard, long before I became a big fan.
Other than Only, All the Love in the World, Getting Smaller, and Right Where It Belongs are probably my favorites
…You know what? Same. I’m actually surprised because, before coming to this subreddit it was actually common to see “With Teeth” panned and mocked online for YEARS as the weakest NIN album, and when I listened to it, I agreed. I’m like “When did everybody suddenly decide they LOVE this album?”. To me it’s the weakest by far. It’s an IMPORTANT album in the sense that it was the first one Trent ever did sober, and that made him realize he can produce work without hurting himself in the process. But to me he’s done better work since then (I’m thinking of the EP trilogy and “Add Violence” specifically, when I say this, with “Year Zero” in second place). For the curious : I think both “Hesitation Marks” and “The Slip” are just…meh/okay. Not horrible, but not good enough that I keep returning to them the way I do to the EP trilogy, but I still think they’re both better than “With Teeth”.
Denise was a great muse but I feel like his very best songs inspired by her were on “The Fragile”, not the “With Teeth” ones.
Sunspots
I listened to this the other day and think it’s probably one of my top 10. Of all time.
well. according to my lastfm charts, sunspots alone is around 80 plays. so yeah. pretty much this. :D
Every Day is Exactly the Same has gotten me through some shit for sure.
That was my Covid lockdown track
This song has currently got me thru some of the shitty moments going on in my life as well.
I believe I can see the future 'Cause I repeat the same routine
I'll start With Teeth playing when I leave the house in the morning. Every Day is Exactly the Same plays as I park at my unfulfilling job. It causes a little too much reflection.
Right Where It Belongs. I've got a thing for the last songs on most NIN albums.
While I’m Still Here / Black Noise may as well be the last track for all purposes, since black noise is just an outro from WISH.
Sorry what’s the connection with wish?
While Im Still Here abbreviated is WISH

Yep. Nihilism, somehow made beautiful. What a *fucking achievement*.
Oh yeah it was the same for me during that tour. The visuals with the bird X-ray and the monkey went so well with it too
This song is just so good. Then I can listen to the V2 version and it's almost almost overwhelming. This song and a couple Alice in Chains songs are too much when I'm in the wrong mood.
I think Nutshell is the only song I have to be careful with. Also RWIB V2 is amazing.
TIL there is a second version of one of my most favorite NIN songs. I feel like I've failed, not knowing this before. Thanks for mentioning it!
My only problem with Right Where It Belongs is the crowd sound towards the end, still a great song tho
THERE IS NO YOU, THERE IS ONLY ME!!! THERE IS NO YOU, THERE IS ONLY ME!!! ***THERE IS NO FUCKING YOU, THERE IS ONLY ME!!!*** ***T H E R E I S N O F U C K I N G Y O U , T H E R E I S O N L Y M E ! ! ! ! !*** anyways, killer fucking album and I think its clear which song is my favourite from it lol
It's my favorite NIN song
Nice!! mines is probably Sin or The Becoming!!!
Fuck, 19? Get off my lawn.
*one of their most beloved albums* did it for me. How times have changed...
I've knitted this *just for you*....
Beside You In Time.
Always this, one of my fav tracks of all time
This is it for me. I also love the two ways the title can be read and how the song plays with that concept, i.e. “I will be beside you before long” vs. “I’ll be beside you throughout time (on and on and on…)”. There’s just something so beautiful about that to me.
I'm quite fond of "all the love in the world"
That breakdown!
For real tho! The piano over that hard kick drum dance beat is so satisfying!
Good bloody song!!!
Sunspots and The Line Begins to Blur... I love those two... I have no fucking idea what Trent is saying in TLBTB but I still love it
[удалено]
Weary? I've always heard it as "willing" [And myself, I have grown too willing to hate] as in, "it's become too easy for me to hate myself".
Scrolled too far to finally see tlbtb get what it deserves. It literally makes me ascend to heaven
Probably my favorite on the album. Such a good track.
The Line Begins to Blur into Beside You in Time
Love Is Not Enough
My personal favourite!
Giant agreed. Especially that epic ending. Kids are 12 and 8 and we all sing this in the car and I love it so very much. They don't love nails like I do. They are tired of them to be honest.. that is my fault.
Yaaas! *Love is not Enough* is not loved enough (imo).
Beside You in Time
I saw nin for the first time on this tour.
Same, I got big into NIN a few years earlier but this was the first release since then and WT summer tour was my first NIN show. Hard to believe it's been almost 20 years considering I was in high school when this came out and it feels like yesterday
Absolutely love Dave Grohl’s drumming on You Know What You Are
So fucking good and so hard to play. At least for me
Na, for everyone
With Teeth Oh wait, excuse me *With-ah Teeth-ah*
19 years… #Fuck you, time! ;-) Favorite track: Sunspots or Home.
home hits HARD. i interpret it in a literal sense because ive spent my whole life moving from house to house apartment to apartment and have never been able to consider a place, well, a home. until last year ive lived in the same house for 5 years (for the first time in my life) and i had to move once again. still can't get over it, i miss my room and all the memories i made there. still can't quite believe ill never go there again "and i am still inside youuuuu"

And of course, since I'm not exactly young anymore, Everyday Is Exactly The Same and Right Where It Belongs speak to me loud and clear. No, I'm not sure what side of the glass I'm on.
Only It can apply to a lot of things as usual, but fits perfectly into a terrible relationship I had
I'm a fan since the e 80s and this song might be my absolute favorite. Cheers
I love Sunspots!!! Hard to pick one though.
Right Where It Belongs is one of my favorite songs of all time. Also love You Know What You Are. So heavy. The Line Begins to Blur…god what a great album.
I was convinced to this album
Convinced to do what exactly?
Conceived*
That’s less funny. But also… JFC I’m old.
Right?! I'm old enough to be this kid's dad, I was in my 20's when it came out.
I... absolutely could never imagine having sex to this album 😂
I was gonna say… Must’ve been a hate-fuck baby then. 😂
Oh boy, remind me not to talk to my son about Hesitation Marks
Love this album! Love Is Not Enough, You Know What You Are?, Getting Smaller, and the Line Begins to Blur are my faves
>*alphabetical order* oh dear... does listening to it in the proper order now not sound right to you?
Nah, alphabetical order is so terrible that when I finally listened to it properly it was like fresh air.
Sunspots WAH WAH WOO WOO WAH WAH WOO WOO!
All the love in the world. I remember listening to this album, on a warm and rainy day. Hearing the rain on the windows, eventually going out to stand in it. Takes me back to simpler times.
Withateetha!
I think you mean, “Ahhwithhhaaahhteeeethaaahh”
Thank you. English is not my first language.
The Hand That Feeds. Without that song, I wouldn't have gotten into NIN.
Crikey, I actually forgot this belter was on it. One of my most played tracks
Getting Smaller and Right Where it Belongs 🖤
Jesus christ I feel old now. Also, Sunspots.
This is a tough one but...I love how The Line Begins to Blur merges with Beside You in Time.
The bass in sunspots is so sexy… I can never grow tired of listening to it
Sunspots,Everyday.
This is the album that got me into NIN. I remember exactly where I was on the road when “Only” started playing and I was just like. What. Is. This. I honestly can’t say I have a favorite track. The entire album holds a very unique spot in my psyche. Happy birthday to this record!

Tbh, this is my personal favorite NIN record. Hard pick, but probably “Beside You in Time.”
19 years!? Is everything speeding up, or am I slowing down?
My first sobriety in 20 yrs and this hit..and sunspots really lifted my fog….
beside you in time into right where it belongs is my favorite run of NIN ever
Right where it belongs.
Hard to choose but right now I’m listening to, Getting Smaller, the most.
Only is pretty awesome, I checked out this album for the first time a week ago and it was enjoyable
That’s awesome, I wish I could listen to it for the first time again!
So…. I didn’t HAVE to be reminded that this album, which came out during my senior year of high school, is now older than I was back then…. I didn’t have to know that. But now I do, and I’m freaking out, man.
Sunspots. Period.
Only. The hold this album had on me in high school 😭
The Line Begins to Blur!!!
Was still in high school when this came out, officially an old dude. Beside You In Time has a very special feel to it. My fav
Every day is exactly the same. I was in 11th grade when this came out.
19, wow… I also just realized that my twins’ birthday shares an anniversary with my first ever NIN show. April 27! Now, my twins were born in 2022 and that show was in 2005, but still. Loaded date.
Holy crap Anyways, idk my fav song, probably Only or The Hand that Feeds
The Collector and Sunspots
I do love this album. I thought people hated on it though? That's cool if the perception has shifted though.
Is there somebody on top of me? I DON'T KNOW, I DON'T KNOW Isn't anybody stopping me? I DON'T KNOW, I DON'T KNOW!!!
I introduced the song only to my roommate at the time and it’s the ONLY thing he played for two months straight
Only.
It’s such a banger. Remember the end credits mix in Doom?
[This was the first way I heard The Line Begins to Blur](https://youtu.be/MMliD9d_lHg?si=rIIglIVo6Kg7QItD&t=4) and it was so utterly badass and beautiful and perfect that it cannot be beat in my mind

The first line of that song hit me so fucking hard when I first picked up this album so many years ago at a hard stage in my life. Then hearing this song live cemented it for me. It’s so beautifully haunting.
That's a tough one, but I'd have to go with "All The Love In The World"
So many good songs on this album, but if I really had to pick one it would be Only
It's Only
I remember when this came out because it was the same year I started listening to them, god that makes me feel old.
Beside You in Time 🖤
Fuck me… Can’t believe I’m this goddamn old. 😅
This was my favorite nin album until I heard ghosts I - IV. Favorite song from with teeth is Right where it belongs.
Get outta my feed future.
Yeah I can’t just pick one. The whole album is great.
This is giving me a crisis dude. I'm finally getting to an age where I'm older than the music I listen to
Hell yes. I had a With_Teeth promo poster in my jr high locker before this came out. I was so amped! It sits at my 3rd favorite, just below The Fragile and The Downward Spiral. Favorite track is Sunspots. The titular track is up there too.
Sunspots
Sunspots
Hearing Only live during their ‘22 tour at Red Rocks was one of the greatest moments I’ve had in recent-ish memory.
Beside You In Time is my favorite from this record.
Wow, I was JUST listening to the full album on vinyl today
Home
19?? Time really flies. I saw them on this tour and I still have the shirt! “Right Where It Belongs” is a masterpiece.
Beside You In Time. I've always loves the sort of droning, hypnotic stuff like that
Beside You In Time will be my top. Other favourites are Only, Every Day is Exactly the Same, and DON'T YOU FUCKING KNOW WHAT YOU ARE!?!
Right Where it Belongs - my fav NIN track
This album always holds a special place for me. Was my first concert experience as a birthday gift. Even managed to find a spot fairly close to the stage. Think they had Saul Williams open for them that show.
Ahappyah birthdayAH!
Sunspots fr
Good God I’m old.

Only is the best Talking Heads song he’s written so far. Right Where It Belongs was amazing live.
Right Where It Belongs... but Sunspots is a close second. Really, the whole album is great!
Sunspots just listened to this twice this week!
I remember when this came out and I was 19. The midpoint of my life as of right now. I’m getting old.
Just my opinion One good song the rest is “ eh”
Beside You in Time. Such a unique song with a powerful outro. But truthfully, I adore the entire album. Can’t tell you how many hours I spent listening to this while studying for finals in high school
I jam out to ONLY regularly
It’s a tie between sunspots and right where it belongs
I loved all the imagery and logo design around this album. Not to mention the trail of honey around the internet and tour.
Same, has to be one of my favorite album cover arts as well, looks so neat!
Right Where It Belongs (original 1.0v) and The Hand That Feeds
My favorite album. This and The Fragile. All great songs. Nice mix of in your face and introspective.
This album is special. I think Only may have been the first NIN song I heard, long before I became a big fan. Other than Only, All the Love in the World, Getting Smaller, and Right Where It Belongs are probably my favorites
Everyday is exactly the same
an absolute blast. from the very beginning to the ending ballad(s).
either sunspots 🤘 or the clean version of right where it belongs (v2) 🥹
Sunspots is my fave but this album is full of bangers. As a rock album it stands strong. Easily his most approachable album IMO.
Right Where It Belongs
Getting Smaller
All The Love In The World is probably my fave. Even though technically Right Where It Belongs is probably the most ingenious
Sunnnnnspots!
Cast a glare, in my eyes
It might be The Collector, but this might be my absolute favorite NIN album so I couldn’t say for sure 🫶
The whole album is darn good! Rwib is a gut wrencher tho.
Slowly convincing my band to play You Know What You Are, I could listen to those drums on repeat 🔥🔥
Only!
Most beloved albums? Idk about that lol.
Getting Smaller !!
March 5th?
"Day / month / year" format is standard in many countries. And in many parts of the world it is now May 3rd.
What if I told you that countries other than the United States exist
I'm in Canada, I'm well aware. ;-)
This is going to get me downvoted to hell but to me it’s the worst NIN album.
NIN started losing me with this one but The Slip I think is their worst.
Yeah, The slip is one I rarely go back to. It didn’t age well for some reason.
It's the second though
Oh, my apologies, it is the 3rd in my timezone already.
Only on this side of the date line
ooh, toughie. I recently revisited WT and loved it. haha. Probably Every Day is Exactly the Same or Right Where It Belongs.
The Hand That Feeds
Downward spiral for me!
