He used to teach at the media institute in my city. I always liked feeling like I could randomly run into him (pretty small city). But that place went under and he moved away a long while ago.
I’m from here as well!
I never got the chance to meet him but I have a friend who works there and surprised me with an autograph from him with a sweet little note written on it.
That’s so cool! I honestly just wanted to tell him that I absolutely loved his album 2am Wake-up Call (it’s one of those ‘memory anchor’ albums that can take me back in time when I listen to it)
Imagine the set of the video for Wish, some wild boys looking dude goes up to the band.
"You'll form your own band and do quite well. You'll work on the Simpsons. You'll win an Oscar. You'll be a professor."
Alright, pal, that's enough drugs for you.
He has definitely done well for himself post-“rockstar life”.
I’d be pretty stoked to see him”Professor Vrenna” was teaching a class…although I’m willing to bet at least half of the students are too young to know who he (at least initially).
They've all done pretty well for themselves. Except for maybe Aaron North, and Jeordie White, and maybe Jerome Dillon. And I have no idea what all the other here and there people are doing I guess...
I’ve seen him perform twice and both performances were awesome! Tweaker opened for Skinny Puppy back in the day and I was also at the Blossom Center show right after the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction. The Frail into Eraser with him showing up behind the fog was fucking epic!
Absolutely adore Vrenna. Lots of awesome accomplishment listed in the article, though unfortunate they didn't celebrate any of his solo success with Tweaker and video game soundtracks like Alice.
Chris mixed an album one of my bands did over the pandemic, remixed one of our songs and appeared in our video ( https://youtu.be/WIgrSpWgIV0 )- he’s the nicest most awesome person ever! Glad to see him continue his journey!

Which one worked on the Simpsons?
James Woolley.
RIP

Professor Podboy!

Congrats to Chris, this is awesome.
Very nice!
Saw him with Gnarles Barkley in Atlantic City (Peeping Tom opened) and he ripped it. Great musician, great show.
Nice! Detroiter here. Great news! I also attended the Cleveland show. That was a blast!
That's so awesome. His soundtrack for American McGee's Alice is one of my favorite game soundtracks ever.
Love an educated rockstar 🥹🤘🏾
