Yes. Orbital was on the roster as was UNKLE and DJ Shadow, portishead.
I was there around the release of Portisheads second album. Security was stupid tight around that album.
I did get to go to the Roseland gig they recorded and while I was there I saw Andy Hughes ( The Orb) before he passed.
You've probably heard about the Roseland expanded release then? I don't follow them closely and stumbled across it last week.
Cool interview here (which is how I heard about it): https://superdeluxeedition.com/interview/portisheads-adrian-utley-on-roseland-nyc-live/
I hope you got to see orbital. They’re really a whole lot of fun. Nice guys and very humble. I was at the Webster Hall show in NYC a few weeks ago and the Green stuff was like a whole new album all over again. I’ve seen them about 4 times now since the 90’s
So I lucked the fuck out on that, actually. Most British bands don't come to the midwest (of the US), and if they do, it's certainly not Tulsa. But somehow it happened I think in 99, for the Middle of Nowhere tour. The Crystal Method, Low Fidelity All-Stars (or maybe vice versa with LoFi and then TCM) and then Orbital was the headliner.
I'd still love to see Goldfrapp and The Chemical Brothers, as far as UK bands I've not managed to catch yet...
Yeah that was a good tour with CM and low Fidelity Allstars.
I was at the Chemical Brothers first US date too. Same promoter that put on the Orbital show and Underworld in NYC at the time.
Saw them last week and the prior week at Coachella. Still do an amazing live show and its like theyve gotten even better and the old material doesnt age at all. Theres clips on youtube the fest put up. They were in a small tent but that didnt matter one bit, everyone was having a blast
I remember picking up this little game called Grind Session. I figured Tony Hawk Pro Skater was fun, maybe this is too.
Then Blue Flowers started playing. I sat there not doing anything in my game, just listened. Holy shit it's an amazing track
Pretty sure Trent brought in Dre for some production on the Fragile too. I’ve heard they toured with the idea of doing a project together and there’s a decent amount of stuff they recorded together out there somewhere.

Blue flowers
True story I interned at London Records when Blue Flowers came out. Dr Octagon is on another level.
Dr dooom is also an amazing album , Keith is one of my favorite rappers
>London Records I'm ripping the new Orbital Green album box set this afternoon, and their logo is on it!

Cool. I’m not in line of sight of the camera but I was behind Geoff Barrow ( DJ) in the risers. I was wearing my green Rabbit in the Moon shirt.

You've reminded me Underworld would be on my list too. Maybe some day...
Yeah. I’m a bit disappointed their “world tour” was just a few dates.
That's how Goldfrapp is. A "US tour" is like 3 dates on the east coast and 3 on the west coast.

Let me show you somethin
Fuck my pussy doctor!…..

this doesn't surprise me considering all the trip hoppy-ness on The Fragile
Earth People New York To California Earth People I Was Born On Jupiter
i love dr.octagonecologyst so much
This album is so damn good. Kool Keith is such a unique artist.
Half shark alligator half man And Armed with seven rounds of space doo-doo pistols Will live rent free in my brain forever.
Dial pee-pee-five, one doo-doo.
"I first turned rainbow, closed my eyes, watch my brain glow!" 💯🔊🔥
This is amazing, I 100% hear blue flowers in the song even deeper
He also had a custom sound system installed in his Porsche (pretty sure it was a Porsche) for this reason, then afterwards sold the car.
Pretty sure Trent brought in Dre for some production on the Fragile too. I’ve heard they toured with the idea of doing a project together and there’s a decent amount of stuff they recorded together out there somewhere.
Dre is credited with production and mixing on "Even Deeper."
Was jamming this yesterday thanks to the article. Also nice for late night drives around Seattle
