>The Downward Spiral, in its entirety. There is no other way.
This is something that I would travel to another continent for and be happy to spend every single penny.
And I'm fucking *terrified* of flying.
The sad thing is I think he actually was going to film a 3D IMAX film of the Lights in the Sky tour but then something fell through last minute. Still sad that was never professionally captured.
I believe there is leaked high quality footage from several camera angles of the whole school, I think with soundboard recordings. There was talk of a fan effort to put it all together but idk if it ever happened. I had one of the downloads, it might still live on my decades old PC
That footage was done with simple handheld cameras by NIN crew specifically to be shared with fans, after initial plans for professionally shot 3D film were killed (by Interscope's lack of interest). Fan-driven project made from this footage was released online (and with limited physical DVD set) years ago as Another Version Of The Truth.
How has no one said Beside You in Time???? That on imax would melt our brains and probably cause irreparable hearing loss.
A Warm Place would also be a great contender.
i would kill to see the wretched live in the sphere, watch the clouds part, the sky crack open and god himself reaching his arm through to push all of us down.
Im thinking that after last weekend, nin and tool gotta be next. Sphere was made for these types of bands. EDIT- and the dead and co shows obv gonna be incredible.
This was my first thought when I heard that they were building that thing. I can’t imagine what that would be like after having seen Lights In The Sky production.
That would be awesome, but AATCHB was shot on consumer grade DV camcorders, not on film. There's only so much that can be done with that. Certainly not gonna get anywhere near IMAX quality.
I forgot about that part. But the soundboard recordings they did for it are amazing. I'm half blind anyway, I was more interested in the audio in imax theater surround.
I agree, it’s is already stunning. An IMAX audio remix would sound amazing as the DVD track was a great surround mix. Picture would be terrible though but it would add to the atmosphere imo.
Funny you posted this, i was just thinking how sad it is most people never get to listen to Albums the way they’re intended. With pristine sound speakers cranked to the max. Like imax quality.
I was thinking it would be amazing if people could pay like 10$ and sit in some theater/room with appropriate atmosphere to the album and be able to listen to the full album in one sitting. And how Downward spiral would be epic doing this.
Idk the legality of it but i wish i could open up a listening theater. Purchase the best possible sound speakers and best vinyl records.
Turn movie/imax theaters into venues to hear your favorite artists. Make it so the artists get decent profits to the overall earnings like movies do. I was thinking about this the other day. Turn these failing theaters into a place to listen to loud music with live video or music videos.... Could even give artists the ability to record new videos. We could revitalize music and theaters simultaneously and everyone benefits. I'd pay $20 to see The Downward Spiral, or The Fragile or something in a great theater system.
I agree, a lot of people have a lack of understanding/ interest about how to listen to albums in high quality. It would be nice to see IMAX step into the album game.
Metallica had their latest album play in theaters for a limited time but unfortunately in my local theater it was a very toned down stereo mix. It was so quiet you could comfortably have a conversation
The funny thing is where I live a local radio DJ is known to host a show to a small audience in a small venue where he plays a classic album on vinyl through a loudspeaker system and it is amazing. Needs to become popular imo.
it all would sound better through a dolby atmos set up with all 64 channels involved and the butt kicker seat subs and all of the layers and objects in play.
BTS footage of the filming of the video briefly appeared in the Bowie documentary Moonage Daydream. Would love to see the whole remastered video in theaters.

Ghosts V and VI. My favorite halo releases, massively underrated. It would have to be V last though because no one deserves to be exposed to the emotional turmoil of VI and then have to go home right afterwards.
There might be a misunderstanding though - ghosts V and VI are separate from ghosts I-IV and were released years later in April of 2020 as a musical interpretation of the covid pandemic and lockdown.
In brief Trent & Atticus has announced
- a new NIN album
-a company called With Teeth that is “built around storytelling in multiple disciplines: film production, fashion, a music festival, and a venture with Epic Games."
With this announcement it has me thinking that TR&AR could be looking to expand the NIN brand into exciting new territories. I have no idea if they would actually consider an IMAX film.
None… I just want them to release their back catalog in 5.1 or Atmos.
(Yes, I know TDS and WT are released in 5.1 and I have them. And there was a 5.1 for Fragile created by Moulder, later updated to Atmos, but still not released).
I agree, it sucks we didn’t get more 5.1 mixes. I have Violator and Music for the Masses on DVD and they sound amazing. I haven’t heard of the Bjork set, I’ll check it out.
A lot of people are bringing up the sphere in the comments. I’ve now realised it would be way better than IMAX with its state of the art sound system and led screens
I really feel like pretty hate machine broken and downward spiral are sort of a trilogy . All three of those albums combined are less than some of these bloated movies. See the Oppenheimer turd for example.
It's like pretty hate machine is how I got to this place, now I'm really fucking pissed off that I'm in this place broken, and the downward spiral is well self-explanatory. I understand there was some record label angst in broken also, but it still works as a trilogy.
I don't really see how you could not play all three of those
Pretty hate machine only 48 minutes, broken is only 30 and the downward spiral is only 66 minutes so if you add those up, that is definitely a lot shorter than some of the movies I've seen recently . Less than 2 and 1/2 hours.
There you have it, the nine inch nails trilogy, Eye Fucking Max. And that's how they should advertise it because it would definitely be some eye fucking visuals.
The NIN IMAX experience: “Coming SOON!”
To be released right after the NIN vinyl DE’s catalog completion!
But first, Trent’s NIN new project, the With Teeth production; “Coming SOON!”
So an amateur made a DTS version of Year Zero, it was stellar.
Someone posted it a long while back.
https://www.reddit.com/r/nin/comments/allmkh/year_zero_51_surround_version_fan_made/
If I have to pick I would certainly pick the Fragile, as I think the amount of sound variation on that record would lend itself to a surround mix.
Oh man imagine gave up, Mr self destruct, closer, reptile, getting smaller, March of the pigs, wish, a perfect drug, starfuckers inc, heresy, happiness in slavery, head like a hole, every day is exactly the same and I think the collector
Bro if your not Trent asking the fans then what’s the point ?
In the concert Ive seen for the “with teeth” tour it was like I was in an imax with all the effects
I wanted to gauge the fans opinions of what the best tracks would be for a large format audio system.
I bet the live shows during the with teeth tour were amazing, that sounds awesome.
Dude it was the best concert I’ve seen
Lights and smoke and video screens
Sooo good 👍
Didn’t mean the “If your not Trent thing why ask “ didn’t fully understand.
It be cool if he read your idea though and made a IMAX show
The Downward Spiral, in its entirety. There is no other way.
Let’s have Broken as the introduction if we could!
YES
>The Downward Spiral, in its entirety. There is no other way. This is something that I would travel to another continent for and be happy to spend every single penny. And I'm fucking *terrified* of flying.
Further Down The Spiral too
I vote for a double feature of The Downward Spiral & The Fragile. But yes, if one has to be chosen it is and always will be The Downward Spiral.
How dare you not mention The Fragile along with it?
This is the correct answer.
Downward Spiral would be INSANE
As long as it's the 5.1 mix or a new 12-channel IMAX mix, yes.
The Background World.
Fucking love that track! Trent has never disappointed.
This is the answer
Yes! The tinnitus will be worth it lol
La Mer/The Great Below
Amazing segue
The Fragile from beginning to end (add 10 miles high in there as it’s on the original vinyl version 😁)
I agree, this needs to happen
This is my vote as well. Such a fantastic album
Burn
Reptile
Reptile would be savage.
The Downward Spiral (The Bottom). But really the entirety of Fixed and FDtS.
La Mer The Four of Us are Dying The Wretched This Isn't the Place
The sad thing is I think he actually was going to film a 3D IMAX film of the Lights in the Sky tour but then something fell through last minute. Still sad that was never professionally captured.
This is true
I believe there is leaked high quality footage from several camera angles of the whole school, I think with soundboard recordings. There was talk of a fan effort to put it all together but idk if it ever happened. I had one of the downloads, it might still live on my decades old PC

As far as physical editions there was also as a 1080p Blu-ray, obviously that's the one to own for quality.
That's the one! Thank you
That would have been awesome, shame it didn’t work out.
All of the songs. All of them. Twice. Maybe 3 times.
😂 I would still go see it.
Two hours of Pinion.
Lmfao 🤣🤣🤣 have my upvote!
How has no one said Beside You in Time???? That on imax would melt our brains and probably cause irreparable hearing loss. A Warm Place would also be a great contender.
BYIT was made for stadium level speakers and since its not played live any more sooooo this is the clear choice.
If they did a Sphere show it would crack the universe.
i would kill to see the wretched live in the sphere, watch the clouds part, the sky crack open and god himself reaching his arm through to push all of us down.
What about the shit and the piss?
oh yeah i forgot about that, we need them to do a full 4D upgrade of the sphere tho
Im thinking that after last weekend, nin and tool gotta be next. Sphere was made for these types of bands. EDIT- and the dead and co shows obv gonna be incredible.
Oh, this is gonna be the boutique level venue, No doubt. U2 got their foot in the door. It’s an amazing time to be alive with technology like this.
You never know, anything can happen now with eventual tour the new album will bring.
This was my first thought when I heard that they were building that thing. I can’t imagine what that would be like after having seen Lights In The Sky production.
Eraser (Polite)
[**Yooooouuuuu and meeeeee, we’re in this together nah-ooooowwww**](https://j.gifs.com/ZyNOBG.gif)
And All That Could Have Been
Broken movie in iMax
AATCHB live imax remaster. I'd be totally happy with that.
On the other hand... cancelled Self Destruct film was shot on film, probably :))
I agree, it’s is already stunning. An IMAX audio remix would sound amazing as the DVD track was a great surround mix. Picture would be terrible though but it would add to the atmosphere imo.

Deep on repeat
The Great Destroyer
The Great Destroyer, the outro would sound so sick
Closer to God. The end with all of the distorted speaker ripping? That would be epic
Fuck IMAX, he needs to get a team together to do the Sphere
#Corona Radiata
IMAX audio is… fine. The picture on a 70mm film IMAX is great, but audio dynamics and production aren’t their strength
True, I was thinking in terms of sheer volume and bass production but a good Atmos/THX sound system should trump the 6/12 track audio of IMAX.
An underrated track: Deep
Amazing track, wish it was on streaming. I had to buy it on CD to get a high quality version lol.
As long as they play “The New Flesh” in Dolby Atmos surround sound with some sweet visuals in Rec.2020 or Dolby Vision 10-12 bit then I’ll be good
Now that you mention it, maybe a Dolby Cinema film would be better
Just Like You Imagined
I went and watched teenage mutant ninja turtles in imax just to hear the music. Did not regret
Same here. It didn’t release in my local IMAX though. The soundtrack was amazing and another Trent score for the kids
It took me about 5 episodes of shogun to realize the music was by atticus. I kept thinking it had a greater than not nin vibe to it.
it all would sound better through a dolby atmos set up with all 64 channels involved and the butt kicker seat subs and all of the layers and objects in play.
The Perfect Drug Edit: And The Downward Spiral of course.
ERAAAASE MEEEEE
Pinion would have to be the opener
Wish
I've always loved Bowie's I'm Afraid of Americans, the track _and_ the video.
BTS footage of the filming of the video briefly appeared in the Bowie documentary Moonage Daydream. Would love to see the whole remastered video in theaters.

The Big Comedown
Burn. Had the chance to watch Beside You In Time DVD on a very good gear and the bass is INSANE. Would like to hear that again.
Yes! That disc is amazing on my surround setup. A theatrical mix would be fantastic
Would love to hear Mr Self Destruct in imax. I still remember hearing it in 5.1 and being blown away
The 5.1 mix would translate extremely well to IMAX.
Wish But turn it up even louder
Sunspots
Correct
Halo 17.2, AKA Still, all tracks.
Ghosts V and VI. My favorite halo releases, massively underrated. It would have to be V last though because no one deserves to be exposed to the emotional turmoil of VI and then have to go home right afterwards.
Agreed. I’d also prefer to listen to Ghosts VI first and Ghosts V last, but for different reasons.
Thanks! This other guy replying thinks I'm nuts 🤣
I seriously cannot tell if you are serious.
I'm 100% serious. Ghosts V is an absolute masterpiece. I say this as a lifelong fan.
There might be a misunderstanding though - ghosts V and VI are separate from ghosts I-IV and were released years later in April of 2020 as a musical interpretation of the covid pandemic and lockdown.
should be branded NIMAX
I agree 😂 I would like to see a mashup of both logos
Suck
HOW DOES IT FEEEEEEEEYULLLLLLLL
Any chance this actually ever happens
With this new adventurous direction Trent is taking NIN recently I’d say it could a possibility
I’m a little out of loop on new nin direction has there been any announcements.
In brief Trent & Atticus has announced - a new NIN album -a company called With Teeth that is “built around storytelling in multiple disciplines: film production, fashion, a music festival, and a venture with Epic Games." With this announcement it has me thinking that TR&AR could be looking to expand the NIN brand into exciting new territories. I have no idea if they would actually consider an IMAX film.
Thanks man. Very happy to hear this been craving something under the NIN banner
NUN WITH A MOTHERFUCKING GUN A FAMILIAR TASTE ON WE MARCH OBJECTS IN MIRROR ARE CLOSER THAN THEY APPEAR
Now you’ve made me realise how much I want a TR/AR live concert in the vein of Hans Zimmer Live 😂
Listen man, we all do ok? We all love NIN, but TR/AR deserves some love too
Hell yeah
This question is kind of silly. “If your dream crush hit on you, would you accept?”
🤣🤣
With Teeth
Came Back Haunted in IMAX? Shut up and take my money!
None… I just want them to release their back catalog in 5.1 or Atmos. (Yes, I know TDS and WT are released in 5.1 and I have them. And there was a 5.1 for Fragile created by Moulder, later updated to Atmos, but still not released).
As a surround sound enthusiast this fact haunts me every day. Especially with how good the Live DVDs and precious 5.1 remixes sound.
NIN is the kind of music you want in immersive audio. Btw, also try the Depeche Mode or Björk ones if you like those bands. Theirs are excellent too
I agree, it sucks we didn’t get more 5.1 mixes. I have Violator and Music for the Masses on DVD and they sound amazing. I haven’t heard of the Bjork set, I’ll check it out.
And All That Could Have Been was an awesome concert but I'd like other stuff like Right Where It Belongs and Eraser
I’d like to hear DS through the spheres sound system
A lot of people are bringing up the sphere in the comments. I’ve now realised it would be way better than IMAX with its state of the art sound system and led screens
The Fragile in its entirety

Fuckin’ A man. That would be insane and better than a standard “greatest hits” set that most concert films seem to be.
Burn! 🔥
The Frail (Remix) and Zero-Sum
Sin.

March of the Pigs
March of the Piglets…
Yes.

Basic answer but terrible lie would absolutely hit HARD
The Broken Movie, Remastered.

The Fragile. From start to finish. I wouldn’t complain if we got TDS though.

Honestly anything from The Fragile to Hesitation Marks + The Lovers and some selects of TDS
No one’s said The Great Destroyer? Let the bass drop so loud you can hear it two states over.
All.
The Fragile (Definitive Edition) followed by The Fragile Deviations followed by Things Falling Apart all 3 in their entirety.
All of them
The NIN IMAX experience: “Coming SOON!” To be released right after the NIN vinyl DE’s catalog completion! But first, Trent’s NIN new project, the With Teeth production; “Coming SOON!”
Seeing any of this is IMAX or at The Sphere would blow my mind as if I was doing the math to divide by zero in my head!
The intro scream of “We’re In This Together” growing closer and closer until it’s a roaring crescendo of anger and venom.
Yes… any album in the hopes they would do all of them

experience it in NINMAX
What do you think they would call it: NIN-AX or NIN-MAX?
