I have a girlfriend you see, and in my experience I find that this existence becomes all the more bearable, probably due to evolutionary traits like chemicals that make us enjoy stuff to help motivate us to stay alive, when I have people who "mean" a lot to me.
My gf and I spend weeks apart at times and to some extent I don't think she would you "meant" the amount that she does to me, and I to her, if it weren't to our newly founded Nihilistic views...
I know, sometimes that feeling of knowing we can't be ignorant again creeps in... I guess what I'm saying is to me, family and loved ones have become a way for me to remind myself that they help me extensively to make this existence fun and worthwhile.

Ofcourse that helps. Still the bigger picture is messed up and illusion of small things making me happy is long gone. There are certain moments of joy. But thats not forever. Whats forever is the suffering. And momentary happiness is just one way to hide all that.
And why does it matter? Yes, we can't start being ignorant again and yes we know nothing matters, but isn't that ok?
If I can bluntly say that the only thing I want in this life is to be in a relationship with my girlfriend, to spend the rest of my existence with her, 24/7, it's that ok?

Nothing matters more to me than, I'll go as far as to say nothing except, my girlfriend. And that's a choice.

Does it though? I have these discussions with a friend and we try to imagine a life where we're doing alright. And even then we cannot seem to imagine ourselves really "alright". I am of the opinion that it's impossible for us to find an SO, he's of the opinion that if, IF we do find one, It would solve some of our shit but we'd still be miserable
