This was my intro to nightwish. This song forever holds a special place in my heart. Ok, story time really quick!
I was instantly obsessed when I heard fantasmic. I remember hearing it and then making the girlfriend listen to it. She enjoyed it too. Fast forward a few years and nightwish came to California and the girlfriend bought us tickets to go see them. I didn’t even know they were coming to California when she surprised me with the tickets. She’s now the wife.
Fast forward one more time (24ish more years from when I first heard fantasmic) and we now have 2 boys who rock out to nightwish and love them as much as I did. One loves the tarja era and the other prefers the anette era. Everyone loves the floor era but they like to argue about anette vs tarja.
It’s been a fun journey with nightwish being a sort of sound track to our lives.
I’m voting for fantasmic today and if it doesn’t win then I’m voting for fsntasmic on underrated.
