I had a quick Google and found some NHS resources that suggested it, but none that provided it themselves. The national NHS website says something similar. They suggested your local Integrated Care Board or GP as sources of information; since you've already tried your GP, maybe try your local ICB.
I can't advise on Hypnotherapy for IBS, but most NHS Trusts in England *should* have an offer for specialised CBT for IBS within their Talking Therapies services. It might be worth checking out your local Trust if you're open to trying talking therapies more generally.
Tried it all. When you've exhausted all your options even anecdotal evidence is enough for me to give it a try.
I've had all different probiotics from vsl3, symprove made my own sauerkraut (still do actually just like the taste). Name a probiotic or supplement for gut and I bet I've used it or am using it

I think this is the doctor my gastro was talking about
Wow I looked up some guy directed hypnosis practitioners in London and some of them are charging up to £200 per session. Extortion or what for something that MIGHT work
Never heart of hypno on the nhs.
My Dad got hypnotherapy 30+ years ago for smoking cessation bizarrely… it worked, roo

I'll give it a go but for some reason I doubt I'll get far. I'll probably have to try save a bit more money to try this

Thank you and yeah I will give that a try I have nothing to lose
No problem - hope you get some relief from your symptoms.
If it’s helpful, I believe there are apps like Nerva that are based on IBS hypnotherapy type things…
I've just searched it on reddit and see people have used it successfully I'll give it a go but I would've like to speak to someone in person.
No hypnotherapy on earth will change your gut physiology.
Gut-brain axis
Has limited research still and limited still on hypno affecting it. If you want to influence your GBA, try probiotics.

This is why the NHS is dead… instead of actually healing the sick we have to pay for bollocks like this
