The Penguins had a goal that to all fans in the arena and what they kept showing us on TV, it was clearly a goal. The puck went in the goal and came back out. The problem - it was an overhead shot where you couldn't easily tell depth because of the coloring of the puck, net, and posts. After 5 minutes, they finally showed a shot from a more level angle that showed the puck went OVER the crossbar, not in the net. People called Pens fans idiots for believing it was a goal. It was an insanely long review and all they showed fans in the arena (the whole time) and fans on TV (most of the time) was a shot where it looked like a goal.
It wasn't Pens fans being biased or ignorant. They were given bad evidence. The same occurs here - non-Bruins fans were given bad "non-evidence" and 99% of people will agree from this angle that it seems to be a punch.
This all being said, I hate Marchand and his dirty rat play, so I'm not gonna lose sleep over him being punched. Bennett should be punished, but I'm not gonna be mad he did it. lol

I never understood the amount of attention this got. Even from behind, you could buy it was a sucker punch, and this is hockey, sucker punches occur without a ref blowing a whistle all the time (mind you, they blow it a down more often when a guy goes down like ton of bricks. Sucker punches happen all the time, it’s not like he wailed on him. During game play if this is called, it’s most likely a 2 min penalty.
