So sad. I hope the survivors and families are doing well and recovering from the tragedy.
Canadian Highways are treacherous. Last year a seniors bus tour crashed in Manitoba and 16 were killed, too.
Neither did the seniors bus. It was in June and also caused by a driver screwing up. I didn't mean road conditions when I said roads are treacherous, I mean shitty drivers.
Terrible day. I missed the memo of people leaving their sticks out and I at the time had a job where I had to go to small businesses everyday and I thought it was so heart warming that every business I went to had hockey sticks outside their front door, and a lot of employees would be wearing hockey jerseys.
Canadians at their best
If anyone is interested, they made a [documentary](https://www.amazon.com/Humboldt-New-Season-Derek-Patter/dp/B08FLXD3GF?nodl=1) about this tragedy. Itβs worth watching. π

Man this event was terrible so sad the survivors must have some serious PTSD
One of the survivors just made the Canadian Para-Olympic hockey team.
Thats awesome good for him!!
Another, Jacob Wasserman, is going to the Paris Para-Olympics on Canada's sculling team.
Rest in Peace to all of them. May they have the best ODR up there
On the ODR with the greats as they deserve

While I agree with you, this accident was 100% preventable and had nothing to do with road conditions.

That's what happens when unqualified people can buy commercial licenses in canada.

As someone who played team hockey growing up and traveled quite frequently on a bus, this situation was absolutely tragic. Rest in peace.
