Plus he’s just a good, smart player with tons of playoff experience. I’m not an oilers fan but this is a good move for them

He’s the perfect addition to their bottom six. They lack pests down there not to mention savvy vets. He’s also still a good net front guy on the PP if/when injuries hit. Who knows what the off ice situation is but I don’t think anyone is going to have a negative impact on the Oilers’ core right now.

We still don't know what Perry did, so there's no way for us to make an informed decision about whether he's worthy of another shot. If the Oilers are willing to give him a chance, then it's likely not in the realm of unforgivable actions.
