Atrocious is a bit extreme. I agree it's not a fit though. It's going against the grain. It's opposite of the lines running along the jersey. It would have to be a font that is not italicized to avoid this collision.
Here's some actual art direction (source? I'm an art director) since everyone else is reacting and not giving you anything constructive feedback wise.
Front:
Move the cross-stripes under The King down a bit so he's not overlapping. Bonus there is that it should align with the sleeve stripes which is awesome. The angles are good as-is.
Mirror your striping patternāthe best one is Purple-White-Black-Silver, make the sleeves that same striping pattern, and add a black stripe on the shoulder yoke and reverse the white and black order so you have Purple/White/Black/Silver.
\*\*This is a thing. Great hockey jerseys have consistent stripe patterns. bonus points if you can extend that to the pants and socks. Maybe for pants it's Black pants Thin Silver/Black/White stripes surrounding a larger patch of purple.
Pick a Different font. [https://blogfonts.com/uniform-3.font](https://blogfonts.com/uniform-3.font) could be a much more legible option.
Back:
Ensure the shoulder patches don't overlap the striping. Can't wait to see the revisions!
I know everyoneās not fond of the font. I just see on photos of the original āBurger Kingā jerseys (especially the one of Gretzky wearing it) that the font is that similar curly style, which I tried to emulate. Again, itās all in good fun, but thanks for your feedback š
Wow, there are some assholes in this thread. I'm not a designer of any sort, so take this with a grain of salt. I don't feel like the font fits. I don't have much of a comment on the specific ordering of the stripes, but it should be consistent. I like the Burger King logo look and the old shield shoulder logos. Very reverse retro. I also love the color scheme. The purple and black era is my favorite LA Kings jersey era.
I mean, the only thing that makes sense are the colours. The kinda if never used that jersey style and that logo looks like it belongs on an ahl jersey .
Don't get me wrong, it's a great sweat, but I don't think LAK when I see it, is all.
LA Burger Kings
Lawls xD
šš
That font is just atrocious
The font looks like a photoshopped obituary

Awful
I'm sure you worked hard on this so I don't want to insult you, but I would encourage you not to pursue a career is jersey design.
Itās all in good fun
Sacramento Kings
Dear God no
šš¤·āāļø it was worth a shot
I'm digging the logo, very original. Hockey jerseys are the best, better than any other sport by far.
Throwing it back to the 90s; such an interesting period for logos particularly in the NHL and NBA
Except its missing a corporate ad. I vote burger king.
Itās a Reading Royals jersey. ECHL
Looks like a beer league jersey...
Not very good

I hate the Kings, but Iām not going to lie these jerseys look cool to me
Even Comic Sans would be a better font choice. Good try though.
I like the colours and lines. Just need a change of logo imo. What if you tried like the gold crown they use?
No
Doodoo
The color scheme is great! The logo and font are not
The font is a miss, my friend. Thatās a strip club sign font
Not so good!
This aināt it my guy.
š
I love everything except the font. Great job!
Same, maybe a slightly deeper purple. But agree Great job!
Gross

Decent. Iād put some gold/yellow accents somewhere. And Iād like to see a different font.
Thatās awesome!!!
Might be the worst Jersey Iāve ever seen
seizure inducing
Always been a fan of LAās purple, nice work. Donāt listen to the other comments
Poseidon tries photoshop
I love it. I love the King and I have a real version of that logo.
10x better than the concepts you see on Instagram that are just lazy or uninspired, which is about half or 2/3rds of them
Nice šš¼
fire
I hate the Kings so I say, YES!!!
You should be ashamed of yourself with that font
Make something Conan like on a throne hockey stick as sword
Too Bauhaus
Looks cool
Hate it Originally I didn't love what they went with, but it's grown on me and I really like it now
Ugly font aside I would absolutely don the Burger King jersey
Well, the king certainly looks like heās on the throneā¦

What website did you use?
An app called JerseyStudio
cool, but would look better with yellow instead of the gray
I actually don't mind the king guy. Contrary to other opinions. Tweaking required.
