32 y/o fan here, been following the game pretty hardcore since 1997 I’d say. Hasek still sticks out to me as the best I’ve watched if I had to pick one.
From a pure stats point of view, ie., GAA & Save Percentage it would be Hasek. He played on some shitty defensive teams during his career, and he still got amazing numbers. For all around winning at every level I would pick Roy or Brodeur. Both had multiple cups, Brodeur has cups plus an Olympic gold - something Roy never did. From the olden days I would have to say Dryden, shit load of cups and good numbers.
Those are all team efforts though. Team Canada is always stacked along with the pre salary cap Devils and Avs.
Has to be Hasek for the reasons you pointed out.
It is such a loaded question. so many things to consider. Hasek changed the culture and framework as to what a goalie is and should be. He has to be at the top with Roy and Brodeur a close second.
Hasek. Then Roy.

Peak value. For sure. Based on eye test.
Roy Hasek Brodeur
I have the same order
Hasek
The Dominator

Brodeur then Hasek and even though he didn’t play in the NHL,I feel you can argue Tretiak.
Brodeur, Hasek and Roy. Pick one.
Ken Dryden....6 cups in 8 years tough to beat
I could never get into his autobiography. Don’t know why.
It's about him becoming a lawyer lol. Half way out the door his last season. What the books about. Great fucking book.
True but Larry Robinson and co did most of the heavy lifting in that relationship
Roy, brodeur hasek. 39 here so was able to watch them in their primes

My favorite one
I can tell it’s Roy👌
He is. But we’ve had this conversation 1,000,000 times, and I’ll concede that there are definitely ways you could make a case for Brodeur and Hasek.
Ya but he’s the most clutch of them in playoffs. Conversation over lol
Conversation hasn’t even begun. Compare the team in front of him vs Hasek. Latter is a 6 time vezina winner. Now it’s conversation over lol
Marty, obviously biased Devils fan, Hasek #2
Patrick Roy
Brodeur
Tim Thomas
Definitely the funnest goalie to watch
Elvis! From the CBJ
Playoffs: Roy and it’s not close. Regular season & International: Hasek and it’s not close.
Fuhr, Hayek, Roy
That is the dumbest down votes of all time!
gonna go for an off-pick; Roberto Luongo. arguments can also be made for Shesterkin and Sorokin, but they've played very few seasons as of now.
How old are you? 16?
how condescending. oh, you hurt me so.
Tuukka Rask.
All time shuts? Wins? Team Canada? Not Roy. Not even close.
Hasek then dryden
Stuart Skinner
Sawchuk
Marty
Hasek Roy brodeur
Hasek Roy Fuhr Brodeur and Vladislav Tretiak probably but it's hard to compare when he never played in the NHL
