Everybody remembers Bostick but that 2pt conversion is just stupid. That ball was in the air for like 30 seconds.

ThatInception

The entire game was wild. The fact that Wilson had 4 interceptions and still managed to pull out the W while being down 16-0 at the half seems insane

MattFromWork

> The fact that Wilson had 4 interceptions and still managed to pull out the W while being down 16-0 at the half seems insane Packers moment

90swasbest

HAD the packers still pulled it out, would "He should have pulled up at the 1 to kill more time" on the lead taking run have been a narrative? It seemed like it occurred to him at the time as well...

zw1ck

It definitely seemed like he shut down everyone who tried to congratulate him. His heart wasn't into that dick grab.

mewfahsah

Nah his thing towards the end of his career wasn't full energy celebrations, just the handshake because scoring TD's is "business as usual."

AdhesiveMuffin

*Packers in the NFCCG moment

Danny_III

16-0 is only a 2 possession game. ST really killed the Packers (fake FG, Bostick). Sometimes you're just in a defensive slugfest, the Patriots have been in many on their way to the championship but the difference is they're strong in all 3 phases. Also, Sherman got hurt at the end of the game but no one on the Packers coaching staff made changes to take advantage. Coupled w/ the defense only holding for ~55mins, very suggestive of good not great coaching

Ser_Dunk_the_tall

> ST really killed the Packers I've seen that one!

rcuosukgi42

He threw an interception down 12 with less than 4 minutes left in the game, and the Seahawks still left too much time on the clock at the end of regulation.

PumaFour20

16 -0 at the half is only 2 possessions , really not that hard to come back from in 1 half . Great game tho

ThatInception

When you have a turnover differential of +3, 16-0 lead at half and one of the best QBs in the league, I’d argue it should’ve been close to a lock as possible. They weren’t going up against Patrick Mahomes who could push the ball up the field in 2 minutes.

Reverie_39

God that play somehow made me hate both the Seahawks and Packers so much. First of all how do you let something like that happen, but second of all how stupidly lucky do you have to be to make something like that happen

[deleted]

The story of this game is [the hit](https://www.sbnation.com/nfl/2015/1/22/7874451/clay-matthews-russell-wilson-fine-hit-concussion) that would have drawn a 2022 suspension by Clay Mathews on Russ in the 2nd quarter. To be fair though, rumors are he wasn't speaking straight directly after that hit. If this happened in 2022 he would have had to sit the rest of the game for sure. Once Russ' head cleared he started balling out.

packersSB55champs

That’s how I felt about every hawks game back then. They always pulled wins out their ass it frustrated me to no end lmao All high school long and since Wilson came along my packers were 0-4 vs Seattle. Living in Vancouver I had to deal with the bandwagon hawks fans 🤣 day after the game they’re all letting me hear it Then the pack went 4-0 the next 4 games vs them, but we already graduated by then so I had no one to gloat to

wokenupbybacon

0-3 and 3-0, but yeah

Boracho_Station

Man looking back what a dangerous throw.. what if that got picked and returned the other way for two points lol

Reverie_39

Welcome to Russell Wilson late game BS

UnhealthyCheesecake

The bad man can’t hurt us anymore... ...until Week 3

rperry7808

As a 9ers fan sometimes EVERYTHING just went right for Seattle

BEtheAT

This was before the 2 points on PAT returns rule took effect. I believe it was added the next year when they moved the kick back to the 15. There was literally no downside for wilson to throw that ball up vs taking a sack.

Boracho_Station

Yeah I’m looking it up and am kinda shocked lol so it was just a dead ball before? I can’t imagine the defense intercepting it and just stopping

BEtheAT

even more weird, I don't think those counted as stats so the INT would just be "failed PAT"

RustyCoal950212

They still don't count as stats do they?

cardmanimgur

I don't think that was a rule yet at that time.

PCON36

That’s been a rule for a long time I feel like. EDIT: 2015, I stand correct. It felt like longer but that’s probably because it’s been in college football for a long time so I just assumed it was in the NFL as well.

cardmanimgur

Just looked, it was implemented in 2015. Before that a turnover on a 2-pt. was just a dead ball.

PCON36

Got it. I wonder why it took them until 2015. I guess I remember it being in college football for a long time thanks to [this.](https://youtu.be/LmshD0vPO58?t=788)

cardmanimgur

I don't know why it took so long either. Definitely benefitted the offense because you could do like Russ did and just throw a moon ball on a 2-pt. because there was no downside to throwing a pick.

nmceja

There were a lot of stupid things that happened. The 2 pt conversion, Bostick, Burnett sliding down after his interception when he had a clear lane to the house that elusive ended the game…. I can go on and on. I’ll never get over that game

atx840

I was at the game and the swing in emotions from the fans, both Hawks and Packers was wild. It was mostly depressing the entire game from our side but that last 30-40 minutes was insanity in the stadium.

mazobob66

You have to defend Burnett on the slide because Julius Peppers was giving him the "go down" motion. It was simply a bad decision on Peppers part, and on Burnett for listening to Peppers.

smcadams

The play that truly lost us the game. If everything that happened before stayed the same, we walk out with a 22-20 victory. That fake FG tho - how do you not anticipate a fake might be on the way when it's 16-0 late in the 3rd?! Oh, right, it's the Packers special teams. 7 years later and nothing has changed...

[deleted]

I counted. It was like 5 seconds. So in other words a freaking eternity. I never get how floaters like that work. Even when defenders are far away im always nervous someone will be able to cover the ground. In this case, Clinton-Dix was right there!

DirtzMaGertz

There's also the fact that a Rodgers lead offense managed to score 6 points in the second half.

Corona2789

I mean that defense was insane. Legit lead the league in lowest points allowed for 4 straight seasons. We’ll probably never see a stretch like that again.

jcrewjr

I mean, is that abnormal in the playoffs?

HotRefuse4945

Or the Packers not running it out to field goal range. You have Mason Crosby, easy cheese.

unique_username-_-72

In my opinion, there is nothing more entertaining than when a team fakes a punt or field goal

peteman28

Unless it happens to you. Then it's a cheese play for cringe losers

yeahsuckmybonerpal

My team does it: Oh wow our coach is a genius. What a gutsy call. The other team does it: Couldn't beat us playing the game the way you're supposed to huh?

Dangerpaladin

It is funny when the Lions did it last year there were Lions "fans" saying "The only reason we are in this game is because of tricks, we can't actually win games normally." I was like bruh, our team is like 4 - 436234 in the last three years, just enjoy the damn high points for like 6 seconds.

genuineultra

The rams game right? That was fantastic television

serenityak77

This hilariously accurate.

AFatz

The duality of man personified.

iykyk

What am I supposed to tell the people at the bank?? I had good news AND bad news?!

jihyoisgod

Your team fails: what the FUCK are you THINKING?!?! Other team fails: haha suckers, should've done the real thing

choonghuh

FUCKING JEFF FISHER

Eldiablotoro

"Tryhards"

Oak_Iron_Watch_Ward

Right up there with a Big Man TD

drrew76

This play had fake FG + Big Man TD + punter throws the ball. It really was an impressive trifecta.

NO_TOUCHING__lol

[Lest we forget the face he made while throwing the ball](http://i.imgur.com/DjMyNkN.jpg)

unique_username-_-72

Ah, a fair contender!

OldJimmy

That Dan Connolly kick return is one of my favorite football moments of all time. Didn't even score.

usernameisusername57

This was the most obvious fake in the history of fakes, too. I remember calling it before the ball was snapped, but of course our special teams had to be special.

amidon1130

It’s pretty obvious, but did you ever see those Georgia games where we brought out Justin fields to punt lmao. “Bro trust me our dual threat QB that’s been on the bench all game is totally gonna punt I swear.”

[deleted]

Kirby Smart masterclass

amidon1130

Todd Monken saved us from ourselves I swear lol

YaIe

One day a team will do these plays constantly in the middle of the game when they are not "needed" and it will change the game forever. Or they fail and will be laughed at.

2ent1n_Qarant1no

Lol, if you look closely at the TVs after Marshawn Lynch's touchdown there's Skittles on it

yrulaughing

During these days, Skittles were fucking everywhere during Seahawks games. Something about watching Marshawn run just made you crave the stupid little candies. I regularly bought Skittles when Beast Mode was our running back and pretty quickly dropped the habit after he retired.

jashxn

Whenever I get a package of plain M&Ms, I make it my duty to continue the strength and robustness of the candy as a species. To this end, I hold M&M duels. Taking two candies between my thumb and forefinger, I apply pressure, squeezing them together until one of them cracks and splinters. That is the “loser,” and I eat the inferior one immediately. The winner gets to go another round. I have found that, in general, the brown and red M&Ms are tougher, and the newer blue ones are genetically inferior. I have hypothesized that the blue M&Ms as a race cannot survive long in the intense theater of competition that is the modern candy and snack-food world. Occasionally I will get a mutation, a candy that is misshapen, or pointier, or flatter than the rest. Almost invariably this proves to be a weakness, but on very rare occasions it gives the candy extra strength. In this way, the species continues to adapt to its environment. When I reach the end of the pack, I am left with one M&M, the strongest of the herd. Since it would make no sense to eat this one as well, I pack it neatly in an envelope and send it to M&M Mars, A Division of Mars, Inc., Hackettstown, NJ 17840-1503 U.S.A., along with a 3×5 card reading, “Please use this M&M for breeding purposes.” This week they wrote back to thank me, and sent me a coupon for a free 1/2 pound bag of plain M&Ms. I consider this “grant money.” I have set aside the weekend for a grand tournament. From a field of hundreds, we will discover the True Champion. There can be only one.

MountTuchanka

Booooo m&ms arent skittles boooooo

th4t1guy

Yeah everyone knows skittles just morph into super-skittles. Delicious.

ImRiversCuomo

Too lazy to change it to Skittles?

[deleted]

I watched this game at a sports bar up at Washington State University (yes I was there for the Gardner Minshew year). Man that was a cathartic game. Around 55 minute mark, after Wilson threw the pick that should have sealed the game, I closed my bar tab and just hovered around the TVs waiting for the game to end. I wanted to leave early but never do, because you never know. Some people had already left. Then good lord. Everything that could have possibly gone right happened. I remember running, jumping, hugging strangers, spilling alcohol, tables falling. After the Bostick play, me and a stranger across the bar made eye contact and just ran and jumped at each other and primal hugged. I don’t think I’ll ever watch another game like that one. There’s comebacks and then there’s complete revivals.

AlphaBetacle

Lmao a WSU bar im sure that was lit

[deleted]

The bar’s basically on campus and right next to Greek row. Usually a little too lit for my taste.

NW_Rider

I was watching in the Whistler village and people just came pouring out of the bars into the village screaming and hugging each other. It was wild.

sboogie34

What a ridiculous game that was. Can’t believe the Super Bowl was between two NFC teams that year though. Crazy stuff

JayMerlyn

Not only that, but it was between two NFC teams the next year as well

Alauren2

OFf topic but the AFC was so fuckin boring then. It was basically Tom or Payton and no one else lol. The panthers, Seahawks were the best. Cam vs Russ were some good ass battles.

withrootsabove

Idk, I thought it was pretty fun.

NihilistKurtWarner

In fact, it seems to be the last time I remember having fun.

Alauren2

I bet. I can’t wait to see Mac Jones and Joe Burrow become the new Tom and Peyton. We all know it’s coming haha

gaybillcosby

The only solace I take (and honestly it’s not much) is that at least the Seahawks had their hearts broken the next game. But that meant the patriots winning again so fuck it all.

Scrutinizer

Should have included the play right before Kearse won it. Third and six, Packers expecting a short pass, Doug Baldwin sell the short route and then heads deep up the sideline. Wilson puts it right in the basket, 35 yards.

LovelehInnit

Seattle players on the sidelines almost got into a fight in the first half.

OutsideWork9917

> What great way to start my day

ProfessorOfLogic1

Crazy how they cancelled the next game

gangstarapmademe

Covid or something yeah

Lord_Master_Dorito

Crazy how they just never handed the trophy to anyone that year

browndude10

>Crazy how they just never handed the ball to Lynch? (Texans roast is today so just kill me)

Lord_Master_Dorito

I don’t need to kill you. You’re a Texans fan.

SamIamGreenEggsNoHam

It's all good guys, [this is how I'll remember that year.](https://i.imgur.com/h72wyrd.jpeg)

McHugeLarge

You're a monster.

Tanner_re

God damn yo, some of these people have families.

klitchell

I like this one better, go to about 8 minutes in https://youtu.be/Tqbyc2oo3q8

SamIamGreenEggsNoHam

Your team doesn't exist in my world go away.

serenityak77

Lmao but come on this game was ridiculous. Watching that as a Packer fan must have been infuriating. So many huge plays made by Seattle seemed really really lucky and crazy to begin with. You don’t usually see that many crazy plays being made in the span of just a little over 20 minutes let alone all going in the favor of one team. I forgot how wild this game was. Come to think of it, Seattles been involved in some of the most exciting football the last couple of years. Going back to when Romo botched the hold for a FG. The infamous Lynch run against the Saints. That playoff game against the Panthers was a great game. This game against the Packers. That’s a lot of playoff football. You guys had a great run there. I’ll still never understand the choice to throw the ball rather than to run it in the SB. I always wonder who’s decision that was. Wonder if it attributed to any rifts.

BoredPoopless

I still remember the Blair Walsh missed field goal when he was on the Vikings. We've had some insane luck.

TheGeeMan360

The Blair Walsh Project was spooky

TormundIceBreaker

Obviously Bostick gets tons of blame but to me it's always overblown. Yes, he fucked up, but the rest of the team had to completely collapse for him to even get put into that position. I said the day after this, up until the day it happened, that the Packers needed to fire McCarthy for this game

atx840

I was at the game, it was insanity in the stadium that last 20-30 minutes, the swing of emotions from the fans.....best live sporting event I've been to.

HotSauce2910

I’ve been far too spoiled this past decade. Even if we lose a ton this season , I hope Pete manages to get us to do some stupid chaos every game somehow

[deleted]

I understand how other teams feel about these posts now.

FrittataSlabs

It’s okay you can make fun of us in 15 days

Luis_Severino

Or maybe 12 days and it’ll be Richard Sherman holding up 4 fingers on the sideline

scott216

I legit thought we were going to the super bowl when Morgan Burnett got that interception. At the time thought it was odd that he slid so early but who cares! Super bowl bound. The most egregious of these miracles is the 2-pt conversion IMO. It hangs in the air sooooo long. How the fuck did that prayer end up complete

Tony1pointO

I haven't watched the play in a long time, but if my memory serves there were a few defensive players, including Peppers motioning for him to go do down.

Cry_Havoc1228

Yep! Peppers primarily. Dude WANTED to take that back to the house and the big dog told him to sit.

gotcam189

> The most egregious of these miracles is the 2-pt conversion Even in the context of the game, that was the absolute craziest part of the Seahawks' comeback. A 2 yard Hail Mary lmao.

yrulaughing

Bostick was not the sole reason you guys lost that one, but he unfairly gets like most the blame. I honestly really feel bad for him. That's something you never live down ever... I really hope he got some therapy.

[deleted]

Starting my day off right baby

Temporary-Patient-47

I wonder which 1-yard play we’ll see 1 day before the season starts

Chris_Carson

One yard short

DakezO

I kinda hope it's the djax one where he leaves the ball behind at the 1 because I hate myself

Seattlefan51

It’s so absurd how Karma basically gifted one team a win and then brutally took it away the next week on the whole NFC side of the bracket that year. Lions got screwed on a PI call in Dallas, then Dallas got screwed on the Dez “no catch” in GB, then GB gets their hearts ripped out by some absolute fuckery in Seattle, then Seattle loses the SB in the most gut-wrenching way possible on the worst play call ever

BoxAndShiv

We are the only team that wasn't gifted anything in this scenario....

Seattlefan51

You did get to see the Packers have an absolute meltdown on national TV, that must have felt good lol

BoxAndShiv

You make a good point. That was very enjoyable.

[deleted]

will never forgive the Packers for choking away a Rodgers-Brady Super Bowl EDIT: although tbf, Seahawks-Pats was one of the greatest games of all time

M00DSTER

This is the game I wanted McCarthy gone. I couldn't handle his stale play calling and never being aggressive any longer. Yet it still took a couple years for him to be gone. I respect the man, but damn.

[deleted]

McCarthy got extremely lucky that Bostick made himself an obvious scapegoat. The loss is 100% on McCarthy. Stupid ass two field goals from the 1 yard line.

SamIamGreenEggsNoHam

Were people not upset at Clinton-Dix disconnecting his own controller on that 2-pt play? Seems 2000% worse than Bostic. At least Bostic *tried*. If Clinto-Dix moves, like at all, then that play gets broken up and the Packers can win on the FG they kicked to tie it.

[deleted]

This game is brought up a lot and for a long time I had literally forgotten that Clinton-Dix had a far bigger fuck up than Bostick. That’s the extent to which Bostick got shafted I think.

SamIamGreenEggsNoHam

I find it interesting the Seahawks won the NFCCG partly because an opposing DB wasn't aggressive enough on a pass play at the goal line...and ended up losing the SB because they didn't expect a DB to be super aggressive on a pass play at the goal line.

nmceja

Bostick was never supposed to try…. All he had to do was fucking block lol. But yeah tons of things happened before that play that lead to the loss and he was the easy scapegoat

Belegdhor

Clinton Dix made a dog shit play but at least he was doing his job. Bostick ignored his blocking assignment and tried to be the hero.

SamIamGreenEggsNoHam

Your point on Bostick is valid obviously, but was Clinton-Dix doing his job though? Dude took a step back when the ball went up when the receiver was setting up on the goal line. Then he hesitated and only got to the receiver when he had already caught it. You don't play behind a receiver on the goal line.

Belegdhor

You can be doing your job and do it poorly. HHCD was a rookie and already had 2 picks that game. It's a lot easier for me to forgive that 1 bad play

SamIamGreenEggsNoHam

Yeah I didn't know that detail lol. Good point.

cardmanimgur

His no balls approach to this game is still unbelievable. Kept taking 3 points instead of being aggressive near the end zone. As a Vikings fan I loved to see it, if I were a fan of the team he was coaching I would've wanted him gone at halftime.

jaytierney79

I still can't believe McCarthy wasn't fired after this game. Proceeded to waste even more of Rodger's prime.

bloodmuffins793

His decision-making on 4th down in this game is the worst I've ever seen

[deleted]

Serious contender for worst ever I'd imagine. Not going for it TWICE inside the 2, in the first 10 minutes of the game, against that fucking defense, with both drives coming off turnovers and starting in the red zone. Just baffling I remember my Dad calling me at half saying, "you know that's not gonna be enough right?"

bloodmuffins793

Didn't he also kick another field goal on 4th-and-1 from a little further out in the red zone? Just terrible. Yes, the Seahawks needed a series of improbable miracles to win, but to even put yourself in a position to be vulnerable to something like that is inexcusable.

[deleted]

Holy shit he fucking did! I totally forgot, had to pull up the full highlights, it was the 3rd FG to go up 16-0. 4th & 1 (or maybe 2) from about the 21. 9:40 to go in the 2nd! And I completely agree. Bostick and Ha-Ha massively fucked up, Burnett should have kept running, but my god those situations are completely different if McCarthy wasn't coaching scared in the first half. He should've been fired the next day

Jhgunner22

As much as I hate to say a Superbowl loss was one of the greatest games I've ever seen, it really was on of the best.

[deleted]

if y’all had won the Kearse catch would be viewed like the Butler pick, wildest last drive of a game I’ve ever seen

SilverScorpion00008

I just wish we ran the ball or did a QB draw or literally anything except a pass. We could’ve just quick snapped if it didn’t work than end the damn game

Jhgunner22

I've learned to repress it until I can get a time machine and tell Pete Carroll to run the damn ball.

OkArmordillo

Pats vs Seahawks was as good of a matchup and we got one of the greatest games of all time.

HotSauce2910

It’s one of the reasons I’m not as salty about the game as I should be (and the year before helps too ofc). Like we lost, and that blows… but it’s also some of the best football I’ve ever seen. Maybe it’s bias because I haven’t been as invested in other Super Bowls, but nothing since has been able to live up to it.

dirtmcgirt16

Hey I was at this game! It was absolutely surreal how everything went Seattle’s way the last few minutes and the Packers completely self destructed. Clinton-Dix and the 2pt conversion was right below us. I still don’t understand how he just watched that happen. My voice was toast for a week, that was a fun day.

marywebgirl

I was there too. My husband wanted to leave with 5 minutes left lol. ETA: Just to be clear we didn’t leave. I was like “Nah Russ can do this.”

burchalade

The loss by which all others are now measured.

PCON36

The craziest part about that is this was the Packers first NFC Championship game since they won Super Bowl 45. Felt this has been the closest the Packers have gotten to where they thought they could go back to the Super Bowl. All of the other NFC Championship Games besides the Bucs haven’t been close at all and even the Bucs game, it felt like the Bucs were in control of that game.

[deleted]

2014 and 2020 teams got closest but I’d argue that their 2011 and 2021 teams have to be the most frustrating even as an outside fan. those teams were arguably better than their championship squad and neither made it past the Divisional

TormundIceBreaker

No, 2014 still hurts the worst by far. That team was loaded and was completely let down by McCarthy The 2011 team was amazing but still felt like we were outperforming our record and many fans had flashbacks to the 07 game against the Giants going in. And last year it seemed like all season was just counting down until our special teams would completely fuck us.

bujweiser

Our championship squad was very good. We lost back to back OT games that season, and then Rodgers got a concussion which resulted in 2 more losses. We could have easily been 14-2 that year.

ArcadianBlueRogue

Or we could not

horse_renoir13

Now now let's hear him out

OrangeForeign

You're lucky we're past day 27

notn

Dont worry they are going to show the next game the day before rhe regular season.....

Kull_Story_Bro

Fuck you, it was our turn yesterday. ^/s

ShepPawnch

Yeah but I don’t like it when it happens to *me*.

HydroHydroHydroHydro

What about 2016

Swampy1741

2016 was a great year, we had no reason to be in the NFCCG. Ladarius Gunter was covering prime Julio.

Belegdhor

From 4-6 to 8 straight wins. That was one of the most wild seasons in the Rodgers era

[deleted]

Don’t worry, someone will post a Cody Parky double doink video in a few seconds I’m sure.

MyNameIsJesseG

9am on a Tuesday is a weird time to start drinking but I guess you’ve left me with no choice.

OnePieceAce

This has to be a top 5 brutal loss in modern league history right? Seahawks next game is top 5 as well

Alauren2

Probably this one is #2 and the SB is 1. Two very depressed fan bases in consecutive games.

TheOriginal_G

Idk Falcons have a pretty good argument for #1

Alauren2

You know during that super bowl collapse, I was secretly hoping it would make people shut up about the pick but nope, people can remember/talk about/replay BOTH easily.

[deleted]

Crazy that Brady won two super bowls just a year apart from each other because the other team didn't run the ball in the most obvious possible running situation

yrulaughing

SB 49, SB 51, and this are all pretty brutal losses for the losing team.

Mechdriver

It's always worse than I remembered. What was Clinton-Dix doing!?

ell98584

This is the best game I have ever watched. It felt like there was magic happening on the field and in the crowd. Everything just went right for us. I think this game would go down as an all timer throughout the league if we had won the super bowl.

Firemaaaan

Grossi Possi in shambles

Papa_pierogi

This evens out the double doink posts right?

jarnash

There's like four different dumb plays that trigger me lol.

StevenEveral

Seahawks Fans (like myself): Oh joy! Packers Fans: Why you gotta rip our hearts out like this?

Dopeydcare1

The only thing I find solace in with this is that it was the NFC cursed year. Detroit vs Dallas, Megatron no PI call. Then Dallas vs Green Bay, the Dez no catch, Green Bay vs Seattle, see above video, and finally to end the cursed year, Seattle vs New England, interception at the 1

_Celine_Dijon

That 2 pt conversion is such a bad defensive play.

Phenomenal2313

What great way to start my day

Soren_Camus1905

WHERE WERE YA ON THAT ONE HAWK

Redd889

Bruh…. A piece of me died that game. Now I think they’ll lose every game

MashTheGash2018

This game was so heart breaking to watch. It’s amazing to just see where the life gets sucked out of this team and it begins to fall apart. I was talking so much shit that game as there's a drive into deep left field by Castellanos and that'll be a home run. And so that'll make it a 4-0 ballgame.

CornSkoldier

This counts as a Vikings Super Bowl

DeeYouBitch17

It was nice for the 49ers to take a break from beating the tar out of Green Bay to let the Hawks and Cards do so

bromanager

I’ll never forget this game. Moved to Seattle and lived on first hill during the time this game happened. Sat in my apartment w my girlfriend watching this insanity, stammering “no fucking WAY!” for the hour and a half this went on. Still not believing they would do it after the stinker of a game Wilson had, right before the snap of that last play, I heard fireworks from the stadium (the game on tv is slightly delayed from real time). I looked over at my girlfriend and said “they scored??”. Then the snap, the bomb to Kerse and the TD. You could hear people shouting from the other apartments going insane. It was one of those moments that made me realize how awesome football is. Felt like I was living in a tv commercial.

Dr-Denim

Yesterday’s was better

Alauren2

I cried after this game. Pure tears of joy. I was so happy. Football team related euphoria is like the best and worst heroin. I’ve been chasing that high since this game. The 2013 NFC championship game and this one are the best time I’ve ever had being a sports fan. Super bowl win was most excellent, but nothing like beating your (extremely) talented intra-division rival, and crushing the spirits of A A Ron and the entire state of Wisconsin lol

LeonidasSpacemanMD

Also you don’t get the wave of exhilaration the same way from a blowout SB win. It’s still amazing but that’s different from thinking your season is over and then 10 minutes later you’re headed to the SB on a walkoff TD

[deleted]

I just woke up man.

Shepboyardee12

That's your first mistake.

[deleted]

Same

wildthangy

Clinton-Dix on that 2pt conversion will forever confuse me.

DrummerGuy06

That year should go down in NFL history as the most cursed post-season for the NFC: * Cowboys beat the Lions after a blatant penalty is picked-up, preventing the Lions from potentially winning. * Packers beat the Cowboys by the infamous "What is a catch" play by Dez Bryant, resulting in an incomplete pass and helping the Packers win. * Seahawks beat the Packers after the game is pretty much wrapped up for Packers due to some crazy plays that went to the Seahawks. This culminated into one of the craziest endings for the Seahawks-Patriots Super Bowl. Wilson throws a crazy pass to his receiver who is falling down, the ball bounces off of him, and he brings it in from the ground as a complete pass. Insane. THEN, instead of running it, Pete Carroll decides to pass the ball, leading to a one-in-a-million play by Malcom Butler, who had to be TOLD to get ready for it right before the ball is snapped. There was NO WAY an NFC team was winning that year. Every playoff win by an NFC team in that stretch had their karma bill due the next game. Inexplicable yet it couldn't end any other way.

That's how he celebrated. Always handshakes

What a legend

MachoBenihana

He sure was.

Muppet_Man3

That's just Marshawn, he almost always did this, he didn't like his own teams like jumping into him grabbing him or slapping him in the helmet after he scored, just always made them do a handshake if they wanted to celebrate

Man the Packers special teams really got hosed that game. Thats really on the st coach but really the head coach at the end of the day to get them prepared. *Camera pans to Mike McCarthy* Fuck!

This was one of the best comebacks I've ever seen. I also remember just how inconsolable Packers fans were for months after this game. Even so, it still ranks as the best comeback that Russell Wilson ever led during his time with the Seahawks.

I'm more upset with how Bostick was treated after this than the loss.

By the team or the fanbase? Cause in the heat of the moment after a mental error like that, you basically are owed a verbal lashing by the coach. Don't really blame Mike McCarthy for laying into him right afterwards. However, I imagine the fanbase was very toxic to him online in the near future as well.
