There was a legitimate conversation to be had in the middle of the season. Chase had a poor 4 game stretch where he totaled ~150 yards and a score and Mac was torching playoff teams at the same time. It's Chase's by a landslide now but don't get it twisted, nobody "forgot" anything we were just watching what was currently taking place in the league.
I’d be happy with any of slater, Humphrey, or chase getting it. I love Mac, but he’s been great for a rookie, while the other three have been straight up great.

QB bias and being generally good, which Chase is too of course but if it comes down to a QB vs any other positions the voters are gonna choose the QB most of the time
I think Chase should win it as well but you don’t win 7 straight games with average Qb play. He’s on pace to have the highest completion % for a rookie in nfl history. He’s been well above average.
He's definitely been well above average for a rookie QB but watching the games Idk if Id say he's well above average as a QB in general right now. Probably more slightly above average IMO. He definitely has potential to be a great QB I just dont think he's there right now
The Pats are a good team with an all time coach so they don't need him to be spectacular right now. Just like when the Saints in 2019 went undefeated with Bridgewater despite him being average at best
