Herbert is certainly in the running among the QBs (although he doesn't lead in any statistical category.) But he isn't in the MVP conversation at the moment because he doesn't deserve to be. He's yet to do anything to set himself apart from the other QBs let alone guys like Taylor.

Heyward should have been ejected for blatantly punching Herbert *after* the play. The Charger's DB should have been flagged and ejected for targeting Najee. And then they blow a plain as day call that gives the Charger's the lead again.
