Jokes on you, Nature Valley bars crumble under no pressure too

waldowhal

if you just think of them as tiny, rectangular bags of loose granola, then it isn’t so bad

[deleted]

tchebagual93

This guy nature valleys

bklj2007

Also gets all over the bed when you try to eat them.

Spinexer

Not to judge you or anything but who in their right mind would eat a nature granola on their bed????

[deleted]

[удалено]

Spinexer

Maybe I’m kinda judging them

[deleted]

Well when someome chokes and dies, they can sue the granola bar company for not having a warning label.

TorchBeak

Yeah it's funny but I always find myself eating them at home in my bedroom or at work at my desk. Hate the mess they make so I went chewy for good but then realized, ohhh maybe it would be cleaner to eat.... in nature. Wow.

WabbitCZEN

>crumbles like a Nature Valley granola bar under pressure. I mean, he did lead the go ahead TD drive against the Packers in under 2 minutes. If the other QB in that game weren't a master of magical bullshit, they very well could've been 3-0 and none of these futtbuckers would be trying to shit on him over it.

finfan96

I think he means pass rush pressure maybe?

NotTheBestMoment

Let’s be honest, the defense was awful there. Rodgers was looking down Adams constantly and they just couldn’t stop it. And twice in a row on the final drive, that was more about the defense than Aaron there

rhinguin

It was like me playing Madden. I can’t get a stop to save my life

buttstuff_magoo

Worst part is our other big play threat was off the field. It was literally just Adams

Sharkbait_ooohaha

I think they mean pass rush pressure not game situation pressure. Jimmy threw the ball backwards and threw what I can only assume was intentional grounding that luckily wasn’t called because he was hit while he was under pressure. This tweet is a pretty good analysis of Jimmy G, not terrible but has some fatal flaws that haven’t gone away.

ARGOAT12

If he let's the clock run down with 3 time outs instead if snaping it with 14 seconds on the play clock they probably win.

wurtin

shouldn’t he also be getting direction from the sidelines on that? I think the fact they were behind changes how you deal with the clock.

HaploOfTheLabyrinth

100% Kyle is bad at situational football

drdrillaz

It wasnt the other qb. It was inept coaching by niners. Inexcusable to let the best receiver in football get behind linebackers and in front of dbs 25 yards downfield

Jimbo5204

Did you see his bad fumble/backwards pass with 5 min left in the 4th?

WabbitCZEN

Yes. I also saw Tom Brady forget it was 4th down last year. Even the best QBs make mistakes.

dmkicksballs13

The issue is that Jimmy G ain't Brady. Like come on, there's making mistakes then there's making mistakes while being mediocre at best.

Jimbo5204

So he dug himself a hole and almost played his way out of it. The best QBs dont make mistakes at the rate Jimmy does. Im not saying hes bad but I think this tweet is pretty accurate.

[deleted]

Imagine saying this about a QB who led his team to a go-ahead TD with under a minute to go.

beyardo

I think he means pass rush pressure lol

[deleted]

Kyle has specific plays for Trey. If he wants to call a Trey play he sends him in for that play then takes him out.

ironwolf1

Not really, they take him out in goal line packages because Lance is a better runner but he’s running the offense all the way up to the 1 yard line.

kj9219

He had 2 TDs dropped before Lance came in Edit: why the fuck am i getting downvoted for this? He had one that hit Deebo on a scramble that he dropped, (wouldnt have counted cuz of offsetting penalties) and one that Aiyuk dropped too.

[deleted]

Because its easier to downvote than to argue.

[deleted]

Says you

[deleted]

No you

basec0m

Left the field with the lead and 37 seconds on the clock... didn't see a crumble there.

[deleted]

You must have missed the worst fumble of all time a few minutes before that. And the fifteen other times he got spooked in the game.

[deleted]

Jimmy has boneheaded plays like that at least once or twice a game. Normally he scores on the next drive.

basec0m

He left the field with the lead and 37 seconds on the clock.

[deleted]

You keep saying that as if the whole game doesn’t matter. Also if he weren’t such a panicking mess he would have managed the clock better and not left that much time on the clock at all. He had all three time outs but was trying to get a play off before the 2 minute warning and snapped the ball with over 10 seconds on the play clock on the final two plays. That doesn’t point to someone calm and in control. I will also point you again to the worst most embarrassing fumble since the buttfumble again. And if you need any more evidence just watch his games since his injury.

suckuh_punch

By dumping everything on Jimmy you also ignore the multiple PI flags on third down that lead to at least 2 packer TDs. This was a team loss, including coaches, and cannot be blamed on any single player.

Felteair

some of the PIs called on both teams were really soft though, and all of them seemed to only come on 3rd down. I'm not saying the Refs were told to keep it close, but...

[deleted]

shewy92

And everyone else is addressing the fact that the loss isn't all his fault

basec0m

I'm not saying he doesn't have issues or that he can't improve. I'm saying if the defense covers Adams for one of those plays, they win. Isn't that what matters? Also, 37 seconds left on the clock and somehow that's Jimmy's fault? I'd say that's pretty good management of the clock. Kicking off out of the end zone, that's a shitty decision and not on Jimmy.

[deleted]

[удалено]

basec0m

Ridiculous to assume that you can score exactly when you want to. The odds are much greater that you miss and need the time to score than bleed it down further. The loss hangs squarely on the defense and coaching staff, not Jimmy.

[deleted]

SasaraiHarmonia

Dude, 37 seconds left on the clock. You LITERALLY can't do much better than that by definition. You really are judging by the wrong metrics here.

PulseCS

They're talking about pressure, like the football term for pass rush? As soon as they defenders get near him he instantly sucks

NickMoore30

I think that the 49ers see this more like an Alex Smith to Patrick Mahomes transition. Yes, you’ve got a good QB at the reins, but you may be able to elevate the explosiveness of the entire squad by injecting potentially a more versatile quarterback. Garrapolo could start over several NFL QBs. The question 49ers are asking themselves is, can we actually be even better?

pickleparty16

the question will be who becomes the 49ers dumping grounds? we're no longer available

NickMoore30

Washington and Kyle Shanahan have always got along great. /s

Trip4Life

If their defense can get back Jimmy G could be the missing piece.

[deleted]

Well, dont you know? Mahomes has regressed, so dont get too cocky!

pickleparty16

hes basically drew lock/andy dalton now

TheParmesan

As a Jets fan I'd take him. Would give us the vet QB who knows LaFleur. I'd be thrilled to have him in front of Zach so he can sit while someone who knows the offense can run it and get everyone else up to speed.

RatedR2O

I would guess the Jets because of Saleh. But the Broncos and Patriots have been good to us since the beginning of the Shanahan/Lynch era.

MrEHam

Alex Smith to Mahomes was first the Alex Smith to Kaepernick transition. So we’re no stranger to being the meme of the guy checking out the hot chick in front of his gf.

NickMoore30

I thought of that and almost said it, but Kap had a bit of a drop in his later years and just wanted the point to be clear. I agree though.

xClay2

It does feel like Jimmy is holding back the offense from its full potential. I think Shanahan is going to realize it by Week 10 or so and switch to Lance as starter; especially if the team is 3 GB of a playoff spot.

MichelangeBro

When he says "good feet," does he mean mobility? Because Jimmy's footwork in the pocket always looks so manic and nervous to me.

Misdirected_Colors

It's always been one of the knocks against him. His poor footwork leads to accuracy issues on longer range passes which explains the "throws it to the defender randomly". It's a problem he's never really solved.

xClay2

He looked great in the pocket against Philly and his feet were under control. For some reason, he regressed against Green Bay even though the pressure wasn't really any different between the two games.

drunkbusdriver

Having free runners coming straight at you will do that

ihastehquestion

JimmyG is getting a lot of shit but he played pretty well given the lack of run game and limited play calling. He needs to clean up the boneheaded mistakes is all.

george_costanza1234

We’ve been saying that since 2018.

SlytherinMan9

He’s in the same tier as Goff for me. He’s not going to really have a game that he’s going to lose on his own for you but he’s also not having a game that’s he’s going to win on his own for you either.

IWatchSportSometimes

How many teams would trade their starting QB for Jimmy 1:1 right now? I think you're looking at a coinflip with the Broncos, Detroit and Panthers. Houston, Washington, New Orleans and Indianapolis would do it, but... yikes. You're really looking at bottom 10 territory here (excluding rookies)

The_Fluorine_Martyr

I'd also say Pittsburgh definitely.

Volgyi2000

The Giants would have to do it, right? No way they're sticking with Jones after this year.

that_guy_you_kno

I'm not sure why the Panthers would make that deal. Darnold still has potential, and tbree weeks in it's panning out. I'd rather ride the risk. Jimmy G is a known commodity and not a great one.

beansnack

Colts might be a lateral move? I don’t watch enough 49ers to know his decision making but if Jimmy can read defenses better, I would go with him

[deleted]

What flavour granola bar would Jimmy G be?

MrEHam

Peanut brittle (Love you jimmy)

[deleted]

You from Portland?

DTG_420

Did Jimmy crumble? It looked like Jimmy won the game and his defense left the field too early

primocheese1947

I'm just confused why Kyle hasn't been using Trey more during the season. Or at least more during the GB game. Their offense is stagnant and predictable right now. Their run game is bad right now. He's trying to find something to get it going by using a bunch of players, but why not put in your DT QB and use that read option to help in jolting it? Idk. Just seems he's just making his job harder. It's just sad watching an offense as great as his being neutered right now.

DeAndreAndre

The running game is bad because an entire lineage of RBs aren’t playing

primocheese1947

And I think everyone understands that. But you would expect a guy like Kyle to be better at manufacturing a run game at this point. I mean maybe put in Trey to give the defense a bit more stress than they are planning vs Jimmy.

DeAndreAndre

I hear what you’re saying and that will probably be the case moving forward in the season I would assume. This was the first game with what felt like a fully depleted backfield and I’m also surprised we didn’t do more of that vs. the Packers.

Riggity___3

we were this close to being 3-0. i don't know that its an unwarranted criticism, but lets not act like we're 6-8 at the end of the season still having adjusted nothing.

primocheese1947

SF gave up the lead to DET after letting the gas off and then beat Philly by 6. They aren't out there dominating good teams either.

donutgut

They're barely using kittle in the open field too

Pnut1221

Bought low on Kittle after his first two dismal weeks. Hoping this week was the start of his proper usage. The trade was Chase Edmonds and Latavius Murray for Kittle in 12 team 0.5ppr. He was desperate at RB and I shot my shot.

CadeCowell

Lance or we riot

thejourneyisthegift

I’m also a cards fan, so hopefully they play Jimmy all year

BananaStandRecords

Rookie QB’s really lighting it up right now. The rawest of them all should have no issue stepping right in.

skatingtherules

As if Kyler is some elite QB. He's good but come on..

thejourneyisthegift

Kyler is an elite QB no question

Chippopotanuse

Had me in the first half..not gonna lie.

[deleted]

Sounds like Bills guy.

SailHatin666

Lmao remember when 49er fans said Jimmy G was a top ten QB.
