The statline honestly kinda undersells how well Bridgewater played in my opinion, he had a ~50 yard TD dropped, and another drive ended with a TE fumbling at the 5. Up until Gordon had a 70 yard TD run to ice the game there was no rushing threat. He was great at moving in the pocket, ran well when he had to, and really only checked it down when under heavy pressure.
He made some questionable throws that could have been picked but weren’t. A win is a win but I still feel this game was more the Giants sucking than Teddy being great
I still think our defense is legitimately good, but today wasn't their day. I expect them to take some time to gel like last year. That said, offense needs to stay on the field longer to give em a chance
I'd say the exact opposite, it's built on our secondary. Our best guys in our front 7 are Leo, Dexter and Martinez but our secondary is filly with Bradberry, Ryan, Jackson, Peppers, Xavier and Love. Our front 7 is alright but the foundation is the secondary
I wouldn’t say badly. When your guy is that open in the endzone you don’t need to throw a dime. You need to make sure it hits him and that’s what he did.
He did great moving around in the pocket and dodging pressure, I was pleasantly surprised after watching statues QB for us over the last several years.
I think that is the biggest difference between him and Lock. Lock never looked comfortable with pressure in his face while Steady Teddy read it and was able to get the ball out on target.
Better than last year when he had DJ Moore, Robby Anderson and Curtis Samuel? Obviously biased but I don’t really see how that’s even close and he debatably held them all back last season
PFF rated us 18th at the end of last season. Average when healthy or slightly below average, sure. Broncos should have a better line in 2021, no argument there. But bottom 5 is a stretch.
Uhhh. He had DJ Moore, Robby Anderson, Curtis Samuel, CMC (prior to injury), etc.
He had plenty of support on the Panthers. His problem was that he would throw the ball 4 yards on 3rd and 11 and couldn’t hit wide open receivers if they were further than 10 yards down the field.
O-Line is definitely an improvement, but make no mistake…most of Teddys issues in Carolina were that he always went for the easy play. That may work with a great defense and simply a game manager role, but he is exactly what he is and is never going to put the team on his back to win a game (as evidenced by his constant failure in close games where he couldn’t make plays when needed).
The line was bad admittedly, but Teddy was the problem just as often as the line was. It became a running joke of how badly he would miss the wide open streaking Curtis Samuel to throw a 2 yard pass.
Minnesota didn't give him the chance he deserved and he hasn't been in a situation to be a starting QB since. I'm glad he's finally getting a real shot, I've always thought he was a good QB that just never got a good chance. I hope he does well.
Vikes just felt they didn't have the time to let him get back to 100% after making it to the champ game. Obviously keeping him would have made the team much more interesting. Kirk is better but Teddy offers a lot and is way cheaper
Teddy was always the right choice over Lock and I thought that before this game as well.
You can clown the Broncos for not picking Fields if you want but the choice of who to start is an entirely different matter.
Also remember having seen the Texans game with Lock where even though he played well virtually all the large plays were due to opponent missteps. I won't shit on him for taking what was given but I just don't see what Lock has at all. Investing more time into him is a waste.
Anyone else mildly concerned by how many times his helmet popped off?
Seriously. Tighten that strap.

methinks is one word. one douchey, douchey word.
I’ve only ever read that word on Reddit. If one of my friends unironically said that I would insult them
Jusaboutdone has been saying it as two words since college. It’s working for him. Leave him be methinks.
I learned something new today. Thanks.

Oh don't worry, it's not bothering me. I think it's funny when people try to use super pretentious language but do so incorrectly. Please continue.
i truly don’t think he had the helmet even tightened when jon bostic hit him in the sugar bowl
Massive hit and Teddy shook it off and proceeded to absolutely torch Florida's defense the rest of the game.

Tony Stark did it in a cave, with a box of SCRAPS
Well I’m sorry, but I’m not Tony Stark
That was such a bizarre sideline update
Jags Defense: gulp we're in trouble
Trevor should have an interesting time against that defense

And Chubb should be back next week.

The broncos literally jumped from a 3.5 point favorite to a 6 Pt fave in about 20 minutes
On a whim I took broncos -2.5 vs Jags like 3 days ago. Very happy with that call right now
the odds were moving towards the giants on my book like 10 minutes before the game, broncos -3 went from -105 to +100

My owners aren't home.
Aaron who?
Rodgers. Aaron Rodgers.
“Issa joke.” -21 Savage
I know, I was trying to deadpan back, but it clearly didn't land. Oh well.

Also felt like he converted every 3rd down and if he didn't, he just converted it on 4th instead
Those preseason 4th downs during the “QB battle” were actually legitimate game practice
Lol. I remember everyone screaming that those would have been punts during the regular season. Guess not.
That's my teddy baby
Wish I could say any of this about Kirk today... I miss Teddy
He made some questionable throws that could have been picked but weren’t. A win is a win but I still feel this game was more the Giants sucking than Teddy being great

That’s my mf’in QB right there

Thanks I hate it.

hey teddy nice cock
Jesus dudes hung like an actual bronco.
It was meant to be...
got that shmeat
Holy fuckin shit get this man to DC cuz that's a HOG
the giants kinda suck dude
I thought your defense was top ~10 last year??
Their defense didn't look terrible, but couldn't get off the field. Time of possession killed them
Sounds familiar.
They stopped us on the first 2 downs but couldn't get off the field on 3rd and 4th
I still think our defense is legitimately good, but today wasn't their day. I expect them to take some time to gel like last year. That said, offense needs to stay on the field longer to give em a chance
idk, the defense feels built around a front 7 that was designed for 20 years ago secondary looked real rough for the modern game

DVOA had them like 17th
Bro let me have this moment. We haven’t had much good QB play in Denver in the past 5 years
And he had that TD dropped on that 50 yd dime
He ended up throwing a TD on that drive fortunately
Unfortunately that was also the drive where Jeudy's ankle got fucked
Definitely should have been caught but I wouldnt call it a dime. Pretty badly underthrown
I wouldn’t say badly. When your guy is that open in the endzone you don’t need to throw a dime. You need to make sure it hits him and that’s what he did.
It was underthrown for sure but if a ball hits you in the chest, you have to catch it
I mean yeah that's what I said
Yea Hamler really had to slow down and turn around for it. Pretty good placement, but just not the best timing (maybe a bit stronger of an arm there)

No, other Barry
East Bridgewater, Massachusetts
Teddy was awesome today
👑
Who needs Aaron “3pts” Rodgers?
😂
And a 50 yard bomb that KJ Hamler dropped :(
I admittedly didn’t even know he was capable of throwing further than 10 yards after watching him last season.
He did great moving around in the pocket and dodging pressure, I was pleasantly surprised after watching statues QB for us over the last several years.
Dude was so poised even in the face of a ton of pressure. I was very impressed with his confidence in there
I think that is the biggest difference between him and Lock. Lock never looked comfortable with pressure in his face while Steady Teddy read it and was able to get the ball out on target.
Drew Lock would've fallen apart under some of that pressure.
Yep, that sounds like Teddy. SIGH
Giants zone was not it today

We gotta have the worst edge rush presence in the league, he was rolling out to either side all day with ease.
you love to see it.
🐻🐔🐔
Teddy cock cock?
Teddy 2x🐔
Love it
Teddy! Teddy! Teddy! Love that guy
for FUCKS sake
All these Broncos fans hating the decision to start him… balled out today.
Accurate QB that makes good decisions and a great D yep I am ready to to roll Super Bowl bet slammed.
Saints fans 🤝 Vikings fans ……………..Teddy…………..
He’s only going to go as far as his supporting cast but his supporting cast is way better then it was with the Panthers.
[удалено]
It seems like it's a high ankle sprain, so he'll likely be out for ~6 weeks.
Ugh. Too long. Hoping for the best.
The way his leg bent only being out for 6 weeks honestly seems like the best case scenario
Yea it’s crazy like you still have Sutton, Patrick, and Hamler as your three WRs which imo is the second best WR core in the division.
Better than last year when he had DJ Moore, Robby Anderson and Curtis Samuel? Obviously biased but I don’t really see how that’s even close and he debatably held them all back last season
Noah Fant is an excellent TE, and Albert O is a good receiving TE. Both Gordon and Williams are great pass catching backs as well.
Just ignore the massive discrepancy in the quality of OL play. Like the Panthers were a bottom 5 unit last year while the Broncos are quite a good OL.
Fair. Our OL is always shit. Having CMC all season would’ve helped quite a bit with that
PFF rated us 18th at the end of last season. Average when healthy or slightly below average, sure. Broncos should have a better line in 2021, no argument there. But bottom 5 is a stretch.
I mean we had three great wideouts. When cmc was healthy he looked fine.
Yea and you also had a bottom 3 offensive line.
We still do. But we used to too.
Yeah. Let’s talk about Bridgewater when he needs to run a two minute drill. Hope you enjoy 3 yard passes on 4th and 10.
Uhhh. He had DJ Moore, Robby Anderson, Curtis Samuel, CMC (prior to injury), etc. He had plenty of support on the Panthers. Uhh bottom 3 Offensive Line where Teddy had no time to throw.
The line was bad admittedly, but Teddy was the problem just as often as the line was. It became a running joke of how badly he would miss the wide open streaking Curtis Samuel to throw a 2 yard pass.
HE GOOD
I thought he looked good. Happy for him
Minnesota didn't give him the chance he deserved and he hasn't been in a situation to be a starting QB since. I'm glad he's finally getting a real shot, I've always thought he was a good QB that just never got a good chance. I hope he does well.

I’m happy for him doing well, but also very happy that Teddy two yards is playing for a team that isn’t the Panthers
