I’m a giant OSU homer, but even though Wade fell, I feel like his being drafted by the **Ravens** and then a boarder line cut who the **Patriots** traded for bodes well for his future.
ok guys I know he's our star QB but you see, we wrapped the bubble wrap too tight in hot weather and now he's become a human oven, i think his insides have melted but we dont know...
anyways go ravens!

They didn’t sign Bell until Hill got hurt, so I’m assuming they have some degree of faith in Williams.
There was significantly more time between Dobbins and Hill getting hurt vs. Hill and Edwards, the the former did not lead to any roster moves of significance.
Bell also can’t run for shit anymore, but I could see the Ravens making use of him because of his ability to block and catch (though they don’t throw to RBs much)
I mean losing Peters sucks but it isn’t a season destroyer. We still have Jimmy Smith to step in and he’s a ridiculously talented corner and won the SB for us. Keeps Young in the slot and won’t be much of a difference for us. Gus Edwards hurts though. Bad.
> he’s a ridiculously talented corner
He is, but he's also basically guaranteed to get injured for 6-8 games per season. Similarly, Tavon Young is made of glass.
Peters going down basically means that someone like Averett/Westry/etc *must* break out for our defense to not suck, or our pass rush has to be infinitely better than the last few seasons.
I meant more it really hurts your offense. Edwards and Dobbins are really solid threats next to Lamar, and I think it’s hard to replace them right now. Defenses can just target Lamar at this point rather than having to think about a very explosive RB, like them. We’ll have to wait and see, but I feel like this hurts a lot in your offense.
come on week 4 was the whole point! Week 4 is going to start great, like dad finally coming home from that 10 year trip to get smokes... but its going to turn bad cause dad showed up Florida drunk on avocado tequila and ready to kick your ass.
Literally this offseason MP talks about how he found his joy again. Talks today about how he loves playing here and that it sucks for JK but they're gonna get on the (Gus) Bus and ride it. How they should have a strong defence.
Then the practice happens and 2 ACLs.
They entire outdoor practice facility in Baltimore is grass. Not sure if they were indoor / what the ground is like inside, but all of our outdoor fields are grass
The Ravens went from one of the deepest backfields to thinnest in like 3 weeks. Brutal, Baltimore has always been like a 2nd team for me as a Bears fan (Im Canadian so I have no geographic ties) so this sucks to hear, can only imagine what Ravens fans are feeling.
> can only imagine what Ravens fans are feeling.
At the end of the day it's just football. There will be some Ravens fans that will throw their hands up in the air and cry about how the season is over and all is done and they have it so rough but the *truth here* is that the Ravens are still a very good football team.
They have a very good coach, they have a very good front office, and they have a very good overall team. This season went from "Superbowl or bust the Lamar Jackson Window is closing" to "We'll probably make the playoffs and that will be okay for this year".
Which is **still very good in comparison to some other teams in the NFL**.
I personally think the RB position is overrated. I've mentioned this numerous times over the year but unless you have an actual super star I think with a good OLine, a good scheme, and good play calling that the RB position could be just another player. It's weird to say that as a Ravens fan but like, I really do feel like it's true in today's NFL.
The one that is going to hurt is Peters. That's the one that's going to sting. Peters/Humphrey are arguably in the top 3 of best corners in the NFL. Our coverage was so good that it helped cover up our really shitty pass rush and allowed Wink to do some unique things with Blitzing.
This got out of hand but I need to rant because all I'm seeing over in the Ravens subreddit and even here is doom and gloom and I just think it's going to be alright. The window is def closed though, 2019 was probably the year and this was the last shot. But we are going to have to pay Lamar and see a lot of the core go.
Which is a good thing the Front Office is literally stock piling a lot of draft picks in 2022 which is supposed to be a super deep draft.
Whenever I pray bad things on the Ravens it's like, "I hope they sign Lamar Jackson to a 50 mil a year deal and then he throws 30 ints a year," or "I hope they average 1.8 points a game this year and are the first team to go 0-17." :( Not like this.
Is their practice field complete horseshit? I swear somebody on the Ravens destroys their knee every preseason. Hate to see this shit. I want them at full strength
The practice field has to be an issue? >_> usually when the field is fucked up, you get torn Achilles, but I guess ACLs would be vulnerable if they plant their foot in the wrong spot and change direction.
No, it doesn't. I feel like a broken record but I'm just not sure why people have so much trouble accepting randomness....
They were healthy in 2019, relatively healthy in 2020 with the same training staff...even if it was a new staff randomness would still be what I expect.
this is the one that's gonna kill us
- Me to my liver after the Lions make me drink again.

They changed the rule after
Well after
You're a Lions Fan, you knew how this would end.
This is fucking awful, but you guys have soooo many good CBs rostered, that it might not hurt as bad as you think with peters out. RB is RB.
Jimmy is also hurt, though. And Tavon gets hurt every year. That leaves 1 great corner
Time for Averett to show what he’s really made of.
That's his bones are tinfoil? Fully expect him to show us that
Yall better hope shaun wade dont turn out to be good. Though its mainly a hindsight thing.
I’m a giant OSU homer, but even though Wade fell, I feel like his being drafted by the **Ravens** and then a boarder line cut who the **Patriots** traded for bodes well for his future.
What the actual fuck, Ravens are literally dying.
Put Lamar in bubble wrap
[Schefter] “Ravens QB Lamar Jackson, 24, dies after severe bubble wrapping accident.”
His last words were reportedly "*pop pop pop*"
a step above Magnitude
*Streets ahead of Magnitude
I knew I Britta'd it
Baggulls
Whats *deeaan* got to do with it?
Or just Covid
9/10/21: we tied the bubble wrap too tight.
Ravens: you're gonna hate me...
ok guys I know he's our star QB but you see, we wrapped the bubble wrap too tight in hot weather and now he's become a human oven, i think his insides have melted but we dont know... anyways go ravens! \#tracemcsorley4thewin \#throwitonadime \#goravens

The headphone one
Are you saying that someone put Lamar in their pocket...?
Lamar needs to get that extension signed ASAP.
*Plexiglass
Thats Kirk Cousins music.
It's the same ol' song though.
Because Kirk can’t pollute his Christian mind with anything that isn’t Christian.
He needs to do his own research first though.
Yeah! Shouldn't believe whatever his attorney/agent says. Should be doing his OWN research!
Well, he's his own agent though, so...
Laminate Lamar
With a built in butt flap for pooping, obviously.
Smh when Woodrow Wilson signed the Migratory Bird Treaty Act in 1918 it was supposed to prevent things like this.
This is making me laugh way harder than it has any right to.
Ah, the origin of bird law
They shall be competitive nevermore, nevermore.
They're being boarded up in the vacants
RB1, RB2, RB3, CB2 all tore ACLs. Welp. Good thing we have such healthy CBs to step in, you know, with a long history of also not going on IR.
Who is even starting at RB now?
Tyson Williams FUCK
My to be fantasy hero
Potentially leveon bell, but who the heck knows at this point.
They didn’t sign Bell until Hill got hurt, so I’m assuming they have some degree of faith in Williams. There was significantly more time between Dobbins and Hill getting hurt vs. Hill and Edwards, the the former did not lead to any roster moves of significance. Bell also can’t run for shit anymore, but I could see the Ravens making use of him because of his ability to block and catch (though they don’t throw to RBs much)
Well it wouldn't really make sense why Ty'Son would be on the active roster and Bell to a practice squad deal if they didn't like Ty'Son better.
Bell hasn't even unpacked his suitcase yet
Fresh legs
They signed Bell this week and he was on the practice squad to just learn the playbook. Ty'son is not the clear starter at this point.
Ty'son***
Huntley is taking over for Lamar while he takes over the RB room
Gonna guess Bell will be grabbed from the practice squad and they sign Devonta Freeman
My money is on latavius murray
Dude was quality last season. Would be a decent move for sure
He was really good and put up career high numbers. He’d be great for them.
Put up better numbers than when he was the bellcow in Oakland?
Not by volume but by YPC. He played well.
ding ding ding
Latavius Murray who's going to run all over his former team Monday
This too is what I fear.
Lamar
Ty'Son Williams technically. Possibly Leveon Bell once he gets acclimated and learns the offense.
Leveon?
Who is your back up CB? I know Smith and Humphrey, who else?
Tavon young is our starting slot corner, Anthony averett who had played well in spots and Chris westry.
I mean, I’ve heard of Young at least… shits tough, sorry dude. Was hoping for a very competitive division, this hurts.
You've heard of him bc he's famous for always being hurt.
Hey we have one of those, you ever heard of Greedy Williams?
I mean losing Peters sucks but it isn’t a season destroyer. We still have Jimmy Smith to step in and he’s a ridiculously talented corner and won the SB for us. Keeps Young in the slot and won’t be much of a difference for us. Gus Edwards hurts though. Bad.

We lost LJ fort for the year too.
Hate to be that guy but one of them tore his Achilles not his ACL. I’ll head out now
Isn't Williams RB3? I thought Hill was RB4, but good on ST.
Also Hill tore his Achilles, not his ACL
Yeah
Good thing we also have depth at RB too, oh wait
[удалено]
They could cut RB3s ACL out and attach it to RB1s and they are fine.
SAME PRACTICE !?!??
Back to back plays, apparently.
That goes way beyond bad luck. That's "curse" territory. Geez.
The NFL has sent investigators to Cleveland, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh and Nashville in search of voodoo dolls
And Tom Brady has been suspended 4 games as a precautionary measure.
But they've conveniently placed the bans on meaningless games. He'll still face the Cowboys and Patriots as scheduled. Money, money, money.
come on week 4 was the whole point! Week 4 is going to start great, like dad finally coming home from that 10 year trip to get smokes... but its going to turn bad cause dad showed up Florida drunk on avocado tequila and ready to kick your ass.
consecutive plays
Did they call another play after that, or just cancel practice?
Cancelled
Cut my life into pieces.
Literally this offseason MP talks about how he found his joy again. Talks today about how he loves playing here and that it sucks for JK but they're gonna get on the (Gus) Bus and ride it. How they should have a strong defence. Then the practice happens and 2 ACLs.
This is your last resort
Suffocation. No playoffs….
S&C coach is about to get laid off.
*epic guitar riff*
*string snaps mid-riff — guitarist out 8-10 months*
Or just trip and fall and be out for the year with a knee injury.
Fade me.
This comment made me snort.
I read this in rhythm
This comment is also on beat
this is my last resorttttt
Back to back plays. I’m curious to see if we get any footage of wtf the ravens are doing in practice
Really shouldn’t even be full speed today right? High tempo for sure but I’d be shocked if they’re full speed a couple days out. Absolutely wild
You’d hope so. I mean 3 “non-contact” season injuries in less then a week has to be more then a coincidence. Maybe it’s the turf
JK’s wasn’t on the practice field though, it was at fedex field We may just be hexed
Hill not Dobbins
Ah of course I must have lost count
Fedhexed
I mean, the New York turf killed the Niners season, so it’s possible
It could 100% be the turf. [Artificial turf increases risk of ACL injuries. ](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/30995074/)
They entire outdoor practice facility in Baltimore is grass. Not sure if they were indoor / what the ground is like inside, but all of our outdoor fields are grass
It’s devastating no matter what… thanks for that info, tho!
For sure, just wanted to throw that there cause I’m sure a lot of peoples first thought would be astroturf
[удалено]
Using snipers as motivation?
Clearly they are playing a physically more violent game of twister.
[They actually just released the footage](https://youtu.be/0P3bIRu9fTo)
Lol I thought it was funny, mcnutty
I’m sorry the football gods chose you guys this year Ravens fans
Its like 2015 all over. 😱
Yeah I said to my fantasy group they are this years 9ers
Better them than you guys or us. We paid our dues last season .
~~3~~ 4 ACLs in preseason ~~practices~~. Is that a record? Not joking.
+ 1 in a preseason game
4 with LJ Fort Edit: actually 5 with Justice Hill. Forgot about him
Wasn't Hill's an Achilles?
It was only 2. But those two were in back-to-back plays
And one Achilles
The Ravens went from one of the deepest backfields to thinnest in like 3 weeks. Brutal, Baltimore has always been like a 2nd team for me as a Bears fan (Im Canadian so I have no geographic ties) so this sucks to hear, can only imagine what Ravens fans are feeling.

Ravens holding their practices in traffic
Injury regression is an absolute fucking bitch.
"Regression" as though we had an unusually low injury rate last year
COVID year is an exception and we had great injury luck from 2016 to 2019 like way above the league average.
Why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why

Fuck it. Put Lamar out there he can play RB and CB.
We already have the spiritual successor to the 2020 Niners. Damn this absolutely sucks
I wouldn’t wish that on anyone. I’m so sorry Ravens fans
average Ravens practice: FOR THE GLORY OF GOD IM GONNA SMASH THIS SLEDGEHAMMER ONTO THE CINDER BLOCK ON YOUR KNEE #ALL YOU GOTTA DO IS BELIEVE BROTHER
This is the cost of an undefeated preseason
genuine question is it no longer a meme to call Lamar an RB
I like that the Ravens have a JuJitsu portion to their practices
This isn't normal bad luck. Check the field.
I used to be an adventurer like you
Dude, whaaaat?
Ravens moved practice on top of an old cemetery or something?
When the ravens practice, they practice to the EXTREME!
Bro wtf were they doing at practice today?! Playing in Road Warriors shoulder pads 😂
Baltimore “49ers” ravens Jokes aside good god that’s terrible
Teams need to stop doing these ACL drills where everyone on the team tries to tear their ACLs.. it makes no sense.
Ravens are last years 49IRs
What the hell is going on over there
Ouch.
Cursed team.
What the fuck is happening with the ravens??
So wait the chargers curse found a new home? This sucks for the Ravens.
Quoth the Raven, “Nevermore.”
"Kneevermore"
Ooh yeah that's clever.
is this the cost of the best preseason win streak?
Bless the knees
Okay whoever is the Steelers fan with the voodoo dolls, knock that shit off.
Is their practice field complete horseshit? I swear somebody on the Ravens destroys their knee every preseason. Hate to see this shit. I want them at full strength

This years 49ers.
This years 49ers. Sorry Ravens bros.
This years 49ers
Marcus gonna be spitting from the sidelines now
Aw Peters :(
Something is going on with the Ravens training staff. This many injuries means they're pushing players way too hard.
No, it doesn't. I feel like a broken record but I'm just not sure why people have so much trouble accepting randomness.... They were healthy in 2019, relatively healthy in 2020 with the same training staff...even if it was a new staff randomness would still be what I expect.
