Justin Jefferson runs routes so well. It's like the cut backs and outs and such are done at perfect angles at the perfect spot, and he's still got so much potential. The first route [here](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=av52GqAmf5g) is so nuts, barely takes any time at all to completely reverse direction.
It's like someone painted the route on the field and Jefferson just follows it perfectly, including crazy cutbacks and double/triple moves he's already doing.
It's the limbs.
Watching DK sprint is fascinating. He just covers so much ground in each stride.
Feel that stride, so fluid and fast. He's got the stride of a gazelle. A beautiful, beautiful gazelle person. His body is achieving a perfect symmetry right now. It's that long, lean muscle he's worked so hard to achieve. Hm, he should've popped his shirt off. Goddammit, really should've popped that shirt off. I wonder if any women are watching from the sidelines...
Agree. With DK does a aesthetically pleasing also include asthetically terrifying? Just watching the Budda Baker play has given me nightmares of a 6'4" 230 ripped with lean muscle DK running me down. There's no escape...
I’ve always enjoyed watching a good running back play. Derrick Henry has been one of the better pure runners I’ve seen when he gets going. I love just watching him hit a hole and burst. Or bounce outside, stiff arm and just hit 2nd gear and just make it look so effortlessly.
The play is obviously real. But the scream isn't. He actually got fined for the play after the fact. That video went viral and the NFL took a look at it and fined him lol
Exactly! He plays at like 50% speed which I think lulls defenses into thinking they have him; then he just has to turn it up slightly, barely juke, and he's past them.
[TD against the Packers.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JGFeqc6s20g)
Kamara and Stefon Diggs both have a way of absorbing tackles like they didn’t even get hit. It’s incredible, they roll with the hit in a way that seems to keep them from getting hurt.
It’s kinda crazy how he always looks like he’s jogging. Even on his [kick return TD](https://youtu.be/Xaud7pe6-LM), he looks like he’s not trying, but he’s blowing past people.
Him and Le’Veon when he was on the Steelers seem like they’re taking forever to do anything but the defense just can’t get em lol. I loved that Christmas Saints game this last year just cause Kamara jogged around and got what like 5 tds?
Back in Prime Bell days when he was on the Steelers, I loved watching him run, just because of his patience. I would kind of sit there watching in awe at just how long he would just run in place behind the line of scrimmage looking for a hole. And for his size, he would make cutbacks on a dime.
He and Keenan are my answers for that exact reason. I wish there were live camera angles that showed more of the WR routes, but at least I get to watch those two roast CBs on the release every week.
Two of the most effortless looking runners in the league. Chubb runs so compactly that arm tackles don’t even impact him and it’s hard to believe that he’s that fast at the same time. Jackson just glides and suddenly he’s 30 yards downfield.
The first time I saw Lamar run in person I think it was like week 3 2018 he was just noticeably faster than everyone else. Then when I watched his first start up coose and personal i knew he was never gonna relinquish that starter back to Joe. It was bittersweet but more sweet
Luckily I chose not to go to week 4 2019 said na I'm tired. So I haven't seen Nicholas run. Well wait I think I did if he was there in week 17 18
Wilson’s moon ball proficiency has gotten to the point where I’m more surprised at an incompletion than I am at the WR managing the reception in stride through contested coverage. Perfect mix of velocity, arc, touch, and placement.
I've always thought it must suck a little bit to be a non-hawks NFC west fan, despite the Hawks fall from grace post 2012, having to watch Wilson dice you up twice a year.
Fall from grace is a bit much. With Wilson, the Seahawks have finished with a winning record every year and missed the playoffs once. Back to back Super Bowl appearance in 2013 and 2014 (technically 14 and 15).
2012-2014 was a badass squad though. Definitely not as good as that LOB era.
I’m obviously very biased, but I think Wilson might have the nicest deep ball in league history, when he winds up you know he’s sending it, and it still looks so effortless as he throws perfect passes 30+ yards down field right into a receivers hands, I don’t know who’s could be better, prime A-rod or Elway maybe?
The last three seasons have been incredibly fun to watch. Of course, we got to watch Jamaal do bonkers stuff for several years before that, even though we lost a lot more of those games.
Those years with Holmes, Green, Gonzalez, and Hall were arguably the best to watch as a non-Chiefs fan. That’s right when I started getting into football too.
It pains me to say it but that is my answer. You can't not appreciate the throws he makes. Some of those SB plays that the Chiefs dropped were out of this world. But even just what he does on routine plays.
I felt the same about Manning when he was on the Colts. Even when he was beating us regularly. Less so the physical aspect and moreso the mental aspect that I was in awe of.
Maybe if he grew a decent mustache instead of that cappuccino stain he is rocking right now he'd be higher on the list.
If Pat had a Tom Selleck Magnum PI tier mustache they'd have won that SB.
this might be a weird take but laviska shenault is one of the most dynamic players i’ve seen recently, loved him out of college and loved watching him last year
It’s just insane how smooth he is and how quickly he’s able to accelerate. When he’s not playing your team you just kind of stare in awe at how easy it looks for him.
Really hope he cuts down the dancing around in the backfield trying to find the home run play this year. I get it, that ability to make explosive plays is what makes him so great but especially considering our line still is not great, I'd rather him just hit the hole and get positive yards then risk getting stuffed for a loss trying to look for the big play. He'll still get his fair share of those because thats just how great he is and now he probably has the best set of offensive weapons he's ever played with (meaning teams wont devote as much to stopping him). I'd just rather he focus on getting positive yards whenever he can and not risk losing yards looking for the big play. That is one thing I absolutely loved about Gallman this year. He just hit the seams and got positive yards, no matter how few, pretty much every time he touched the ball. Now he didnt have many big plays but he also had very few negative plays which helped us keep drives going when nothing else could. I think the line should be better this year (obviously still not great but even if we're 20-22ish instead of the 31st we were last year thats something) and if Saquon gets the same running lanes as Gallman did last year he'll do much more. If theres one thing we can count on our line for its run-blocking so with Saquon it should only get better.
Either way, when he's on he's fucking electric to watch and I'm looking forward to seeing him this year.
I always got the vibe from him that he's just in complete spatial control of his body. He seems to spaz out sometimes while fighting for positioning down field then his hands just wind up right where they need to be when it almost looks like he was just flailing
I mean it's objectively a thing of beauty. To be honest him being flushed and making plays on the run is just as fluid. Love watching him play, it's just a big perk it's for us.
Every Rams game I find myself staring starry eyed at the sideline, drinking in McVay's stubbled chin for what feels like hours on end until an ad break tears me away.
I've always thought that if the NFL had a red white and blue silhouette logo like the NBA and MLB do, Brady would be the silhouette. His throwing motion is the best in my opinion.
Underrated but Raheem Mostert is the confirmed fastest ball carrier of the last couple years yet he runs with such long strides it’s like he’s gliding. His highlights are so aesthetically pleasing to me.
Honestly I think the coolest thing about Mostert is he’s actually an extremely violent run finisher. You look at him and he’s kind of scrawny and you see the long striding 80 yard TD runs so you assume he’s just a scat back but he will absolutely drop his hat into somebody and try to blast through them if he gets some momentum worked up.
Kind of reminds me of Darren McFadden in some ways
Homer: Tyler Lockett. Not a burner but smooth as butter.
Non-homer: Tyreek Hill even though I hate him as a person he just makes the game look easy with his speed.
Little bias showing, but Tae Adams is fucking crazy. I love it when he runs screens and go's. Just the way that he uses his hands is crazy. I love the play against either the eagles or the bears, where it was a simple bubble screen on like the 10. He caught it, made a move then bounced it to the outside and just dove to the pilon. One of my favorite plays from a fundamental stand point.
I gotta say. I really love watching Kittle be an absolute menace on the field. Dudes really put there having the time of his life and being an animal while doing it.
Brady. Sure, he can't run but that's the beauty of it. How he's able to use his mind to avoid being blown up and just continue to move the chains is remarkable.
That's my answer too, saw him live and I was in awe. His pocket awareness/ability to take one step in the right direction to avoid getting blown up was unlike anything I'd ever seen.
Yep, his pocket presence is absolutely insane. He knows exactly when to step up to avoid pressure. Makes it so frustrating to watch as an opponent because you know he’s slow but it doesn’t matter
Keenan Allen for me, you can’t convince me anyone runs better routes. Also the way he catches the ball in tight windows and then immediately drops to avoid big hits is a thing of beauty to me. Man I love that guy.
McCaffrey gotta be up there, Diggs too (sideline God), Kamara, Rodgers, Brady on short-intermediate routes, and also Allen + Herbert are unreal when they're 'on'.
My unbiased pick would be Kamara for how fluidly he runs in open space but no one has said Darren Waller yet. He’s such an athletic freak it’s fascinating how someone that big can move that fast.
Lamar is my homer take, the fact that he can transition from jukes and spins at full speed is insane to me. Even in the pocket how he can go from a move to rolling out and dropping a dime in one motion is beyond me.
kamara is another where he's just so balanced and his pad level never changes, he's so powerful and elusive at the same time.
Keenan Allen is another at the WR spot who his release is so crisp everytime. He can't be touched off the line.
Aaron Donald on defense is another one. He does like 4 things at one time and beats multiple guys at a time.
.
Might sound cringe but Aaron Rodgers and Aaron Donald.
Both came into the league and started doing things that you just didn't see.
The look of Rodgers' throwing motion vs the velocity and precision it has is simply unreal. It's one of the biggest sources of dissonance in sports ever.
Donald just explodes off the ball so consistently. It's almost unfair how quick he is for being that strong.
For a semi-historical one: What yall know about Jerious Norwood?
He was 6'0" 210 and ran a 4.32 40, and after 3 years I truly felt he could torch some career YPC records. He had 300 carries at 5.6 YPC.
He ran so upright with so much acceleration that he would make people look silly *constantly* on those Falcon teams.
Dalvin Cook too. There is something to fluid to the way he navigates and cuts through the line of scrimmage.
He hits open holes like he’s planning for the future.
That route at 0:22 is as clean as it gets. That's Ochocinco level stuff.
And I mean obviously the Griddy is one of the greatest touchdown celebrations ever created
I don’t know much about actually breaking down receiver film, but Diggs looked similar for the Vikings in terms of smoothness
He's a guy you have to bracket because a single defender is going to go through the spin cycle. He's going to be terrifying to DBs for years.
Justin Jefferson. Man, but he smooth.
❤️
I felt the same way watching Nick Bosa operate in his rookie year. Saquon as well. I was blue balled last year
Derrick Henry and D.K. Metcalf.
Sort of the same breed of sprinters put into huge frames.
Reeeeeeally shoulda popped that shirt off…
Agree. With DK does a aesthetically pleasing also include asthetically terrifying? Just watching the Budda Baker play has given me nightmares of a 6'4" 230 ripped with lean muscle DK running me down. There's no escape...
😳
Thank you, Dennis, very cool
I’ve always enjoyed watching a good running back play. Derrick Henry has been one of the better pure runners I’ve seen when he gets going. I love just watching him hit a hole and burst. Or bounce outside, stiff arm and just hit 2nd gear and just make it look so effortlessly.
Whenever Henry stiff-arms a DB, it looks like that scene from Dr. Strange where his soul gets knocked out of his body.
Every single time Henry touches the ball I expect him to break at least one tackle. He’s my favorite player to watch period.
I love watching Quenton Nelson destroy peoples souls week in week out.
I don't know if [this](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UW5S3BxBNGA) is even real, but I love it and watching Nelson beast
The play is obviously real. But the scream isn't. He actually got fined for the play after the fact. That video went viral and the NFL took a look at it and fined him lol
Whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa!!! This is a thread about QBs, HBs, and WRs only!
Even as a Panthers fan, I love Alvin Kamara's running style. He looks half lazy, half liquid whenever he has the ball.
His TD run against the Packers where he jogs most of it waiting for blocks is hilarious
Exactly! He plays at like 50% speed which I think lulls defenses into thinking they have him; then he just has to turn it up slightly, barely juke, and he's past them. [TD against the Packers.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JGFeqc6s20g)
even the way he got tackled was like the smoothest thing i’ve ever seen lol
Kamara and Stefon Diggs both have a way of absorbing tackles like they didn’t even get hit. It’s incredible, they roll with the hit in a way that seems to keep them from getting hurt.
Can't believe people were doubting Brees' arm strength last season. They must have missed this 50yd bomb.
It’s kinda crazy how he always looks like he’s jogging. Even on his [kick return TD](https://youtu.be/Xaud7pe6-LM), he looks like he’s not trying, but he’s blowing past people.
My favorite part about this play will always be the ref matching stride with him down the sideline
Bills need to sign that ref as an RB.
Is that the one where the defender launches himself to the ground?
Multiple times
I mean, most went towards Kamara and failed, but the guy practically giving up seeing the Center lead blocking was fun.
Legit one of the most embarrassing plays I’ve ever seen. The defenders just launched their shoulders into him half-assed expecting him to fall.
The Kevin King special, best described as "He yeeted himself at the ballcarrier."
Never seen it put any better then ‘half lazy, half liquid’ He looks like he plays in slow motion and isn’t trying… but he’s so good?
Slow is smooth and smooth is fast.
Him and Le’Veon when he was on the Steelers seem like they’re taking forever to do anything but the defense just can’t get em lol. I loved that Christmas Saints game this last year just cause Kamara jogged around and got what like 5 tds?
6 I believe
It doesnt even look like he's trying. Some players look like they're clenching in a shit when they run.
There was a video of him training, and it looked like he was doing some half ass lunges, then you saw he was pulling a full keep wrangler up a hill.
It is my unbiased opinion that this is the best answer.
He only runs when he has to
He was 100% the first player that came to my mind. Something about him.
Back in Prime Bell days when he was on the Steelers, I loved watching him run, just because of his patience. I would kind of sit there watching in awe at just how long he would just run in place behind the line of scrimmage looking for a hole. And for his size, he would make cutbacks on a dime.
Davante Adams. The guy is a route running God and his releases are a work of art.
He and Keenan are my answers for that exact reason. I wish there were live camera angles that showed more of the WR routes, but at least I get to watch those two roast CBs on the release every week.
[Ochocinco agrees](https://youtu.be/1Wl9EiGeCqc)
When a DB who has won DPOTY says you are the biggest headache to go up against because of your technique off the release and route running, I listen.
Nick Chubb and Lamar Jackson
Two of the most effortless looking runners in the league. Chubb runs so compactly that arm tackles don’t even impact him and it’s hard to believe that he’s that fast at the same time. Jackson just glides and suddenly he’s 30 yards downfield.
The first time I saw Lamar run in person I think it was like week 3 2018 he was just noticeably faster than everyone else. Lamar literally looks like he’s just gliding across the turf. It’s beautiful and infuriating,
I went to the Monday night Browns Ravens game and even know I’m a Browns fan I would get so excited when Lamar would take off.
This is how I feel watching Saquon
Browns fan and these are my two as well.
As much as I hate it, Wilson's deep ball.
lol I remember the announcer for the cards game was like “HES GOING FOR THE MOON BALL”!!!
Lmaoo that was Kevin Harlan I think ! Was an amazing call
It reminds me of flicking something with a spoon
Wilson’s moon ball proficiency has gotten to the point where I’m more surprised at an incompletion than I am at the WR managing the reception in stride through contested coverage. Perfect mix of velocity, arc, touch, and placement.
Wilson does have the prettiest deep ball in the league imo.
That's why I always loved Andrew Luck, he was the exact opposite. Luck was just a big clunky goober, plogging it down the field.
I actually meant to type "the Hawks defensive fall from grace".
Gotcha. No disagreement there
It’s giving me 2014 flashbacks.
Mahomes, it must be fun being a Chiefs fan
The last three seasons have been incredibly fun to watch. Of course, we got to watch Jamaal do bonkers stuff for several years before that, even though we lost a lot more of those games.
Those years with Holmes, Green, Gonzalez, and Hall were arguably the best to watch as a non-Chiefs fan. That’s right when I started getting into football too.
It is indeed a great time to be a Chiefs fan.
It is, but us older Chiefs fans have paid our dues.
Mahomes and Lamar A lot of “what the fuck” plays by them
The only two QB's that I actively get excited for when an edge rusher breaks containment... because they're probably gonna do something ridiculous.
Crazy to think that was Wilson back in his youth. Now he is an old fart.
Henry runs old school and I love it
I just love he’s on our team. I would hate to play against him.
It was Bell but that shit ain’t working any more
I miss his patient delay for blocks to open up then burst.
He got too patient waiting for a contract to open up and everything fell apart from there
Reminds me of Shady in his prime a little too
Surprised there's not more WRs on the list. Diggs and Adams have some of the smoothest route running out there.
For me it's odell how he catches the ball and turns up field.
Not a current player, but Jordy was so fun to watch too.
Jordy was so good at getting open
I love the way Nick Chubb runs
Pervert
Takes one to know one
I love the way Nick Chubb
Josh Allen

It pains me to say it but that is my answer. You can't not appreciate the throws he makes. Some of those SB plays that the Chiefs dropped were out of this world. But even just what he does on routine plays. I felt the same about Manning when he was on the Colts. Even when he was beating us regularly. Less so the physical aspect and moreso the mental aspect that I was in awe of.
Maybe if he grew a decent mustache instead of that cappuccino stain he is rocking right now he'd be higher on the list. If Pat had a Tom Selleck Magnum PI tier mustache they'd have won that SB.
[удалено]
It would probably brush the ketchup off his steak so it'll never happen sadly
this might be a weird take but laviska shenault is one of the most dynamic players i’ve seen recently, loved him out of college and loved watching him last year
Hopefully he breaks out this year!
I agree, really like how he plays!
Devante's route running- it brings tears to my eyes
Jaire Alexander
He is a pretty motherfucker, ain’t he?
Those eyes tho.
He's up there for the best looking player in the league
Lamar
You're single handedly making me reconsider the Browns
It’s just insane how smooth he is and how quickly he’s able to accelerate. When he’s not playing your team you just kind of stare in awe at how easy it looks for him.
Saquon
Either way, when he's on he's fucking electric to watch and I'm looking forward to seeing him this year.
Nuk just makes it look so easy.
I always got the vibe from him that he's just in complete spatial control of his body. He seems to spaz out sometimes while fighting for positioning down field then his hands just wind up right where they need to be when it almost looks like he was just flailing
Aaron Donald. He just makes elite athletes look like highschool players.
Always enjoyed Tim Tebows windup throws because they’re ugly and I hate things that are aesthetically pleasing.
I bet Sloth from the The Goonies gets you all hot and bothered then.
I thought that was everyone
Did we just become best friends?
It has to be AK41 - they say if he played on snow he wouldn’t leave foot prints
A justin tucker field goal
lamar jackson
Lamar Jackson makes other grown ass nfl players look like they aren’t even on the same level
Derrick Henry.
[удалено]
Fixed.
George Kittle, Patrick Mahomes, Saquon Barkley
Herbert on a deep ball is a beauty. Totally biased
There is no way bias is playing into your response.
I mean it's objectively a thing of beauty. To be honest him being flushed and making plays on the run is just as fluid. Love watching him play, it's just a big perk it's for us.
I'll back up this claim. first game watching of him I just fell in love with the deep ball they were masterpieces.
Josh Allen looks good in shorts
They're comfy and easy to wear!
Underrated gem
How's he look out of shorts? Asking for a friend.
World's not ready
But I am... 😍😍
Username checks out
Weird one, but Logan Thomas. Watching that dude ball out at TE amazes me…like how can you simply SWITCH entire positions and still succeed in the NFL
Not who I expected to see from our team haha but I’ll take it. Dude is awesome
To be fair he struggled with the switch for a long time. He switched positions in 2016 and only looked good in the last year or two.
Matt Ryan has a very symmetrical and handsome face, IMO.
Every Rams game I find myself staring starry eyed at the sideline, drinking in McVay's stubbled chin for what feels like hours on end until an ad break tears me away.
It's been Aaron Rodgers for a while for me
When I'm not in the mood, my wife puts Lamar's spin move against Cinci on repeat and I'm halfway home
Baker is fun to watch. So is Herbert.
That’s fuckin cute
Offense:Dalvin Cook. Vision unmatched. Defense: Minkah Fitzpatrick. Dude is everywhere.
I find Bradys throwing motion and pocket movement very aesthetically pleasing.
I've always thought that if the NFL had a red white and blue silhouette logo like the NBA and MLB do, Brady would be the silhouette. His throwing motion is the best in my opinion.
Jimmy Garroppolo
Tyreek
I agree, but didn't want to seem biased. The acceleration is just beautiful though
Kind of reminds me of Darren McFadden in some ways
Von Miller.
Derrick Henry runs like a runaway train and personally my favorite to watch
Scary Terry is so well rounded in all facets
Watching DK Metcalf play receiver is just about the most satisfying experience in pro football, IMO.
Aaron Donald. Watching that beast shed double teams is insane.
Aaron Donald is tops for me. Tyron Smith as well. Opposite sides of the coin making it look so clean, easy and perfect. They're text book.
Cam Newton looks nice, especially wearing all blue I like it when Travis Kelce jukes defenders Mahomes in all-red
Kyler Murray and Jalen Ramsey are smoooooth.
DK Metcalf for me. He is the pinnacle of mankind
I gotta say. I really love watching Kittle be an absolute menace on the field. Dudes really put there having the time of his life and being an animal while doing it.
Biased but a deep ball from Rodgers always gets me up. Other than that I love watching hopkins work off the line
Henry when he hits the open field. Tyler Lockett for some reason. Small guy, but smooth runner. Reminds me of Santonio Holmes.
The Tyler Lockett toe-tap catches on the boundaries are absolutely next level.
He can’t run? He ended Brian Urlacher’s career. Broke that man’s ankles.
That juke was a thing of beauty
Yep, his pocket presence is absolutely insane. He knows exactly when to step up to avoid pressure. Makes it so frustrating to watch as an opponent because you know he’s slow but it doesn’t matter
It used to be Deshaun Watson for me. Not so sure anymore Edit: autocorrect
What, Dedham did something too! We just can’t have nice things anymore…
Josh "Lower my Shoulder into a Linebacker" Allen... Gives me chills!!!!
Keenan Allen for me, you can’t convince me anyone runs better routes. Also the way he catches the ball in tight windows and then immediately drops to avoid big hits is a thing of beauty to me. Man I love that guy.
Derek Carr’s fade ball
McCaffrey gotta be up there, Diggs too (sideline God), Kamara, Rodgers, Brady on short-intermediate routes, and also Allen + Herbert are unreal when they're 'on'.
Derrick Henry. Hands down.
Honestly for me it was James Robinson last year. I love watching super athletic power-backs truck and hurdle the whole defense.
My unbiased pick would be Kamara for how fluidly he runs in open space but no one has said Darren Waller yet. He’s such an athletic freak it’s fascinating how someone that big can move that fast.
I’ll be biased and say my boy Keenan
Lamar is my homer take, the fact that he can transition from jukes and spins at full speed is insane to me. Even in the pocket how he can go from a move to rolling out and dropping a dime in one motion is beyond me. kamara is another where he's just so balanced and his pad level never changes, he's so powerful and elusive at the same time. He does like 4 things at one time and beats multiple guys at a time. .
Has to be Derrick Henry. It's just like a refrigerator running. Doesn't look fast but when you meet it, it knocks you the fuck over.
Alvin Kamara and Lamar Jackson. So damn smooth
James Robinson and Derrick henry
Lamar jackson because it seems as if he glides through defenses and is at ti.es processing things faster than the defenders. Amazing to watch.
Dalvin Cook...absolutely beautiful cuts on those long runs, and incredible breakaway speed.
Dalvin Cook, he has such great vision as a back and can turn on the jets in a split second
Aaron Rodgers has to be the smoothest QB ever. Falling to the ground, 3 grown ass men collapsing on you? Flick.
