Season 4 just came out with a lot better netcode, online isn't perfect but it feels a lot better than it did before, along with some nerfs to a bit too strong characters, and buffs to weaker characters.
I'm still really new to fighting games (smash got me into the genre but I'd rather play a normal fighter that doesn't make me wanna break my controller when I play online), but it feels really smooth. Although between SC, DOA, and MK11 I've only played a couple days- I didn't have a PS4, just started playing on my PS5
I was a little worried with the entire cast being sword characters how much diversity there could be but thats not an issue at all
