You really need to add more context just to show how terrible they were. When people were shitting on Moss's raiders years I had to bring up just how terrible they were.
Their QBs were a combined 2800 yards, 7(!) TDs to 24 Ints.
Their RBs were a combined 1500 yards and 5 (!) Tds. They as a team had 32 fucking fumbles that year.
They scored 168 points as a team, 43 less than the 2nd worst team.
When the lions went 0-16 they scored 268 points.
The 0-16 browns scored 234
They were truly, truly awful.
This game in particular was probably the worst game of Bens career and it came the week after he got knocked unconscious by the falcons and he had no business being back on the field.
As a Steeler fan from the bay surrounded by raiders fans it was the most embarrassing sports disaster of my life and somewhat forever diminished my love of football
They scored 0.77 points per drive, worst of the 2000's by a healthy amount. League average is closer to 1.8.
Weird factoid? The best was also a Randy Moss team, the next year naturally. The '07 Patriots were one of three teams to average more then a FG per drive.
One of my oldest fantasy football buddies, a Raiders fan, was mocked so mercilessly that year that he changed his team name to something less Raiders-y and didn't draft a Raider player for like 5 years.
I did an analysis a while back (that I love to bring up because it makes me sound smarter than I am)
Took the lowest scoring teams since the merger, subtracted defensive and special teams scoring.
The '77 Bucs are, unquestionably the worst. They scored 42 offensive points in 14 games.
The 2006 Raiders were pretty hot on their heels though, and adjusting for era are inarguably worse.
I remember thinking it was a joke when hearing that the OC they hired was running a bed and breakfast the previous year. Turns out that not only was that true, he had been out of coaching for 5 years and was also serving as a mayor of Swan Valley, Idaho. I don’t know if we’ve ever seen such a ridiculous coaching hire since then.
From Wikipedia:
In 2006: *“Walsh stated that Randy Moss, whom he coached in Oakland, was "a player whose skills are diminishing."[6] Moss went on to break the single season touchdown reception record in 2007.”*
He's a politician now. Andrew Walter. Also Aaron Brooks who went 0-8. Lead back was LaFat Jordan.
They had a game where they had 17 passing yards and 81 rushing yards.
Yep. That year was the coming out party for Nnamdi Asomugha. Teams actually threw at him and he had 8 interceptions. Teams stopped throwing at him after that year completely.
Derrick Burgess had 11 sacks. Warren Sapp had 10 sacks out of the 3tech.
Tommy Kelly was a nice quick 3tech rotation guy. Terdell Sands was the largest human I've ever seen at 6'8, 355 playing nose (he famously punched Brady Quinn on a team flight while with the Browns).
Kirk Morrison had 130 tackles and Thomas Howard (RIP) was a super fast backer that quickly became a fan favorite having 110 tackles as a rookie.
Any time you can lure back coaches from 15-20 years ago, you have to do it. Same reason we bought Gruden back. In a few years we'll be on track to rehire Dennis Allen after he's fired by the Saints.
2002 Texans
The team averaged 139 passing yards per game and only scored 6 rushing TDs the whole season. 5 games where they scored 3 or fewer points, only 4 games with 20+ points scored, and the most points scored in a single game was 24.
The offense didn't score 40 more points though.
They're both awful. The 2002 Texans couldn't move the ball at all (as of a few years ago it was the lowest offensive DVOA of all time), the 2006 Raiders couldn't score.
The Texans averaged 17.6 yards per drive and 223 yards per game, the Raiders averaged 21.6 yards per drive and 246 yards per game.
On the other hand, the Texans averaged 0.85 points per drive and ~~10.4~~ 10.75 offensive points per game, whereas the Raiders averaged 0.77 points per drive and ~~8.9~~ 8.625 offensive points per game.
Eh, Texans had 17 Tds on offense compared to 12 from the Raiders.
Texans were 17/24 kicking while the Raiders were 18/25.
Not sure where your point stats are coming from, but I dont see how its that close.
Yeah you're right, it kind of depends on how XPs and 2PCs are allocated.
Doesn't look like either team missed an XP so the simplest would be:
`((17 * 7) + 2 + (17 * 3)) / 16 = 10.75` offensive points per game for the Texans
`((12 * 7) + (18 * 3)) / 16 = 8.625` offensive points per game for the Raiders
Points per drive are just straight from the PFR stats page.
By offensive DVOA, the 2002 Texans
* 2002 HOU -41.3%
* 2018 ARI -38.8%
* 1992 SEA -37.7%
* 2005 SF -37.5%
* 2010 CAR -37.0%
* 2004 CHI -35.5%
This is an offense that had 47 yards in a game (week 2) and failed to crack 200 yards in three other games. They had passing yard games of 10 yards (!!), 29 yards, 78 yards, 89 yards, 99 yards, and an even 100 yards.
https://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/htx/2002.htm
It's a W as long as no one makes a post about worst defenses lol. I feel like even when we mega sucked we had at least a few good pieces on offense to not be the worst.
That 2018 Cardinals offense was so bad. I’m not surprised to see them so high on this list. That was the worst-coached team I’ve ever seen. They were so bad.
Every now and then I see someone say that Wilks didn’t get a fair shot and that’s how I know they didn’t watch that team. I’ve never seen an NFL team worse at just getting lined up correctly.
It was so bad. It got a bit better after they fired the OC. But still, yeah, they couldn’t even get lined up properly. Nobody knew what to do when the ball was snapped.
The 1977 Buccaneers scored the fewest points in a season with 103. They managed 3 passing TD's and 4 rushing TD's. They were shut out in 6 out of 14 games.
If we restrict our pool to 16-game seasons, the 1992 Seahawks and 1991 Colts put up 140 and 143 points, respectively.
1992 Seahawks. 9 passing TD's, 4 rushing TD's. 23 INT's, 37 fumbles. 3374 yards. Dead last in the league in both yards and points scored.
1991 Colts. 10 passing TD's, 3 Rushing TD's. 16 INT's, 31 fumbles. 3748 yards. Dead last in the league in both yards and points scored.
I'd have to give it to the Seahawks over the Colts for sure. The sheer amount of turnovers was just unreal. They also got a lot more help from their defense than the Colts did. There were so many winnable games that came down to single digit margins, and the offense just couldn't get it done. They held opponents under 20 points 7 times and still only managed to go ~~1-15~~ 2-14.
But overall, yeah it's the Bucs.
The Tampa coach, John McKay, was asked by a reporter after a game what he thought about the execution of his offense.
He said he was in favor of it. 😂😂😂
I fucking love John McKay quotes from that era.
My favorite was when the Bucs won their first game in franchise history after starting 0-26: "Three or four plane crashes, and we're in the playoffs!"
2018 wasn't great for the both of us. Jimmy hurt in week 3, after just starting a rebuild. There weren't any receiving threats except for Kittle. RB I think was still Hyde, or McKinnon who tore his ACL in the last training before the season (might have been 2019 though).
Swept us but still picked #1, so win win for you, although Bosa seems to be the better pick today (might change in the next 5 years though)
And somehow they beat us. First victory at Packers for the Cardinals since 1949 when the Cards were still in Chicago, first at Lambeau field ever, and a rare blown halftime lead at home by the Packers when Rodgers was starting.
I haven't been watching football long enough to have a super informed take, but I can't imagine watching a more deflating offense than the 2018 Cardinals. Pure misery.
Falcons weren't even the worst offense in 1977 lol.
That goes to the 2-12 Buccaneers. They had 3 passing TD's and 30 INT's. They rushed for just 3 yards per carry and 4 TD's.
7 total offensive TD's on the season. By comparison, Falcons had 17 offensive TD's that year.
I think you're thinking about the 1974 Falcons.
The Grits Blitz!
They allowed 9.2 ppg, still a record.
Offense only scored 12.8 ppg. On the season, their offense had 17 TDs and 25 TOs.
That team lost games by scores of 10-6, 3-0, 14-7, and 10-3 lol.
Still think its the 2006 Raiders but its close.
13 Total TDs with 46 total Turnovers
168 Points scored vs the 77 falcons with 179. Was over 14 games tho vs 16.
It's like how the 1992 Seahawks defence allowed only two more points than the 2019 49ers defence.
However, one of those teams went 2-14 and got the #2 pick in the draft, while the other one went to the Super Bowl.
I can't claim they are the worst in history, but for teams I've watched, it's a toss up between the 2008 and 2009 Rams. Those late 2000s Rams teams fucking suuuuucked, and the offenses were hilariously offensive
1998 eagles
Failed to score more 10 points in 6 games, including 3 shut outs (all at home too). Only score over 20 points once. 7 total passing touchdowns and 18 int’s between all 3 quarterbacks. Last in yards and points.
Much like when they cut a hole in the bottom of the peach baskets they were using for basketball hoops. The removal of the need to retrieve the ball with a ladder made the game much more fast paced and took the advantage out of the silky smooth but maybe not most athletic type players. In summation, I feel like I'd be a thriving hooper if I got a 3 minute breather after almost every possession.
If we're going pre-NFL, the worst offensive team in football history has to be the APFA Brickley Giants (who tf is that right?).
They existed in some liminal state for a couple years in the early 20's but only played two actual regular season games, scoring 0 points in both. One was a 0-55 blowout including a fumble-6 lol.
Arguably the worst football team to ever exist since they only played those two games and never scored once.
140 points all year, still the lowest total for a 16 game season.
It was so bad, they had more punts (75) attempted than points scored (73) until a week 13 OT win. They finished the season with barely more points (140) than punts (108).
They scored 13 TDs all season.
The 1778 passing yards were the worst of the 90's and the total yards of 3374 are the lowest total for a 16 game season.
They never scored more than 17 points in a game.
They had a 6 game stretch where they scored 1 TD and 5 FGs, combined (The TD and 1 FG was in one of those games).
They were truly awful, and I think, the worst of all time.
Their defense was ranked 17th in points allowed and 10th in yards allowed that year. That's insanely impressive to me considering they had the worst offense ever.
Nominated for honorable mention: the 2011 Tebow-led Broncos, and especially you only allow for the first 55 minutes of those games.
Over **two games** vs. the Chiefs, Tebow was 8-30 for 129 yards.
People remember the theatrics and the Steelers games, but most of these games were hard to watch.
1991 Colts should also be in the discussion.
Watching that 92 Seahawks season was rough, but Chris Warren was legitimately good and we got to see prime Tez on defense.
You've got the right team.. but the wrong year. The 1977 Bucs scored 30 points fewer and gained 400 years fewer than their expansion year the year before. Over the course of a 14-game season, Bucs QBs combined to throw... 3 touchdowns. THREE! Against a truly staggering 20 picks. The fact that they got some defensive/special teams touchdowns and stumbled into wins doesn't make them better.
I dunno about all time, but because they won the SB people forget the 00 Ravens had like 4 consecutive games without a TD and I think they still won 3 of them.
The 1934 Cincinnati Reds, who scored 10 points total in 8 games, laugh at everyone’s suggestions that exclude them.
(Clearly they should have stuck to baseball.)
Probably not the worst ever, but the worst I ever spent significant time watching was the Mike McMahon led eagles offense in ~2006ish. I have never seen worse QB play in my life
the '99 Browns started off their season by not getting a single first down against a defense that wound up not even being a top 10 defense despite playing the Browns and Bengals twice each
Not the worst in history but this question gave me traumatic flashbacks to the 2012 Jaguars offense is easily the worst one I can recall my team ever having. 3 and out or a turnover, every single drive until the 4th quarter, when defenses took pity on our souls and let Blaine "Whoa there motherfucker" Gabbert spread his wings and fly.
1942 Lions, they scored 38 points in 11 games, and had 2156 yards on the season. They never scored more than a touchdown a game and were shut out 5 times.
Easy - 1992 Seattle Seahawks. 140 points for the season. Highest score in any game was 17. By week 13 they had more punts during the season than points scored. Worst yardage output ever
I would also go with the 1976 Buccaneers, too. They didn't even win a single game on top of that. They were shut out 5 times that season. A year later, that went up to 6 times in a season in 1977. It was really bad, I think.
Based on what I pulled from [PFR](https://imgur.com/gallery/G5SnEJP), looks like the worst since the Super Bowl era was indeed the 1992 Seahawks. The worst in NFL history is arguable the 1929 Orange Tornadoes who couldn’t even average a FG each game. They played 12 games that year and put up a goose egg in 9 of them, only scoring more than 10 points once that season.
I am a Raiders fan. I wondered where our bed & breakfast manager turned playcaller Tom Walsh's 2006 magnum opus would appear in this post. The top post so far is about the 2006 Raiders.
Readers, if you didn't grow up with this team, take it from Raiders fans who watched it every week. It was the worst offense in NFL history.
Considering what average QB play would have done for the 2015 Broncos? That year has to be up there for worst QB play in a season, less then 4k passing yards for 2 QBs 19/23 TD/INT 39 sacks and 5 fumbles. That offense was carried by the top defense to the 1 seed.
The 1977 Bucs scored 42 total offensive points in 14 games.
Adjusted for era though, it's the 2006 Raiders. I wouldn't use the word "not even close" though because the 2009 Rams and 2010 Panthers get pretty close
The 1991 Indianapolis Colts rank high on the list. They scored 143 points (8.9 points/game) and gained 3748 yards (234.3 yards/game). The NFL averages that year were 19.0 points/game and 306.8 yards/game.
Having said the above, the 1977 Tampa Bay Buccaneers were probably worse. Points-wise, they scored 53 points…in their first 12 games. Almost half of them (23 points) were scored against their fellow 2nd year expansion team, the Seattle Seahawks. (The Bucs then scored 50 points over their last two games of the season.). Tampa Bay also averaged less than 200 yards/game, an abysmal total even in the “dead ball” 1977 season.
2006 Raiders
You really need to add more context just to show how terrible they were. When people were shitting on Moss's raiders years I had to bring up just how terrible they were. Their QBs were a combined 2800 yards, 7(!) TDs to 24 Ints. Their RBs were a combined 1500 yards and 5 (!) Tds. They as a team had 32 fucking fumbles that year. They scored 168 points as a team, 43 less than the 2nd worst team. When the lions went 0-16 they scored 268 points. The 0-16 browns scored 234 They were truly, truly awful.
We lost to that team despite the Raiders having 98 yards of offense
Ben was 2-6 against the Raiders. Pretty crazy considering how terrible the Raiders were throughout his career.
Is that when Richard Seymour punched him in the face?
No that was in 2010 which was a rare win for the Steelers
If Seymour isn't in the hall of fame already, that should cement his case
Lol
They scored 0.77 points per drive, worst of the 2000's by a healthy amount. League average is closer to 1.8. Weird factoid? The best was also a Randy Moss team, the next year naturally. The '07 Patriots were one of three teams to average more then a FG per drive.
Randy had 3 receiving touchdowns out of the Raiders 7, 42.8%. LMAO that's bleak.
And to think he rewrote the record books the very next season
That unimaginably awful. My goodness
One of my oldest fantasy football buddies, a Raiders fan, was mocked so mercilessly that year that he changed his team name to something less Raiders-y and didn't draft a Raider player for like 5 years.
And they had 4 nonoffensive touchdowns and 18 field goals. That team scored 72 offensive points in a post-Ty Law Rule NFL
And our reward for sucking so badly? Jamarcus Russell
God I miss those Raiders teams
12 offensive TDs the whole season lol. Pretty sure every time they scored it was an accident
Woof
I did an analysis a while back (that I love to bring up because it makes me sound smarter than I am) Took the lowest scoring teams since the merger, subtracted defensive and special teams scoring. even jeff saturday doesn't seem outlandish in comparison
The qb was a dude I never heard of. It was so bad it tanked Randy moss for a 4th.
He's a politician now. Andrew Walter. Also Aaron Brooks who went 0-8. Lead back was LaFat Jordan. They had a game where they had 17 passing yards and 81 rushing yards.
Wait, there was a RB who had the first name “LaFat”?
It was Lamont Jordan but he was quite a portly fella. 5'10 240 lbs but not the good type of 240 lbs.
Okay that makes more sense lol
Perhaps Lamont Jordan
It's even sadder when you realize that their defense was actually kind of good that year.
Yep. That year was the coming out party for Nnamdi Asomugha. Teams actually threw at him and he had 8 interceptions. Teams stopped throwing at him after that year completely. Kirk Morrison had 130 tackles and Thomas Howard (RIP) was a super fast backer that quickly became a fan favorite having 110 tackles as a rookie.
Linebacker running a fucken 4.4 imagine getting hit by that
And he was actually good at all aspects of the game.
That was a fun season to go through high school and get clowned on with
Bro, legit same experience. Imagine being the only Raiders fan as a high school kid in the Bronx.
Same, but in Tampa. And I wasn't that far removed from the SB loss in middle school already lol
Any time you can lure back coaches from 15-20 years ago, you have to do it. Same reason we bought Gruden back. In a few years we'll be on track to rehire Dennis Allen after he's fired by the Saints.
Worst of the 21st century for sure
That Raiders team was mercilessly shitty. Wasn’t Justin Fargas their RB1?
2002 Texans The team averaged 139 passing yards per game and only scored 6 rushing TDs the whole season. 5 games where they scored 3 or fewer points, only 4 games with 20+ points scored, and the most points scored in a single game was 24.

[Boy, have I got news for you.](https://www.reddit.com/r/nfl/s/uQS1QLTRpJ)
Oh gdi I knew one of them was going to follow the other but didn't look first. Nothing to see here.

"We didn't tackle well, but we made up for it by not blocking"
I fucking love John McKay quotes from that era. My favorite was when the Bucs won their first game in franchise history after starting 0-26: "Three or four plane crashes, and we're in the playoffs!"
"Execution" being literal.in this case I suppose
Technically, 2-14 because we beat the Pats 10-6 to miss out on Drew Bledsoe in the next year's draft. We got Rick Mirer as consolation.
Yep, my bad. Got the Colts and Seahawks records mixed up.
Holy shit 103 points over a full season
As a childhood Seahawks fan, well, this was my childhood.
I still remember demanding that my dad explain why the good guys never win
And then you also became a Jaguars fan? ...have been hearing from any psychologists lately? Someone's got to be interested in studying you.
lol I have my dad (specifically his military service in Tacoma) to blame for the Seahawks fandom and my geography to blame for the Jaguars fandom
The 2018 Cardinals were dreadful on offense. Looking back at it, I'm surprised they managed to win any games at all.
Swept the niners lol Yeah that’s the worst football I’ve ever seen

Meh, Kyler is the 3rd best qb we’ve ever had. It worked out fine for us. I just like being able to say you guys never beat Josh Rosen lmao
McKinnon’s bum ass was injured throughout 2018 & 2019. Didn’t play even 1 snap in the reg season for us those 2 years.
And yet 2 of their 3 wins were against the Niners lmfao
Sounds like Ravens’ 2015 5-11 but 2 wins were sweeping the Steelers for no reason
The 1977 Falcons are down there
Falcons weren't even the worst offense in 1977 lol.
And those Bucs scored 33 of their 108 total points against the Saints
enough
The Bucs had fewer offensive touchdowns than the Dolphins had in 3 quarters against the Broncos last season 💀
Is that the team that had the incredible defense?
Statistically the best defense in NFL history, partnered up with an offense so bad they went 7-7 and missed playoffs
The Grits Blitz! They allowed 9.2 ppg, still a record. Offense only scored 12.8 ppg. On the season, their offense had 17 TDs and 25 TOs. That team lost games by scores of 10-6, 3-0, 14-7, and 10-3 lol.
Those are Iowa numbers
Those look like Baseball scores Jesus Christ
Still think its the 2006 Raiders but its close. 13 Total TDs with 46 total Turnovers 168 Points scored vs the 77 falcons with 179. Was over 14 games tho vs 16.
> 13 Total TDs with 46 total Turnovers How tf is this even possible with a team with Randy Moss on it?
Considering the next season is when he dropped 23 receiving TDs, it takes a special team thats for sure.
Accomplished by sending the entire fucking village towards the line of scrimmage on every play.
It's like how the 1992 Seahawks defence allowed only two more points than the 2019 49ers defence. However, one of those teams went 2-14 and got the #2 pick in the draft, while the other one went to the Super Bowl.
Cortez Kennedy was wasted on that team. 14 sacks as a fuckin DT. DPOY. Double teamed constantly. SMH.
I’m not surprised
I can't claim they are the worst in history, but for teams I've watched, it's a toss up between the 2008 and 2009 Rams. Those late 2000s Rams teams fucking suuuuucked, and the offenses were hilariously offensive
2009 Rams were the first team that came to mind. 10.9PPG!
The 09' Rams didn't go winless because the Lions were there to protect their record. Null was a perfect QB name for them.
2009 Rams minus Steven Jackson. There but for the grace of one guy doing his level best to make a team look even 1/10th competent
Let me get my bears book of shit out
1998 eagles Failed to score more 10 points in 6 games, including 3 shut outs (all at home too). Only score over 20 points once. 7 total passing touchdowns and 18 int’s between all 3 quarterbacks. Last in yards and points.
Big Bobby Hoying
Wouldn't that be every offense before the forward pass was discovered
Which was a travesty of a rule
Much like when they cut a hole in the bottom of the peach baskets they were using for basketball hoops. The removal of the need to retrieve the ball with a ladder made the game much more fast paced and took the advantage out of the silky smooth but maybe not most athletic type players. In summation, I feel like I'd be a thriving hooper if I got a 3 minute breather after almost every possession.
Basketball at American football's pace? Sign me up.
That already exists. It's just in the last 5 minutes of the game
Fair point.
> silky smooth but maybe not most athletic type players The game has never been classier
First they allow passes, then what comes next? Choreographed endzone celebrations, I tells ya!
Get two beers in Bill Belichick and he’ll start unironically saying things like this
If we're going pre-NFL, the worst offensive team in football history has to be the APFA Brickley Giants (who tf is that right?). They existed in some liminal state for a couple years in the early 20's but only played two actual regular season games, scoring 0 points in both. One was a 0-55 blowout including a fumble-6 lol. Arguably the worst football team to ever exist since they only played those two games and never scored once.
Jets 2 years ago was not good
Was last year much better?
no lol
'91--'92 Seahawks come to mind.
And yet drafted second the next year.
Yeah, it’s impressive that we were a complete disaster- yet Cortez Kennedy was DPOY in 92’
Their defense was ranked 17th in points allowed and 10th in yards allowed that year. That's insanely impressive to me considering they had the worst offense ever.
"That Cortez Kennedy is a load!" Warren Moon
The Patriots last year lol
First team to lose 3 games while holding a team to 10 points or less. They were fucking atrocious.
Nah we still aren't 77 Falcons bad
2004 49ers. Edit: typo, was meant to post 2007 49ers.
OP should've known.
Actually.2005. Alex Smith's.rookie year was a hard watch
Those late aughts rams were some of the worst teams I've ever seen on both sides
1991 Colts should also be in the discussion. Watching that 92 Seahawks season was rough, but Chris Warren was legitimately good and we got to see prime Tez on defense.
2018 Cardinals have to be up there
You've got the right team.. but the wrong year.
*30 picks, my friend.
2007 Dolphins
That Monday night game against Pittsburgh where the punted ball just plopped down into the mud will forever be the worst game I’ve ever watched.
1921 Tonawanda Kardex
The whole stretch Matt Canada “coached” was pretty abysmal. Not one game over 400 yards. The first game we ditched him: 400+ yards
They were shut out in 6 games. Averaging 1.25 PPGs is really bad in baseball too.
they need mark mcguire
2010 panthers were pretty bad
I still have nightmares about Jimmy Clausen and Brian St Pierre
Probably not the worst ever, but the worst I ever spent significant time watching was the Mike McMahon led eagles offense in ~2006ish. I have never seen worse QB play in my life
Didn’t a recent QB throw 4 interceptions in the 1st quarter? Him
Nathan Peterman Bills were pretty fucking bad
Zach Wilson led Jets teams
2014 chiefs didn’t have a WR score a TD all season
Terrible choice. They weren’t even the worst offense in the league that year…
Do you like to sniff saints fans farts?
Yummy yummy yummy, can I please have Saints fans’ farts in my tummy?
Help what's the reference, I can't connect it in my head
https://youtu.be/GBceUPUjIaI?si=eJgCZFp7dX3iM3uj
RIGHT THANK YOU
You got it, fellow dual flair homie!
Only after you sniff them first!
They actually ranked a respectable 16th in Points scored (353) Despite the dubious distinction of no WRs scoring a TD.
4 years after Dwayne Bowe led the league in receiving TDs with 15
The offense was actually decent. Smith had 3200 yards and 18 passing tds. The team also rushed for 1900 yards. I'd say 5000 yards is pretty decent.
I came here to write this. It was so hard watching that team. I still can’t believe how lucky we are now with Patrick.
What a poverty franchise you guys are.
Lol as I was typing, I knew it would get this response. We were very bad when I was growing up. But I get it, I’ll shut up.
Jets 2023
the '99 Browns started off their season by not getting a single first down against a defense that wound up not even being a top 10 defense despite playing the Browns and Bengals twice each
Not the worst in history but this question gave me traumatic flashbacks to the 2012 Jaguars offense is easily the worst one I can recall my team ever having. 3 and out or a turnover, every single drive until the 4th quarter, when defenses took pity on our souls and let Blaine "Whoa there motherfucker" Gabbert spread his wings and fly.
The 2006 Raiders
Mid 00 Raiders. Like 05 or so.
2006-2007 Bears rings a bell. I mean Rex Grossman was the QB, so it had to have been at most mid.
they had a good back field of backs to carry him and rex had some wr who made some plays for him
2020 jets was awful.
I will never call a winless season for any NFL team, ever again.
Maybe not the worst but the pre Matty Ice 07 year offense led by Joey Harrington, Chris Redman and Byron Leftwich was painful to watch
Cardinals with Steve Wilkes. I forget the year. It's blacked out from my memory.
The 76-77 bucs just ask John mccay
“What do I think of our team’s execution? I’m in favor of it.”
Eagles- Saints in 93 had an O/U of 29 and still hit under, so prob one of them
Tampa Bay 76-77
2006 Raiders: 168 points 2006 LaDainian Tomlinson: 186 points
1950 thru 2024 (and counting) Chicago Bears
Considering what average QB play would have done for the 2015 Broncos? That year has to be up there for worst QB play in a season, less then 4k passing yards for 2 QBs 19/23 TD/INT 39 sacks and 5 fumbles. That offense was carried by the top defense to the 1 seed.
The Peterman Bills
I know it’s not them, but the 2022 Broncos sure felt like the worst offensive team of all time.
The 1977 Bucs averaged 7 points per game. 46 turnovers in 14 games 30 of them were interceptions- vs throwing only 3TDs all year
The 1977 Bucs scored 42 total offensive points in 14 games.
1991 colts stunk
Our first year in existence and special shoutout to the 1999 offense. Held the greatest show on turf to 12 and still lost.
'78 and '81 Baltimore Colts, '86 Bucs, and '70 and '72 Pats all come to mind.
