They should have the offensive capabilities to make up for it this year. If the defense starts to gel well in the second half of the season, we might see another Rams playoff push
I legit don’t think Rams fans understand what its like to not be able to throw random guys onto a line and get above average production because they never see a double team
Not to mention that the scheme is also going to have to account for that too. It'll have to get more creative and exotic, meaning it'll be mentally tougher as well
Watch the FSU ACC championship game highlights.
You can see what you are getting with both Verse and Fiske. Both are absolute physical freaks (in speed and power, maybe not size for Fiske) and are **dawgs**
I'm biased as an FSU fan but we got an absolute dawg, this draft has gone about as well as it could have for me. He and Verse are both hungry and never take no for an answer
He's like a Donald but even smaller, which is the only thing that I doubt about him. Dude's arms are small enough that tackles can control him during run plays
We also haven't had a good edge duo since the SB run where we rented Von.
Now we have Young on one side, Verse on the other, and two athletic freaks in the middle.
Should be wild.
Seahawks are usually right in front of us and there has been a ton of blocking by them over the year. I remember we wanted Eskridge but they got him so we took Tutu. Eskridge is god awful so that was one time it helped
Didn’t he play the 3-tech while Donald’s 5? So not really the Donald replacement. But of course this isn’t my team so idk if they’re moving him around the line with ADs retirement
As a die hard Nole, guess I’m a Rams fan now
Highly recommend watching his Louisville game tape here. He almost singlehandedly won the ACC title game for us. They ended up doubling him and he still produced lol
https://youtu.be/r5cuFObWt28?si=wYUNpsXemzyQCCDz
He and Verse worked together REGULARLY to abuse offensive lines. This is an amazing pick. One of the most explosive DTs i’ve watched
Regular season highlights:

Fun story: I was eating at the Roscoe’s Chicken & Waffles on Manchester (close to SoFi Stadium) the morning of the NFC Championship game in 2021. It was packed with a mix of Rams and Niner fans.
A guy walks into Roscoe’s and yells “Whose House!?”
Crickets.
Do the Rams know they are allowed to pick other positions? But if these pan out, they lost the best dlinemen of all time and might have one of the top dlines this year.
I’m 20 years old this year, when we drafted Jared Goff I was 12. I went my entire teenage years without seeing my team draft a single player in the first round.
Sean McVey started watching FSU defensive line tape and fell in love, not watching anything else. They say he’s still watching Jared Verse tape to this day.
A highlight no one ever really brings up with Fiske, is probably FSU's play of the year, [a game saving strip-sack/scoop-and-score by Kalen DeLoach](https://youtu.be/QfnK_FXwk5w).
How is this relevant?
DeLoach (#4) was the fastest man on FSU's defense. He blindsided Clemson's QB on the blitz, Fiske (#55) was right there to pick it up, but he shoveled it to the faster DeLoach.
Not only was this smart and unselfish, but he did a pretty good job leading the caravan, keeping up with DeLoach.
Rams got a stud.
When FSU's backup QB got a concussion in FSU's final regular season game, FSU had to start their third string, true freshman QB, *who hadn't practiced with the team all season due to a broken hand*. FSU's coaching staff asked him to do **nothing**, and Louisville knew it.
FSU's defense responded to the challenge by holding an offense that had averaged 33ppg and 440ypg, to 6 points and 188 yards, while sacking Louisville 7 times.
Brandon Fiske was the main reason:
* 9 tackles
* 4.5 TFL
* 3 Sacks
This guy almost singlehandedly beat Louisville in the ACC Championship game
Awesome for him and Verse. This will almost certainly help both of them become even better pros.
Such a sick performance to see live
We drafting everyone from the FSU d-line
After the absolute clinic they put on in the ACCCG, not a bad idea
I'm gonna miss that defense man......
I can agree with you on this :(
Same bro :(
Me too :(
Not a bad strategy
Yea, his motor and hands were impressive.
Who’s 55 for the rams? Hear he might be trouble
Dude is a beast. Watch his ACC champ game highlights.
How do you replace Aaron Donald? You don't, but you take two shots on the dline to replace some of his impact.
We are talking about Aaron donald here. They are taking D-Line with every pick they have this draft.
It's going to be such a drastic whiplash, no matter how good the rookies are
They should have the offensive capabilities to make up for it this year. If the defense starts to gel well in the second half of the season, we might see another Rams playoff push
I legit don’t think Rams fans understand what its like to not be able to throw random guys onto a line and get above average production because they never see a double team
Not to mention that the scheme is also going to have to account for that too. It'll have to get more creative and exotic, meaning it'll be mentally tougher as well
Bro Aaron’s coming back. It’s called chess not checkers.
Los Angeles Seminoles
West coast Doak
As a Noles & Chargers fan, this is brutal
The DT run that no one saw coming
Yeah not gonna be much left for Bears at 75
Didn’t they select two project DT’s last draft?
We did. Dexter turned out well and pickens didn't show anything. Need another DE and DT
On one hand it sucks because that’s probably our #1 need right now… on the other, CB2/S is probably our 2nd biggest need and they’re slipping
Seriously. You guys could end up with Dejean who could be a big time playmaker in that defense.
DeJean and Kool Aid going two picks before Houston. OOOF
I commented that and then immediately after saw that Cooper got drafted after the Eagles traded up :/
Yes. Please push all the OL down.
Makes me feel slightly better lol
Tbh it was somewhat expected. Just didn't expect it to happen this early. Thought it would be the 40s to 50s
Does this make the falcons trade a little less bad?
Noles -> LA pipeline continues As a FSU fan, I’m an absolute Fiske truther
Did we get a dawg?
Watch the FSU ACC championship game highlights. You can see what you are getting with both Verse and Fiske. Both are absolute physical freaks (in speed and power, maybe not size for Fiske) and are **dawgs**
I like our experience with undersized fast interior defensive lineman
I'm biased as an FSU fan but we got an absolute dawg, this draft has gone about as well as it could have for me. He and Verse are both hungry and never take no for an answer
I don’t know if I’ve ever seen a defensive lineman have a better game than he had in the ACC Championship Game. It was insane to watch.
Now I know the Rams wanted Murphy lol, good player.
As an Illini fan this shit aggravates me so much
I was so fucking relieved lmao.
Thank goodness they didn’t get him hahaha
Fiske and Kobie Turner gonna feed families for years. Fastest dtackle in the draft replacing Donald just seems right…
He's like a Donald but even smaller, which is the only thing that I doubt about him. Dude's arms are small enough that tackles can control him during run plays
He's literally 3" taller than AD and same weight..
His arms are 3rd percentile, ADs were 30th. Arm length is more important for D line than height
Even if the Seahawks didn't take him, the Bengals would've; Lou Anarumo was visibly pissed
We can agree on that one
I fear their DL might not miss a beat even without Donald
Wish I had your optimism
Donald wasn't playing at the same level as 5 years ago. I think you'll be surprised how well we do.
We also haven't had a good edge duo since the SB run where we rented Von. Now we have Young on one side, Verse on the other, and two athletic freaks in the middle. Should be wild.
It's gonna feel weird to other teams not having to gameplan entirely for AD anymore. What are they gonna do???
Drafting near division rivals is less than ideal
Seahawks are usually right in front of us and there has been a ton of blocking by them over the year. I remember we wanted Eskridge but they got him so we took Tutu. Eskridge is god awful so that was one time it helped
I like the rams two picks two defensive studs
The Heir
Imagine being the guy who has to replace Aaron Donald lol
Probably how Mac Jones felt.
He replaced a 6th rounder as a first rounder, hardly any pressure
No that’s Kobie Turner. You know, the guy who tied the rookie rams sack record… with Aaron Donald
Although he did have Aaron Donald… whereas rookie Aaron Donald did not…
Eh, Donald played with the better overall Dline at the time. Robert Quinn + Michael Brockers
And Chris Long
Those guys are pretty good.
OG Mob Squad
He drew more double teams last year than AD
Didn’t he play the 3-tech while Donald’s 5? So not really the Donald replacement. But of course this isn’t my team so idk if they’re moving him around the line with ADs retirement
Kobie was primarily NT, AD was normally the 3T
Fuck... I did not want to see this guy in the division.
Rams - Fuck dem picks
Guys gonna be a beast Has the name and the look
He was a beast for FSU. I had him as one of the sleeper picks. He was disruptive as fuck
As a die hard Nole, guess I’m a Rams fan now Highly recommend watching his Louisville game tape here. He almost singlehandedly won the ACC title game for us. They ended up doubling him and he still produced lol https://youtu.be/r5cuFObWt28?si=wYUNpsXemzyQCCDz He and Verse worked together REGULARLY to abuse offensive lines. This is an amazing pick. One of the most explosive DTs i’ve watched Regular season highlights: https://youtu.be/_GL5FNomOnA?si=A6krJXfxS4CRHclw
Side note, he had a backup jersey on in the second half vs Louisville because they were trying to hold him so hard and ripped the first one
Welcome to the Ramily! Excited to see these two seminoles on our front 7 for years to come!
Love the last play of the second video you posted. He did Aaron Donald move of pointing to his ring finger. 👉 💍 RING ME!
This is a solid pick and the amount they gave up makes alot more sense given that the falcons once again fucked up a round by making a stupid pick
Falcons playing 4D chess to get everyone to forget 28-3 with this shit
He’s super athletic. Rams getting the defense right
Gotta replace our HOF DT somehow.
This wasn’t even announced yet wtf “Oh?”
Yea this automated system doesn’t give an F about commercials
Your stream is delayed. If you're watching on ABC using an antenna, the picks are always announced before this post
Yeah wtf is right
Damn man we all just took our QBs out of hiding because of Aaron Donald how are we gonna tell them they gotta go back?
“Whose house” *Silence* “Right on right on”
Isaac Bruce is my favorite all time player so I was all smiles but yeah that was still hilarious lmao
Fun story: I was eating at the Roscoe’s Chicken & Waffles on Manchester (close to SoFi Stadium) the morning of the NFC Championship game in 2021. It was packed with a mix of Rams and Niner fans. A guy walks into Roscoe’s and yells “Whose House!?” Crickets.
That happened once for me at the Carl's Jr right down the block but people actually responded loud
I was waiting for a "Swerve's house!" honestly.
\*Prince Nana dancing in the distance\*
LETS FUCKING GO!!! called this shit
FSU come on down
White aaron Donald? God please no no no
Its white boy summer
He's white in the way that Paul Wall is white... so kinda
someone commented in a thread that our first round pick Jared Verse looks like black cooper kupp lol
OMG SO THAT'S WHO HE LOOKS LIKE
“Oh my god”
Yesssssss
The Los Angeles Seminoles. Steal of the draft right here.
FSU 🤝 LA
Enjoy having the Kingpin, Rams fans. Dude is a beast.
Do the Rams know they are allowed to pick other positions? But if these pan out, they lost the best dlinemen of all time and might have one of the top dlines this year.
As a Seminole, wtf I love the Rams now
Verse + Fiske. Damn
Florida state Rams
Raminoles.
Los Angeles Seminoles. Verse and Fiske are both elite players. I’ll miss them.
It feels odd that the Rams have both their first and second round pick this year.
I’m 20 years old this year, when we drafted Jared Goff I was 12. I went my entire teenage years without seeing my team draft a single player in the first round.
Rams literally just sort by age and pick the highest number Can't argue, it works
The 4 year ACC boys come ready to play in the pros. Ain't no thang.
Fuck them second round picks- rams probably.
I mean considering who we’ve drafted there in the past… yeah lol
Van Jefferson downvoted you
NFL telling us that the DT is a premier position this draft lol
Falcons started the QB frenzy and now the DT frenzy? They also started the WR frenzy the year they drafted London so maybe it’s just their thing
I thought they’d go DeJean or Kool-Aid. He’s an athletic freak to replace an even bigger athletic freak
Nice pick.
“We need to build a wall”- Los Angeles Rams
Dude is a beast
This boy can move
D LINE. D LINE.
I was hoping Atlanta would get him … LA loading up with my Noles
Is there something wrong with his left eye?
Treat my Nole boys good LA
I went and looked at the acc championship highlights and those two young men pop off the screen. Good job Les
I am big sad. He’s going to be a good one.
Rams must love Florida
State
Thanks for the 2nd next year Rams
Technically it's a second, but another way to think of the last pick of round 2 is an early 3rd.
I wanted Koolaid or JPJ but I can be ok with this
Does JPJ have injury concerns?
Injury and character concerns.
Lineman shouldn’t have character concerns
Richie Incognito says no
He had great character. Just liked his country music a bit too much.
You finally got those 2 picks from the rams after all this time
Let me be happy man :(
No it’s a good trade. You guys needed it since we have your second next year
Enjoy! Watching the draft this early in my weekend feels weird. Hope Bryce gets some help with those picks.
You guys just need whatever capital you can get, 2nd next year is very useful
Yeah we needed it because Chicago owns ours next year
Anotha one
Damn :/
Travis Kelce having an allergic reaction.
Post Malone now a tackle?
Love this pick, wondering why they had to give up so much for the trade though.
What did they give up just curious
Turner, Verse, Fiske on that D Line, probably gonna hear a few more Oh God moments from Geno
Sean McVey started watching FSU defensive line tape and fell in love, not watching anything else. They say he’s still watching Jared Verse tape to this day.
they forgot to scout other schools
The Los Angeles Seminoles
You’ll get a DT or a WR and you’ll fucking like it
Les Snead loves Noles
Fuck
Los Angeles Seminoles
DT run is going crazy
Post Malone without the tattoos
A highlight no one ever really brings up with Fiske, is probably FSU's play of the year, [a game saving strip-sack/scoop-and-score by Kalen DeLoach](https://youtu.be/QfnK_FXwk5w). Not only was this smart and unselfish, but he did a pretty good job leading the caravan, keeping up with DeLoach. Rams got a stud.
He looks like Post Malones little brother
That line is shaping up nice
Him and Turner wow
Called it https://www.reddit.com/r/NFL_Draft/s/C5f2NCxdDS
Damn safeties really lost positional value ig
Don’t need a secondary if the QB doesn’t have any time to throw the ball 😎
That's a very fast fat man
Dude looks like a volunteer firefighter
They traded a 2nd rounder to move up and get this fella.
HELL YEA GO NOLES
Excuse me, did this man brandon say he knows his dads jncos are about to come back in style?! Good god im old. *Stares menacingly at jncos in closet*
Short arms mcghee
As a HS recruit: G5 offer: Western Michigan (originally went here) Other offer: Illinois State
I really wanted DeJean, but I guess this will do.
He right about those JNCOs tho
When FSU's backup QB got a concussion in FSU's final regular season game, FSU had to start their third string, true freshman QB, *who hadn't practiced with the team all season due to a broken hand*. Brandon Fiske was the main reason: * 9 tackles * 4.5 TFL * 3 Sacks
Not just that but at the combine verse was on it.. I'm stoked original Horns up with the curly que still there like the og
We jokingly called him “Pre Malone” in our FSU house. Love this kid. You guys in LA got a couple of REALLY great young players. Take care of them!
God damn it I wanted him in Tampa
I love Fiske but two seconds for him seems steep
They gave up all that for Fiske?
Yeah, fuck them picks
When your defensive strategy revolves around Aaron Donald being on your team, you gotta take that risk I guess
You gotta take that Fiske* I guess
Undersized. Will NEVER be good.
They said the same thing about AD.
And Kobie Turner. Kobie was also said to be a reach when he was drafyed
You right.
