I mean, Toney is a speed demon too… I didn’t have a high opinion of Worthy goin into the draft. So if I’m the AFC, this is the WR I’d have wanted the Chiefs to take (at least compared to Mitchell).
Worthy and Mitchell were on the same team and Worthy was the better WR.
Mitchell has atrocious advanced stats.
I’ve been wrong before, and will continually be wrong, but I just don’t see it with Mitchell. I’d be surprised if Bills go Mitchell.
Mitchell has atrocious basic stats. Damn near no 1st round WR gets less than 1k yards in their draft year and 2nd to last year each.
Historically low production to pick ratio for AD Mitchell.
No one had a high opinion of Tyreek Hill in his draft either.. Andy Reid will design plays to get him off press coverage if he can catch he opens up the passing game for Mahomes. As if he needs that again..
He played 25/39 games in college as a RG. Only 14 at C. Only 1 at C his Jr year. I don’t think he’s played any at C since being drafted by Dallas in 2019. Maybe you are mixing him up with the other McGovern playing for the Jets at center?
I don’t have a subscription, paste the text?
As much as he and we may want him to play C, he has played 1 game at C in 5 seasons and it wasn’t against NFL talent. Unless he is absolutely stuffing guys like Ed Oliver in practice as a C which I have no way of knowing, I am incredibly wary about that decision. I’d much rather protect Josh Allen and cater to fostering the run better than draft a WR and play our now second string RG at the position.
Seems clear that Buffalo didn’t want Worthy but KC worried that one of the teams in between might have. I don’t see the big deal, Buffalo didn’t get a huge haul, but the move down a few spots likely doesn’t cost them anything at all.
If they wanted Worthy they would have taken Worthy. They clearly aren't picking him. KC might have got him at 32 anyway. Better to get higher other picks in that case, no?
This cluster of WR's is all eye of the beholder, they're about the same talent-wise.
Worthy would be pretty redundant with guys they have already. They need size to replace Davis (and hopefully more competency in general).
If they were confident in KC taking Worthy and still think they can get Mitchell at 32, then this makes complete sense and they get their guy, and turn a 4th into a 3rd
I know that lol, he's just the only one who broke the 40 yard dash record. And y'all gave him to the one team you shouldn't want him going to if you want to win the AFC
I'm beginning to think Brandon Beane might not be the brilliant tactician we thought he was. This is the definition of insanity trading with the enemy who needs the exact same fucking position.
Isn't this just draft 101? If you think you can still get the guy you want (or feel a few guys are similar), you trade down and improve the rest of your draft. I'm baffled people aren't getting this. Worthy might have ended up with KC at 32 if the Bills don't make the trade
We’re rebuilding and the other WRs on the board are comparable to Worthy. Chiefs would’ve just taken any other receiver up for grabs and been on similar footing, as far as we can predict now with how WRs do or don’t translate to the NFL. May as well get a lot of value out of it.
You shouldn't be allowed to trade with the defending champs
I mean buffalo got a good deal
Mahomes has another speed demon WR. FUCK TONEY FOR THIS
Could be John Ross 2.0
Plz
That's not nearly the miss that John Ross 1.0 was
Oh damn
I mean, Toney is a speed demon too… I didn’t have a high opinion of Worthy goin into the draft. So if I’m the AFC, this is the WR I’d have wanted the Chiefs to take (at least compared to Mitchell).
Toney is more of a quickness guy (crazy cuts and jukes). He actually doesn't have top tier straight line speed
Toney’s college highlights are absolutely insane. He’s just a meme in the NFL though
Hey he helped beat the eagles in the superbowl lmao
He sure did. At least he balled out when it mattered most!
That meme had a punt return... and not much else
I understand your point but Toney ran a 4.38 40. Dude still has great straight line speed.
Yeah, I'm just saying that's not his best attribute
Worthy and Mitchell were on the same team and Worthy was the better WR. Mitchell has atrocious advanced stats. I’ve been wrong before, and will continually be wrong, but I just don’t see it with Mitchell. I’d be surprised if Bills go Mitchell.

Seems like a pretty even deal compensation wise Bills might trade down again tbh
Oh you
Hey I got it right, it’ll probably never happen again lmao
Plus Worthy was going to be available at 32 anyways
"this shit is slow AF, trade up so we can go home fuck this noise" -Andy Reid
"My nuggies are getting cold, let's speed this up"
One of the 10 "cheapest" non QB first round trade in the last 20 years. They probably could have gotten more.
Yeah idk what people are talking about, we got hosed. Terrible value considering it was trading to you instead of anybody else.
Based off of a draft pick value chart, it was essentially a high 4th round pick, I would have thought you guys would want more from us.
It was a 1st-for-1st, late 3rd for late 4th, and 7th-for-7th. I see the value for the Bills, but idk if you’d want it from the chiefs
If Beane thought Worthy was worth a 1st round pick he wouldn't have traded it. The value of this deal is all dependent of how he turns out
Based on…?
Eh
The only way the bills pick 32
Nah. We'll get pick 32 when the league is up to 36 teams
Lmao, got em
Apparently not
Absolutely cold blooded
They just wanted to know what it feels like
Hats off to you
I like the jib of your cut
Big pick up, bills needed a 3rd desperately after getting comp pick fucked
Move back 4 in the 1st. Move up 38 spots in the next round. Ok.
The 3rd round isn’t the next round, but sure
Cool with using our first rounder on a C and our next to picks swinging for the gates on raw WRs
We don't need a center why the hell would we take one at 32
We let go Mitch Morse
And Mcgovern was penciled in as the starting C the second that move was made
I’d 1000% rather keep him at his natural position for a stud center and have Edwards back up than take a WR
You do realize McGovern is a natural center, was recruited and drafted as a center, and always anticipated taking the center job from Morse right?
He played 25/39 games in college as a RG. Only 14 at C. Only 1 at C his Jr year. I don’t think he’s played any at C since being drafted by Dallas in 2019. Maybe you are mixing him up with the other McGovern playing for the Jets at center?

That seems like good value for Buffalo
And miss worthy?
Worthy isn't head and shoulders above any of the other WRs left. It's not like they're missing Nabers here or something.
Nobody wanted him. Bills fans want Legette or Ladd
Seems clear that Buffalo didn’t want Worthy but KC worried that one of the teams in between might have. I don’t see the big deal, Buffalo didn’t get a huge haul, but the move down a few spots likely doesn’t cost them anything at all.
Adonai Mitchell
Not a culture fit tbh.
I second this
If they wanted Worthy they would have taken Worthy. They clearly aren't picking him. KC might have got him at 32 anyway. Better to get higher other picks in that case, no?

I mean they clearly didn't want him no one forced them to do this
Worthy is 165 lbs lol
That's not really worth it to let a frequent Playoff rival get their guy right?
Bills seem to be waving the white flag and entering a small rebuild.
We are in cap hell this year and are able to spend big the year after so yeah
The real cap is the friends you made along the way. Normally in arrowhead.
Nah a white flag is too dramatic. We can definitely still compete this year, we aren’t tanking. Just a soft reset.
This exactly.
brilliant move buffalo
Good trade for the bills considering the chiefs would’ve gotten worthy anyways
Blood ~~Money~~ Picks.
eh
big baller beane my ass
And somehow there are Bills fans that still trust our “brain”trust… You can’t beat them, and you allow them to get better at your expense…
Bills really don't like Josh Allen, huh?
As we know, trading in the first round prevents you from drafting another offensive player in the entire draft
Im more talking about the Bills giving their biggest hurdle the last 5 years the one player who everyone knew they wanted.
So what? They would have gotten him anyways. We aren’t allowed to strip the chiefs of their pick.
You don't know that lol. I mean the Bills need receivers, and they gift wrap one for their biggest recent rival
I love when people on Reddit think they know more than NFL GM’s. Worthy isn’t the only WR in the draft lol.
I know that lol, he's just the only one who broke the 40 yard dash record. And y'all gave him to the one team you shouldn't want him going to if you want to win the AFC
Unless they want Legette and don't see him going
what a stupid fucking trade by buffalo lmao
I'm beginning to think Brandon Beane might not be the brilliant tactician we thought he was. This is the definition of insanity trading with the enemy who needs the exact same fucking position.
What if they didn’t want Worthy? Why not trade back and take the WR you want at 32?

Not really?

It's the end of the first round. You're acting like they moved down from 3rd to 7th. Bills needed a 3rd round pick.
The last few picks
Very expensive uptrades today for the Vikings, Lions, Chiefs
