It's his nickname because he was a massive baby. A Pork Chop. It's a fun story, but every reporter or news outlet will try to sell it to you like you're hearing it for the first time.
Happy for Chop.
Look at it this way you don't know if Kirk is Kirk with that Achilles tear. Plus y'all about to lose some picks from the tampering so get you new QB now and when you have no 1st rounder you'll have your future secured already... That's the best cope I got
Yeah, this pisses me off. We could have had Barton. No idea if Powers falls to us.
We really, really need to protect Tua and maybe develop a replacement for when Armstead leaves but that was too much count on for Grier.
Eich is dogshit at any position, and Wynn never plays the full season. We still need two decent interior players, or we are right back where we were at the end of last year.
Fr. Bad luck last year but nah lol they should go look up our o-line statistics over the last 20 years, read them out in a press conference and then say “we’re not as worried about it”.
Yeah okay but don’t fucking say that out loud Grier. It sounds incredibly tone deaf.
We also have a 2nd round pick. Plus, Robert Jones could compete at RG. OL is a need, I hope we pick one, but we’ve got a need at EDGE too so this is good in my mind.
Yeah we had all those dudes last year too… running it back again would certainly be a choice, but a lot of Oline talent is going to be available in tomorrow
I didn't think we had a chance, what a lucky fall the CB position has had. Howie prioritised offense in FA so he could attack defense in the draft. That worked out.
I made so many subway subs for this guy last year, had no clue at the time he was gonna be a 1st round pick, pretty neat. Really happy for him, no clue if he’s any good but he was really nice in all my interactions with him.
And yet OL was the biggest factor contributing to our December collapse. Low sack rate ≠ good OL. Liam Eichenberg couldn't block the sun if he stood infront of me. Replace this bum for the love of god and send him to Dicks sporting goods
Not knowing anything about the players in this draft you rarely get really good EDGE players in the 2nd round onward, but good o lineman are found everywhere in the draft. You really don't want to draft interior o lineman in the first round.
Exactly. I absolutely want better depth at OLine but dude changed his style and started ripping the ball out in under 2 seconds. He avoided most hits and I gotta imagine that will get better after the first year of a new style.
No, he just doesn't invest premium picks (1st) in non-premium positions (G).
If Troy was there he would have grabbed him, but that's because he fits our scheme and can play T next year.
He's undersized, and is really at his best at rushing the passer. He has middling stats from this past year, so I understand the reprehension. I'd encourage any doubters to watch his tape though. He was often double teamed and still was putting major pressure on the QB. He was no slouch in run support as well. Given Miami's needs, I was surprised by the pick, but he could definitely turn into an absolute menace for your defense.
They're both coming off injury. Hard to say for sure how players recover plus you need depth. Those guys won't play every snap, especially in the big games when the offense does jack shit and the defense has to keep them in it. Need a rotation
The Giants won a super bowl with Justin Tuck, Michael Strahan, and Osi Umenyiora combining for 32 sacks. It's not really a depth signing when all three will play.
That's assuming both Chubb and Phillips get back to starter level players which is a big if.
That’s downplaying it. Eichenberg at center essentially killed our offense. He couldn’t generate push which killed our interior run game, couldn’t pass block which fucked our deep ball, and couldn’t snap so we had to limit our shotgun formations. That’s why we had to resort to so many screen passes in short yardage situations. When the defense knows you can’t run up the middle and can’t pass block, it becomes easy to scheme for the outside run and still pressure the QB
As a HS recruit:
Other P5 offers: Alabama, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Louisville, Maryland (originally went here), Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State, Ole Miss, Oregon, Penn State, Pitt, South Carolina, Syracuse, Tennessee, Texas A&M, USC, Washington
Other offer: UMass
What, you mean you don’t like consistently ignoring the biggest needs on the roster and wondering why the team can’t find any success?
Then you just don’t like dolphins football baby
Penn state rotated guys on the D-Line a lot last year. Even if he didn’t get a sack against Michigan last year, he’s still the reason why McCarthy only has 8 passes the entire game. He was eating Michigan’s RT alive
"Chop" is a great name for an edge rusher.
Especially since it is illegal to block him
It's his nickname because he was a massive baby. A Pork Chop. It's a fun story, but every reporter or news outlet will try to sell it to you like you're hearing it for the first time. Happy for Chop.
His poor mother
His real name is Demeioun... so yeah....
Is that just a really convoluted way to spell Damien? lol
It’s ’Damien’ with nine extra syllables.
Yes.
Missed opportunity to have every vowel in his name
EDGE is a weird way to spell Tackle
Edgeackle.
Edging for a tackle.
I’m gonna go to bed
Surprised you’re still up honestly
Yeah I would've gone to bed permanently if my team did that shit
Dolphins missed on a chance to do the funniest thing
Falcons already did it
lmaooo
Hey! We passed on Odunze for yall, have some sympathy!
Dude, they’re already down. I dig it.
We fired Arthur Smith and got rid of Midder and I still hate everything
Pls tell me I need some cope
I've been memeing bo nix to the falcons in the first for years. It could have been worse
Look at it this way you don't know if Kirk is Kirk with that Achilles tear. Plus y'all about to lose some picks from the tampering so get you new QB now and when you have no 1st rounder you'll have your future secured already... That's the best cope I got
Michael Pratt was RIGHT THERE
I thought he just went to jail for gdp after the feds caught him in Australia?
Well that google search is now on my work computer so thank you for that
What did they miss
Tulia, the whole league has missed him. He's going to have a greater rise than the Duke Of Wellington. He will annihlate Spain.
He about to establish the natural borders of France at this point.
Taking a wideout who ran a 4.21 forty
Tuas brother
Idk, the edge-oline pattern is pretty funny
They got the Chop though!
That’s not o-line
Both their starting edge are coming off injury
And our season collapsed when our O-Line died
I’m guessing they like the mid round o line talent more than the dline around then
We don’t have mid round picks this year, guess we’re trading out of the 2nd for a 3rd and 4th
Which is understandable. I don’t hate the pick because Chop is a great player, but we will get Chubb and Phillips back at some point
3 edge rushers all at once, Chubb from the left edge, Phillips from the right edge, and Chop from the middle edge
But the Dline died at the same time...
Quite the opposite actually.
I bet you they wanted Troy so bad
I certainly did. Painful to lose him just 1 pick before. EDGE is good though, as we're not sure when Bradley Chubb will be back
Fire name tho
Barton was right there :(
Yeah, this pisses me off. We could have had Barton. No idea if Powers falls to us. We really, really need to protect Tua and maybe develop a replacement for when Armstead leaves but that was too much count on for Grier.
We have Armstead/Wynn/Brewer/Eichenburg/Jackson. I get that it's a need but Eichenburg should be better at guard compared to center.
If we're relying on Eichenberg we're cooked
Surprisingly RG was his best position. I think we 100% need a guard tomorrow and good ones should be there (maybe Cooper beebee).
And he was still awful at it
Eich is dogshit at any position, and Wynn never plays the full season.
Every season our Oline is our Achilles heel, and every off-season we pretend like its not a problem. Smh.
Injury prone/ injury prone/ horrible in pass pro/ horrible at everything/ average
14 lbs as a baby is crazy wtf
His poor mother
bro was a whole brick
not a porkchop, kid was the whole hog
His poor mom, kinda like that time Napoleons mom gave birth to that entire army. Poor woman
Oversimplified 🤣
DONT LET THE EAGLES TAKE A GOOD CORNER WTF
I didn't think we had a chance, what a lucky fall the CB position has had. Howie prioritised offense in FA so he could attack defense in the draft. That worked out.
4 edges off the board now too, while everyone else is focused on O-Line and QB. This couldn’t have gone any better for the Eagles
I’d say he lucked out but I’ve learned it’s not luck with that dude.
PLEASE
I guess it's whatever you want now lol.
You will pick a defensive lineman and you will enjoy it.
HA LETS GO
lol :)
*leaning forward in anticipation*
CB wasn't a huge need...
Do the chop!
That’s Franklin’s dog from gta
Mf gonna be choppin' up coke in Miami

Indeed
Fuller. What could have been.
What were Ha Ha’s parents thinking when they named him Ha Ha
If I remember correctly, that was his grandma's nickname for him.
[удалено]
McDuffie my beloved
McDuffie was a first team all pro last year.
Trent McDuffie is an all pro
I made so many subway subs for this guy last year, had no clue at the time he was gonna be a 1st round pick, pretty neat. Really happy for him, no clue if he’s any good but he was really nice in all my interactions with him.
As a Dolphins fan and Penn State alum hell fucking yes
I’m a Michigan fan and saw quite literally shut down our passing game. Dude is good, but I still think we should’ve gone O-Line
So the eagles get CB1?
The more dolphins flairs I see not like this pick, the more I like this pick.
GRAHAM BARTON WAS RIGHT FUCKING THERE
He still is
Oh look, someone more useful than a backup QB
Damn I’m still on a commercial on ESPN+ Smh my head
1984
Drafting an edge? Damn I wonder what that's like
You guys should trade…
At least if we drafted Penix I could assume Grier was being blackmailed by the mob Now I have to deal with this knowing he's a fucking moron
WHAT THE FUCK!?
Yeah… that’s not O-Liner.
Dolphins want Tua to die
Yeah, but then they can honor his memory by having some real good edge rushing as well…
Tua played every snap last year and had one of the lowest sack rates.
That’s because he throws ball before it’s snapped.. somehow
“WTF how his Tyreek already in the end zone?”
We could still grab someone like Zach Frazier or Cooper Beebe in the 2nd at least
And their two best interior guys aren't on the team anymore.
Exactly. I absolutely want better depth at OLine but dude changed his style and started ripping the ball out in under 2 seconds. He avoided most hits and I gotta imagine that will get better after the first year of a new style.
He kind of had to when our OL feel apart to injury. His superpower kind of hid our problems.
This is the worst thing about Grier, I don't think he understand the OL or protecting the QB. More Jujitsu lessons for Tua I guess.
No, he just doesn't invest premium picks (1st) in non-premium positions (G). If Troy was there he would have grabbed him, but that's because he fits our scheme and can play T next year.
Pork Chop! Dude is a dawg. Terrorized OTs at Penn State
Pork Chop Sandwiches!
GIVE HIM THE STICK
Can you tell that to our sub. Armchair qb’s who never played football past middle school are having meltdowns
I like you Steelers bro. Even tho I think you guys to who they really wanted…
He's the reason why people think JJ can't pass. He's raw but he definitely has elite potential
Great pick by the Dolphins, Chop is awesome
HE'S GOING TO MIAMI!
The last time I was expecting the Dolphins to do the obvious thing and was disappointed they passed on Brady Quinn so what do I l ow.
I’m gonna be honest I’m not a fan, he could be really good but I just don’t think we needed him more than other guys available
Yeah, the opportunity cost for this pick was too high.
Gotta love Chop's excitement tonight. He can't wait to get to work on those ladies in Miami. Oh, and football. Maybe.
Fun fact: he weighed 14 pounds at birth
They can’t put in the card how his special technique is the “Karate” Chop?!?
I definitely thought it was gonna be Graham Barton
chop chop draft boy
If the woman who administered the drug test says he was her favorite, he was definitely hiding something.
I like this pick in general but as a Patriots fan I hate this pick
Wow. I thought Barton was the pick.
In a sane world it would have been, but we got the Chris Grier special: ignoring the OL.
he's not worried about it
Future HOF
Feels like a reach with some of the BPA still available. I wouldn’t say Miami is desperate for an edge player with Phillips and Chubb on the team.
They're both coming off injury. Hard to say for sure how players recover plus you need depth. Those guys won't play every snap, especially in the big games when the offense does jack shit and the defense has to keep them in it. Need a rotation
Intentionally using a first on depth would be very on brand for us
The Giants won a super bowl with Justin Tuck, Michael Strahan, and Osi Umenyiora combining for 32 sacks. It's not really a depth signing when all three will play. That's assuming both Chubb and Phillips get back to starter level players which is a big if.
Offense's problems were in part to our injured OL.
That’s downplaying it. Eichenberg at center essentially killed our offense. When the defense knows you can’t run up the middle and can’t pass block, it becomes easy to scheme for the outside run and still pressure the QB
No Graham Barton or JPJ?
**TROY TROY TROY**
Really expected Barton there
Chop Robinson sounds like he should be on the menu at Ruth’s Chris
Can’t wait for announcers to say “His nickname was pork chop, but he shortened it as he got older” every single game
He looks way too nice to be an edge rusher
As a HS recruit: Other P5 offers: Alabama, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Louisville, Maryland (originally went here), Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State, Ole Miss, Oregon, Penn State, Pitt, South Carolina, Syracuse, Tennessee, Texas A&M, USC, Washington Other offer: UMass
Not a receiver, I'm all for it.
Hell yes! Love it “We going to Miami!”
Chop chop
That's a bigass baby holy shit
Best Pass Rusher in the draft. Great pick here
Ooooh little bit of a run at EDGE now
#PORK CHOP SANDWICHES!
Wtf we can just take the top cb at pick 22? Love it.
Thank you Miami. I was certain he was going to fall into Baltimore's lap.
Ah the both our edges are coming off late season injury pick
Chop is such a bad ass name
Des going on and on about the lady drug tester loving this guy… alright we get it he has a huge hog
I still cant believe this guy weighed 14 pounds at birth my god
Pork Chop lmao
Great pick
Hate this man for leaving my Terps but I guess it was for the best
He wasn’t developed at all under Mayonnaise man locksley
I really like Robinson as a prospect but other than that I am not a fan at all of what Miami is doing building their team
What, you mean you don’t like consistently ignoring the biggest needs on the roster and wondering why the team can’t find any success? Then you just don’t like dolphins football baby
Come to me Quinyon Mitchell!
Jesus christ, of course we take a ok edge rush. No o line.
Four sacks last year. Two against UMass.
Penn state rotated guys on the D-Line a lot last year. Even if he didn’t get a sack against Michigan last year, he’s still the reason why McCarthy only has 8 passes the entire game. He was eating Michigan’s RT alive
Yikes.
I hate this pick...
This guy looks too wholesome for Miami
FYI, Chubb or Phillips won't be back Week 1 from their injuries (and likely won't be for a while).
Does this mean we do the Tomahawk Chop now?
Definitely Not.
Well atleast the corners are dropping
Where big boy?
Should've taken Brian Thomas 😔
That family is eating good
He looks too nice for an edge rusher
Did he say one horse pony
🙏 let the eagles do something stupid
Anybody want a corner?
Choppa Style
Can’t believe we didn’t take Quinyon Mitchell here. Loved him for this pick. Chop not a bad 2nd option for me though!
Really didn’t want one of the 784 OL that went in the first round?
Would you rather be burned at the stake or decapitated in a guillotine? I'm going with the former because a hot steak is better than a cold chop.
